Silvia guided us through every step of planning our destination wedding in Monte Isola, Italy this past June. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and calm, reassuring energy made what could have been an overwhelming process feel completely seamless.
Silvia’s expertise in vendor selection was invaluable. Every recommendation she made, from our florist to our photographer, exceeded our expectations. She coordinated all aspects of our four-day wedding celebration, including the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony, and the farewell brunch, ensuring that every detail was flawlessly executed. Traveling to a different country for a multi-day event could have been stressful for us and our guests, but Silvia handled everything with grace, precision, and elegance.

Fairytale Wedding in Italy
We started our wedding 2 years ago from Canada, and were only able to meet Sylvia once during that span in person (long distances). Throughout the long distances and planning time, Sylvia was available to help us when needed, helped book all our vendors and see to it that we had a flawless wedding, straight out of a fairytale. Even now, a month after our wedding, she is in communication and helping with some vendor followup and questions. Sylvia made time for us throughout the planning process when needed, dealing with time differences, making great vendor recommendations or supporting with background checks when needed and even has a legal background which gave us a sound mind when dealing with contracts! Besides her immense professionalism, what really would make me recommend Sylvia as a wedding planner to any couple, is her ability to connect with us on a personal level. A wedding is a deeply personal event and we didn't want to feel like we had a stranger present with us. Sylvia is a wonderful person, was fun to be around and helped navigate what could be stressful situations/questions, with a comfortable and effective presence. We had a 3-day wedding and Sylvia stayed on site for all 3 days to ensure the events went smoothly. If you are planning a wedding in Italy, especially from overseas, book Sylvia; she will make the planning process simple, execute items efficiently and give you your fairytale!

We truly cannot recommend Silvia enough. From the moment we started planning nearly two years ago, she was the heart and soul of our wedding journey. Planning a destination wedding in Italy from afar seemed daunting at first, but Silvia made it feel like a walk in the park.
Silvia brought our vision to life. Every detail, big and small, was executed flawlessly. She was always quick to respond, incredibly organized, and never hesitated to jump on a call to talk through anything that needed extra attention. She was patient when we changed our minds, resourceful when plans shifted, and always stayed one step ahead.
On our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly that if anything went wrong, we would have never known. It was perfect, and having that peace of mind truly made the day that much more enjoyable. By the end of our wedding, she wasn’t just our wedding planner, but rather a dear friend.

There aren't enough good words to say about Silvia!! She was amazing! Extremely professional, responsive and helpful. She answered emails promptly, listened to my concerns, made any revisions I asked for, and she was extremely organized. She gave great advice on design and layout when I wasn’t sure what would look best. On the wedding day, I didn't have to worry about anything because she created a very in-depth timeline and she made sure everything happened when it was supposed to. Silvia was the absolute best. I can’t recommend her enough! She was a true hero.
Hiring Silvia was THE best decision we could have ever made. Where to even begin… we knew from the moment we first met Silvia she would be the one we wanted to work with. She was extremely buttoned up, professional, and kind. We’re type A people in the DC area, and we have which standards. Silvia far surpassed all expectations. She was an absolute angel and our family and friends all recognized this and commented on this as well.
For the many months we communicated and planned she was efficient and organized. We appreciated that we were able to accomplish most details over email, WhatsApp, etc and hop on a video chat for check ins. Huge help with the time zones.
Silvia helped navigate cultural nuances between our cultures and read through all of our contacts and ensured every detail was right.
Her network of wedding professionals were excellent. It was great to rely on her expertise and relationships.
We hosted 3 nights of events planned by Silvia: pizza party, pasta party, and wedding. Each was unique and absolutely stunning. She brought great ideas to the table like hiring the Italian folk trio and tambourines for our pizza party.
Two days before our wedding the grooms father had a medical trauma and missed all of the wedding events. Not only was Silvia helpful, and kind during this scary time she was pivotal. Her husband even drove the grooms family to the hospital one day and translated for them and helped answer a few questions that we could have never known not being familiar with Italian healthcare. We had not planned on hiring a videographer originally but due to the events decided we wanted to video it to share with the father. Silvia miraculously found a videographer in August the day before the wedding for us. True talent.
There is not enough room to sing her praises. Hire Silvia. It will be the best decision you make.

