Let me start out by saying I can't count the number of times before and after I got engaged that I said I would never get a wedding planner and could do it all myself with my mom (I laugh as I just typed that by the way). Well, that was until I met Cody Smith! As I began booking vendors, I continued to get asked who my wedding planner was and kept saying that I did not need one. They probably thought I was nuts. It wasn't until I booked my photographer that he explicitly told me I needed a wedding planner and the wedding planner I should hire was Cody Smith. That was hands down the best advice I received during the planning process. From our first call with Cody, we knew she was definitely our girl! As we began working with Cody, we loved everything about her. Cody is incredibly talented at what she does and on top of that is so kind and truly cares about you not as just a bride but as a person. Cody took every idea that we had for our wedding and brought it to a whole other level that I could never have imagined. The time she puts in, the detail, energy, and dedication that Cody brings makes you feel as if you are the only bride she is working with. Cody was exactly what I never knew I needed but can't describe how lucky and grateful I am to have had Cody as my wedding planner. Cody is so much more than just your wedding planner; she becomes your family. My wedding was the wedding of my dreams and perfect in every way. I can 100% say that my wedding day was perfect because I had Cody as a wedding planner. Cody, I can't thank you enough for all that you did for us and our wedding. I am so grateful for you. You are the best of the best and one of a kind, as I said in the title a gift from the Wedding Gods! If you are a bride like me who thinks you do not need a wedding planner, I am here to tell you I promise you that you do. And the wedding planner to hire is Cody. -

If you are searching for your personal wedding fairy godmother- stop searching- you have found her. Cody Smith is the epitome of organization, selflessness, and wonderfulness.
I reached out to Cody during my initial search for a wedding/ day of coordinator. We chatted on the phone about my vision, what I was looking for, my theme, and she gave me so many recommendations; as well as suggestions, since I was planning a wedding outside of my local area. We hadn't even talked about her being hired yet- but she did all of this because she is an amazing human. When my fiancé' came home, I cried to him, telling him I just just fallen in love with Cody during our 30 minute consultation and I wanted/needed her. She was truly my wedding gift!
Cody organized Zoom meetings, phone calls, and emails between just us and then adding in our other vendors. She wanted to be involved in the entire process to assist us. Cody was available, responsive, caring, and open to my every need and crazy ideas. She embraced the vision, worked her magic, and most importantly, took the time to get to know me. I feel like I made a friend for life in Cody- she was there for my best moment- and every detail leading up to it. Whether you want Cody Smith Weddings for your entire wedding process, or just a day of coordinator- you will not be disappointed; however Cody and her team are work every cent, and I couldn't have enjoyed the planning process as much without her!
On the day of our wedding, my husband and I looked at each other during dinner and asked how we felt- we ere both eerily calm, relaxed, and at ease. Everyone always says you will be stressed, flying around, and you barely ger to enjoy or remember your wedding day. Due to Cody and her team, everything was taken care of and we got to truly enjoy our entire wedding day- from the drinks, the food, the dancing, the guests, and all the little moments in between- that is absolutely invaluable to me, and it's all due to Cody. I cannot endorse her enough- immense thanks to you Cody! -

Working with Cody was the best choice me and my husband made for planning our special day. She was so responsive and constantly communicating with us to ensure that all our major deadlines were met without worry. She facilitated the communication with my other vendors- one less thing I had to worry about while I was working full time. She was immensely organized as well. She never missed a beat and noted every last thing I would say or a vendor would say to ensure a flawless execution that fit my vision. Beyond all her professionalism and connections in the industry, Cody is such a sweet soul. She was like part of the family and made me, my husband, and our family feel so comfortable around her.
On the big day, she brought an amazing team of people to attend to me and my husband. The bridal and groom attendants were so helpful; they would get us drinks, carry a "go-bag" with lipstick, tissues, blotting sheets, etc, hang out during pictures to hold my drink, fluff my dress, and fix our hair (it was a windy day so this was invaluable!). The attendants were also so comfortable to be around and made me, my husband, and our parties feel so special.
If you are looking for a planner, Cody is your girl. Her attention to detail, organization skills, connections in the industry, and communication are unmatched. I couldn't imagine going through my wedding without her behind the scenes ensuring it was everything me and my husband wanted. -

Wow. Cody made the experience of planning a wedding not stressful at all. She is super quick to respond to text or email! She advocated for us to our vendors. We had a weekly call going over any questions she had for us or we had for her. She thinks of EVERYTHING. Our vendors knew her already and had only nice things to say about her. We were not planning on hiring a planner, but we are so glad that we did. No regrets at all! Cody made the most detailed wedding day timeline that really helped my type A self. Cody is so easy to talk to and helped us to be relaxed. She even did our florals; she did such a beautiful job for a fraction of the cost! Seriously, we cannot recommend her enough. Book her already!! -

