Olive is managed by Pia Mäkynen and Michele Bartoli. Pia is finnish in origin, Tuscan since 2004. Michele is her hubby, a native florentine who knows many nice spots and hidden gems. We live, travel and eat in Tuscany every day, searching for nice spots and great experiences, that we wish to share with you.
We manage our daily tasks with Nordic precision and with Italian passion. Together with our selected local partners we organise bespoke weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and family reunions. Our work brings us around in Tuscany and beyond, in search for the loveliest spots, and the greatest adventures.
We work on a mission of love. Finding and creating something unique is equally important to us, as it is to you. Pia and Michele were on hand at very short notice to advise and make arrangements. Nothing was too much for them. They were fantastic on every single task at every point along the way sorting Legality of marriage abroad, advised us through the food tastings, arranged the town hall viewings and final details, acted as the official translator, sorted a last minute private restaurant for all of our guests the night before the wedding, organised the hotels and transfers for many of our guests, advised sourced and collected the flowers, fantastic recommendations for photographers, stood in for the DJ when he was late through dinner (we didn't even realise), ensured not just our day, but our entire week in Tuscany was unforgettable for us and our guests, and nearly totally stress free!. Olive in Love was worth every penny and we would recommend them in a heart beat to anybody looking for an Italian wedding.
