I am an extremely organized person and didn't think I needed a wedding coordinator (nor could I afford one). However, circumstances aligned in such a way that I was able to hire Cara to work on my wedding. I will be forever grateful. I had the day of coordinator package, which is actually a month of package. But well before the month started, Cara would email me pictures and concepts she knew I would be interested in. When the month started, we met so that I could give her all my contracts and vendor list. However, her importance became evident the week of the wedding. While I as running around with all my DIY projects, Cara was creating an itinerary for all my vendors so that everyone was on the same page. She was also calling all the vendors to finalize details. This was vitally important work that would have taken me hours. The day of the wedding she was double checking to make sure that the vendors executed my vision. But she also had the experience and courage to tell me when my vision would not work. I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding.

I am such an overplanner that I wasn't sure I needed a wedding coordinator at first, but now that my wedding is over, I can't imagine not having hired one. We contracted with Cara for the day-of-coordination services for my wedding in September 2012. I knew she would be a good fit from our initial meeting before signing the contract because she paid attention to detail, took lots of notes, and asked me many questions. She cared about all the details as much as I did. We signed the contract many months in advance but she still stayed in touch via email and made sure everything was going well. She was very responsive and was easy to schedule all of our meetings such as venue walk through. We had signed up for Day-of-coordination, but it felt like so much more. She really prevented any potential problems by thinking of everything and being really prepared. My lighter didn't work for our wedding candles and she magically had another one. She coordinated with all of my vendors, provided advice whenever I asked for it, and didn't push her own ideas on to me or try to make me change my mind about some things, even if they sounded crazy to others. If you are an overplanner like me, she makes sure all of your little details are carried out so you don't have to worry about it all night, and makes sure everything runs smoothly. You don't want to have to be in charge of it all that night and it wouldn't be fair to make your friends and family to do so much that they can't enjoy your wedding. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding once that didn't have a coordinator and we all stood around a the rehearsal not knowing what to do, and I don't know if we ever got to the garter and bouquet toss during the wedding before many people had left because everything was running late. So I'd recommend Cara to anyone who wants to make their day go perfect and run smoothly.

I found Cara through Wedding wire.com and contracted regarding her Day of package. From our initial email conversations and first meetings through the end of my reception, Cara has been very professional, organized, and just a pleasure to work with. I began working with her 3 months before my wedding and her input and support was invaluable. Although, I was only doing her day of package she was always available to help and answer any questions I had well before the bid day. Having her help me took so much pressure and stress out of planning, I’m so grateful to her! Everything ran as planned the day of, all due to her coordination with all my vendors and expert advice. On February 18th, we had a wedding in Pasadena with approximately 100 guests in attendance. Cara was in charge of all wedding planning for the event which included coordinating all the vendors (photography, d.j., florist, etc.), working with the wedding venue personnel and managing the rehearsal, wedding day preparation, ceremony, and reception. Both the bride and I work in finance in NYC which left us little time for wedding planning and the disadvantage of not living close to the actual wedding venue. Therefore, Cara had an outsized responsibility in terms of executing all pre-wedding planning. We were very impressed by the way Cara identified the key items that needed attention, creatively thought through possible solutions and generally took care of as much as she could without the bride or groom's involvement. No detail went unnoticed - it was as if Cara had been through several hundred such ceremonies. During the actual wedding day, Cara was well prepared for our early morning rehearsal and worked with all the key people in the wedding party to ensure they knew exactly where to go and what to do. Both sets of parents are quite old and nervous about what their responsibilities were. Cara patiently worked with them and quickly put their concerns at ease. Throughout the whole day and night, Cara worked hard to make sure everything behind the scenes ran smoothly. Looking back, I don't remember a single hiccup - the way a wedding ceremony should always be. Whenever the bride and groom needed Cara, she was right there. Before an issue even arose, she was quick to address it. Even after our wedding day was complete, Cara followed through to make sure the billing was correct and that all loose ends were tied up. She took great pride in making sure we were satisfied with her work until everything was official "in the books".
In summary, I highly recommend Cara for your wedding. She is very professional, polished and easy to work with. You are in good hands as long as she is coordinating. We received a lot of positive comments about "how smooth and flawless the wedding was". I give Cara the well-deserved credit for these acknowledgements.