Cody is amazing to work with. She is thoughtful and responsive and really takes care of everything so that we were able to enjoy our special day. The best decision I made for my wedding was hiring Cody.
Our wedding day itself could not have been more special. Cody delivered on everything we wanted and then some. There were several times that night I just had to give Cody a big hug, given how perfect everything was.
From our first conversation, it was clear she would offer a personalized service, and that she deeply cared about making our wedding special. She got to know us so well over a short period of time that she was able to accurately predict each choice of vendor we would make before we did. It got to the point that I just asked her to provide her first choice, and then one alternative so I could price compare (and we always picked the first choice!)
She remained in constant communication leading up to the wedding, and made sure we stayed on schedule and were on track at every step. Her planning documents were meticulous yet made everything easy to keep track of.
As I mentioned, the wedding itself blew my already high expectations out of the water. From the moment she showed up on the day-of to the last moment of the reception, Cody and her team had everything covered and running smoothly. Even when we had an emergency come up with our wedding suits, her team was able to fix the problem quickly and make sure everything was perfect! As an extremely type-A person, it's hard for me to not stress about the details, but I was able to just relax and enjoy myself all night knowing Cody was handling whatever would come up.
I could not have asked for a better wedding planner. Do yourself a favor: hire Cody. -

From my first conversation with Cody, I knew she was the one! Cody was most definitely the best decision we made for our wedding.
From the start, she was personable and professional, and I was confident she had our best interests in mind with every decision she made during the planning process.
It wasn't easy to plan our wedding in Charlottesville after moving out of state two months after getting engaged. Cody made the planning process as easy as possible. I trusted every vendor recommendation Cody provided, and we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out!
I truly miss my weekly planning calls with Cody, and I know she will remain a friend for life. Cody possesses all of the qualities you want in a planner--she is extremely responsive, organized, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I spoke with several other planners and compared them to Cody each time. None of them even came close to Cody's level of passion and experience.
You will not regret your decision to hire Cody--we literally could not have done it without her! -

The best of the best
I wish I could give Cody a million stars. No review could ever do her justice. She’s the absolute best in the business, she came into our wedding a month before and took everything off of my hands and handled it as if she has been a part of our wedding for years. She learned the ins and outs of our wedding plans/hopes/expectations and helped create the best day of our lives. I truly could have never done it without her. She saw all the things that could’ve gone wrong (the things I would have never thought about) and made sure they never happened on our day. Her husband and team went far beyond our greatest expectations. She truly was my fairy godmother and provided the best service for our ceremony and reception. I cannot thank her enough!!!! -

As a reference from my wedding photographer, Cody Smith Weddings is the absolute best! Cody is such a quality wedding planner!
Cody always had my best interest at heart! I immediately realized that I could trust in Cody’s advice, whether it be with vendors or just my own design ideas. With Cody being excellent with communicating amongst vendors and myself, I did not ever have to deal with any issues during our wedding planning. Cody and I would speak once a week, those calls helped so much with every aspect of the wedding design plan. Cody also has such a creative vision, this vision made for such a unique design plan for my wedding. With Cody’s ideas, maracas were placed on the guests’ seats at the ceremony to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us as we said our vows! Cody was ever present in creating a personalized online wedding document for us, helping us to keep up with all the details of our wedding. Cody also created a detailed wedding timeline for the wedding party and all of the vendors for our wedding day. Cody made sure that all of our wedding dreams would come true!
The day of the wedding, it was evident just how much attention to detail that Cody had given to our special day. Everything was in place and perfect! The details and our venue, absolutely stunning!
Cody made sure that my bridesmaids and I were well taken care of on my wedding day. She assigned Lillian as our bridal assistant. My wedding dress was a ball gown, Lillian carried my dress everywhere with me. I do not believe that my dress ever touched the ground on my wedding day. I also had a very elongated and detailed veil, Lillian made sure that my veil was always in place during our first look and wedding ceremony. Lillian even helped fix sewing detail with my bridesmaids dresses. Impressive! She was always asking if we needed anything or could help us in any way. She was the sweetest and so caring with us girls! By the end of the night, I absolutely adored her!
Cody, our wedding was a fairytale and it was all because of you!
I will miss my wedding planning with Cody, but I will miss her heart the most! 🤍 -

The BEST wedding planner we could have asked for
If you are trying to decide on a wedding planner, there is no need to look any further. HIRE CODY! From our very first phone call, I knew we would be in great hands. Cody is communicative, honest, transparent, patient, and incredibly detail-oriented (this is an understatement - she has a plan for absolutely every scenario). Cody has a contagious warmth and her passion for wedding planning is clear in all that she does. After our wedding night send-off, my husband and I got into the car and literally looked at each other and said "Cody is amazing."
Cody will make you feel heard throughout the entire wedding planning process. This is SO important since planning can feel like a whirlwind at times. She has a delicate way of navigating varying preferences while also expressing her own advice/recommendations from years of industry experience.
We LOVE Cody and couldn't be more grateful for her and all that she did to make our wedding perfect. -
