Our Italian Fairytale

I don’t know where to start with how fantastic Silvia is and was in making our wedding genuinely the best day of our lives.
We met Silvia almost 2 years before our wedding and she was professional, organised and knowledgeable in every area we were not. She made a process that initially felt very overwhelming , extremely care free and allowed us to truly enjoy the build up to our wedding . We knew very soon that Silvia was the right person for us and had met other wedding planners prior.

She was very honest and reasonable about our budget and ensured that we were realistic with our planning. Despite thinking that we might not be able to afford certain things, Silvia was creative and dynamic in finding solutions and it meant we had our dream wedding whilst maintaining our budget.

We met Silvia first in February during our tasting menu at our venue. She organised everything, was attentive and again allowed us to enjoy the process whilst she noted our likes and dislikes. She was incredibly flexible during this time and worked around our schedule despite being very busy herself. She never made it seem like she was too busy to respond and always ensured somebody was able to support us with queries if she was not around. Her colleague Antonella responded to us and also met us at the venue at our tasting and was superb. She was also an expert and had all the answers we needed. We remain incredibly grateful to Silvia and Antonella as they never made a question seem silly despite us repeating ourselves.

Silvia had a portfolio of vendors who worked locally at different prices and every single one of the vendors on our wedding day were absolutely amazing. We are so happy for these recommendations and would say this is vital if you are getting married abroad.

At the actual event, including the pizza party and wedding day, Silvia remained attentive, ensuring I had food and a drink whilst speaking to all of our guests and quietly reminding me of the timeline in such a calm way that again, the day was entirely stress free.

Silvia is an extremely kind and warm individual who we would recommend to absolutely everyone . She will always hold such a special place in our wedding journey and we are so grateful to her. Thank you again Silvia.

We started our wedding 2 years ago from Canada, and were only able to meet Sylvia once during that span in person (long distances). Throughout the long distances and planning time, Sylvia was available to help us when needed, helped book all our vendors and see to it that we had a flawless wedding, straight out of a fairytale. Even now, a month after our wedding, she is in communication and helping with some vendor followup and questions. Sylvia made time for us throughout the planning process when needed, dealing with time differences, making great vendor recommendations or supporting with background checks when needed and even has a legal background which gave us a sound mind when dealing with contracts! Besides her immense professionalism, what really would make me recommend Sylvia as a wedding planner to any couple, is her ability to connect with us on a personal level. A wedding is a deeply personal event and we didn't want to feel like we had a stranger present with us. Sylvia is a wonderful person, was fun to be around and helped navigate what could be stressful situations/questions, with a comfortable and effective presence. We had a 3-day wedding and Sylvia stayed on site for all 3 days to ensure the events went smoothly. We truly cannot recommend Silvia enough. From the moment we started planning nearly two years ago, she was the heart and soul of our wedding journey. Planning a destination wedding in Italy from afar seemed daunting at first, but Silvia made it feel like a walk in the park.

There aren't enough good words to say about Silvia!! She was amazing! Extremely professional, responsive and helpful. She answered emails promptly, listened to my concerns, made any revisions I asked for, and she was extremely organized. She gave great advice on design and layout when I wasn’t sure what would look best. On the wedding day, I didn't have to worry about anything because she created a very in-depth timeline and she made sure everything happened when it was supposed to. Hiring Silvia was THE best decision we could have ever made. Where to even begin… we knew from the moment we first met Silvia she would be the one we wanted to work with. She was extremely buttoned up, professional, and kind. We’re type A people in the DC area, and we have which standards. Silvia far surpassed all expectations. She was an absolute angel and our family and friends all recognized this and commented on this as well.

For the many months we communicated and planned she was efficient and organized. We appreciated that we were able to accomplish most details over email, WhatsApp, etc and hop on a video chat for check ins. Huge help with the time zones.

Silvia helped navigate cultural nuances between our cultures and read through all of our contacts and ensured every detail was right.

Her network of wedding professionals were excellent. It was great to rely on her expertise and relationships.

We hosted 3 nights of events planned by Silvia: pizza party, pasta party, and wedding. Each was unique and absolutely stunning. She brought great ideas to the table like hiring the Italian folk trio and tambourines for our pizza party.

Two days before our wedding the grooms father had a medical trauma and missed all of the wedding events. Not only was Silvia helpful, and kind during this scary time she was pivotal. Her husband even drove the grooms family to the hospital one day and translated for them and helped answer a few questions that we could have never known not being familiar with Italian healthcare. We had not planned on hiring a videographer originally but due to the events decided we wanted to video it to share with the father. Silvia miraculously found a videographer in August the day before the wedding for us. True talent.

There is not enough room to sing her praises. Hire Silvia. It will be the best decision you make.

Silvia was beyond fantastic! She really made our vision and dream come true. I threw a lot of crazy requests at her and she somehow sourced all of them! She was always extremely responsive even with the time differences and so attentive the weekend of! If I was ever to throw another Italian event or even renew my vows she’s 100% who I would choose to work with again.

When your wedding is over and even your guests are saying… “Your wedding planner seemed incredible!”…you can’t help but to say… believe me I know!

I was drawn to Sylvia because of her warm, friendly, and professional introduction. It was easy to interview a lot of overly bubbly wedding planners and although Sylvia was passionate, enthusiastic and eager to make our dreams come true she was also calm and sincere from the start. It is easy to get ecstatic over a wedding but trust me when it’s a month out from your big day in another country, you want someone who you can trust will deliver and remain calm!

I never once felt like she was trying to sell me or direct me into what most people do at weddings. In fact, she was a great listener and took time to learn what was important to us as a couple…even during times when we weren’t sure ourselves.

She is incredibly knowledgeable about the wedding industry and has a wide understanding of American and Italian weddings. She does her research and is resourceful to make sure you are getting the vendors of your choosing and finding the best prices for your budget. When hurdles do arrive, she is quick to find a resolution. During our long distance zoom calls there were many times we went over the allotted time and Sylvia rarely even commented on it. Instead she made sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed and I always left the call feeling reassured.

Sylvia truly cares about all the details of your wedding day and will oversee that all vendors deliver their very best. She is excellent at what she does and when I say our wedding was better than we could have imagined it is an understatement. And we know working with Sylvia had a big role in making our Italian fairytale come true!

Recently attended a wedding that Silvia planned I truly can't sing her praises enough. Not only was she the calm in the presence of a literal hurricane on the wedding day, at each event she made sure that she found me ahead of each event to tell me which dishes were nut free and alerted the entire staff as well so I wouldn't accidentally eat something that I was allergic to. Would recommend to anyone!