Cara was my day of coordinator for my wedding and did an absolute amazing job. We worked together for a month prior to the wedding (long distance through emails and phone calls) and she went through every detail and every contract to make sure any potential issues were resolved prior to the wedding day (no bridezilla or last minute uh oh moments here!). On the day of, she made sure we kept to the timeline to prevent potential overtime fees to vendors and made sure everything was set up beautifully. My husband (still not used to that label) & I met Cara in December 2011 and immediately how professional and organized she was. Cara provided day of wedding coordination for our wedding. Even though part of our contract was that Cara would provide unlimited communication one month prior to our wedding date, she would thoughtfully email us before then, throughout the year just to check in with us and remind us that she was thinking of us (very thoughtful).
We met with Cara in person 3 times and she really was helpful and made me more aware of other things that I should be thinking about for our wedding (planning a wedding is no small feat) to cover all bases. She also came to our dress rehearsal and set up (I was a DIY bride, so I had to set up everything all myself). She was always ready and willing to help and open to new ideas. She was very patient and understanding. She provided us great feedback.
She reminded us on the wedding day of things that we had forgotten (like getting our marriage certificate signed by the officiant and 2 witnesses) after we made our wedding timeline with her. I was also just amazed that she was helping to put things away outside (our reception was inside and ceremony was indoors) during our reception. Everything ran perfectly thanks to her watchful eye of time. She even was good at reminding me to calm down when I had my nervous moments. (and also put up with my bridezilla stressed out moment the day before the wedding) Her services was just outstanding and blew us away. I would highly recommend Cara for anyone's wedding.

The groom is from Scotland and arrived in California just two weeks before the wedding, so we planned the wedding mostly via phone, email, and Skype. Along the way we found Cara through a popular wedding forum. We are both so glad that she was there to help in the run-up to the wedding!
Cara helped plan out the timeline for the big day, reviewed and organized contracts for each vendor, identified problem details you or I might not spot, and kept in contact with each vendor to make sure they all knew what was expected of them the day of. She helped us plan for our fluctuating guest count (we ended at about 130), provided useful suggestions for seating arrangements, and was particularly helpful and extremely professional when we were dealing with a difficult venue sales rep. Additionally, she was a great support system and bouncing board during those times when family and friends’ opinions can become overwhelming.
Cara was prompt to every meeting and never let us down, despite the crazy California traffic! She organised our whole rehearsal and walked us through the precise details of the ceremony, then made us practice the difficult parts until it all went smoothly and we were comfortable with each step.
On the big day itself, her presence was light, yet she was always nearby when we wanted to ask her something or needed to make a last minute change to our plan. We got anxious now and again about certain details but Cara always had a handle on things and knew exactly what was going on. Her presence was very reassuring. She was early to arrive at the venue and helped coordinate the room set-up as our vendors arrived; she made sure everyone knew what they were doing and was basically the master of every detail.
Our whole experience with Cara was fantastic. I’m sure many weddings have a lot of people helping, but when everyone has an opinion it really makes a difference having someone there who is solely focused in helping make your day how you want it. And assuming you only plan one wedding in your life, there is no substitute for a professional eye who can not only spot issues but has the problem-solving insights to offer suggestions and help fix them. She was patient and calming through the whole process. One of the nicest things about Cara was not just her professional capability; it was her enjoyment and delight at the whole event. We don’t know how she stays relaxed through what seemed to be a stressful and complex event, but she does her job with such competent enthusiasm that it really helped us both to enjoy the day. It was a real pleasure to have Cara there and we couldn’t recommend her more.