Literal angel
Silvia is amazing. Our wedding was perfect, there is nothing I would change, and we had a mini tornado wind vortex take out the outdoor seating about 20 minutes before the wedding was about to start. When I tell you we had no stress, I mean we were laughing and joking inside because Silvia has everything always under control.
Silvia's attention to detail was incredible - we had things I didn't even think about and they were beautiful and exactly right. All of our guest said the wedding was one of the best they'd been to because it was so well paced and so without stress. Everything was organized and lovely and I can tell you my husband and I were definitely not the reasons for that.

Where to start! Working with Silvia was hands down the best decision we made!! Right from the start Silvia was so helpful, always helping us with our budget, recommending and speaking with vendors, and helping bring our vision to life. It was also so lovely meeting her in person for the food and wine tasting a few months before the wedding. Silvia made the lead up to our wedding stress-free and we felt very calm. And then on the day she was wonderful. The whole day was seamless, and we could really enjoy our day as opposed to worrying about timings/vendors/weather plans. I can't recommend her enough. Silvia was absolutely outstanding from the first time we met her until the day we sadly had to say goodbye to her. We couldn’t recommend her enough. Silvia is organised beyond belief and always kept us in check when our busy lives got in the way of wedding planning! She listened to our vision and went over and above with what she delivered. Silvia created our perfect wedding, even more perfect than we imagined and she took all of the stress away from us. We changed our minds so many times on the small and big details and Silvia tirelessly worked to make our vision a reality.
When we finally met Silvia in person, she was just as lovely as we thought! She scoured the streets of Polignano a Mare for some sparklers for us and brought flowers for our hair on the morning of the wedding when we changed our minds again!
Silvia made our wedding day so relaxed, she took care of everything and made sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing so we could just enjoy our day. She made sure all of the vendors were doing exactly what they should have been and we couldn’t believe that we were so lucky to have found her.
Silvia flew to Puglia to do our food tasting when we couldn’t make it and did various site visits for other wedding events we wanted. She stayed long until we partied into the night both at the wedding and at the after party and if there were any problems at all, Silvia was already there solving them before we could even notice!
Silvia is incredible at what she does and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone at our wedding said how incredible and professional she was. We would recommend her to anyone who is thinking of getting married in Italy. She is amazing! -

Our Italian Fairytale is exactly as it sounds--and the best thing that could have happened to my now husband and I. Silvia at Our Italian Fairytale made every part of the wedding planning process enjoyable, effortless, and done to an exceptional standard. From the start, Silvia took the time to get to know us as people. She listened to our goals and visions for our wedding and brought us every resource we needed to make it a reality. Silvia responded promptly to emails and always answered my planning questions with kindness and grace! Her fluency with English and Italian was so helpful in communicating and choosing the best vendors to suit our style and vision. We confidently put our faith in Silvia's hands and would do it several times over.
When we met Silvia in Italy for the first time she was just as lovely as she was via Zoom and email! Silvia made our three day wedding celebration PERFECT in every sense of the word. When reflecting on our wedding day from three weeks ago, we have only overwhelmingly positive things to say. We could not have dreamed up a better three day celebration and we know for CERTAIN that we would not have been able to execute the perfection of our time in Italy without her. How do I even begin? Silvia was stellar in every way, and we are so lucky to have found her; our wedding would not have been half as magical, logistically smooth, budget-friendly, or stress-free without her. We booked Silvia almost two years before our wedding date and right away she graciously answered my giddy emails about floral arrangement ideas or seating charts when is was FAR too early to make decisions at all. She found and booked a dream venue that checked all our boxes (and more!), facilitated amazing deals with vendors, negotiated and translated contracts, and did all the legwork to achieve a three-day wedding weekend we could have NEVER conceived of ourselves. At the wedding, our guests commented on her amazing project management, warm demeanor, and availability to answer any question-- big or small. We found OIF/Silvia before the pandemic and she helped us navigate all of the changes and updating of contracts, and I have no idea how we could have managed without her. We are located in the US and finding vendors abroad can be very challenging. Her connections to local vendors, her organization, attention to detail and vision are invaluable. Our wedding was beyond my wildest dreams, and all thanks to Silvia. We talked about our vision in the beginning, provided examples on Pinterest and talked over our most important details. We first hired Silvia shortly before the covid-19 pandemic. When we first met her, we immediately knew she was organized and had fantastic attention to detail. As a native Italian speaker and lawyer, we could not have imagined anyone better to help navigate an Italian wedding and all the vendors/contracts from Chicago. She made planning a wedding amidst the covid pandemic easy. She constantly was on the phone with Italian government officials, updating my husband and I (and ALL of our guests) with all the latest travel details. She had lists of amazing venues, florists, photographers, and hair and makeup artists. Every person she offered us was accessible, prompt, talented, and a blast to work with. Her timelines for me, the bride, made planning everything easy.
But, above being incredible at her job, silvia is the kindest, warmest, most thoughtful wedding planner and FRIEND I could ever have imagined. By the wedding day, she must have exchanged just short of a million emails with me and my guests. She knew each of my friend’s names, travel itineraries, room numbers by heart. They all adored her and RAVED about how accessible, helpful, and kind she had been in helping them plan a trip to Italy amidst the pandemic. The wedding day was truly the definition of a fairy tale. I know that none of this would have happened in a million years without Silvia handling every step of the way. Words cannot express our gratitude for Silvia and Our Italian Fairytale. We really had the most incredible day of our lives. She made what I thought of as only a dream, a reality. It was the perfect wedding and it was all because of Silvia and the amazing people around her. She took the little direction I gave her (I am not a planner and did not have much of a vision) and created the most beautiful 3 day event, from the lemon tour and rehearsal dinner on the bay of Naples, to the wedding day/reception and lastly the farewell breakfast. During the planning phase, she was always very flexible, gave amazing suggestions, was extremely organized and responded almost immediately, even, at times, with the 6 hour time difference. She has the kindest heart and talks to you in way that makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. We always had the feeling we were in the best hands. The vendors Silvia works with are top notch, from the owners and employees of the villa, to the food, the music, the photographers and the hair and makeup artist; we couldn’t have worked with better professionals of their trade. All of our guests were simply amazed. Silvia became like family and I will always be extremely grateful for everything she did for us. She went above and beyond what we expected and I am incredibly thankful to have had her as my wedding planner and truly believe it would not have been as wonderful of a day without her. -

Anthony Sent on 06/21/2019Mind-blowing Experience with an Exceptionally Talented Wedding Planner
We decided to put our blind faith in an exceptionally talented wedding planner, Silvia La Perla, and we had the time of our lives. Without exaggeration, she attended to every possible detail, and our wedding was more exceptional and perfectly executed than we could have possibly imagined. I know this sounds like hyperbole or like I'm on her payroll. It's not the case. Her services were extremely affordable, and literally every aspect of our wedding was immensely enjoyable. My wife and I are from a completely different part of the country than Silvia. We had never met her before, and we actually didn't meet her until we arrived in Italy (apart from a Skype conversation). My wife initially liked a lot of her Pinterest material, so she reached out to Silvia to get information on her services. Things went quickly from there. She's a former attorney, so she was well organized and meticulous about details. She speaks both Italian and English very well. She helped us to pick a great venue where most of our guests could stay in the villa where we got married. The vendors she selected were simply incredible. The flowers were perfect and exactly as we wanted. The food...OMG THE FOOD...as good as the rest of the food was in Italy, it was really hard to beat the wedding food. INCREDIBLE. We spent 3 weeks in Italy, and we were still raving about our wedding food at the end of it. The pizza truck guy she hired for the day after brunch...I don't think we had better pizza anywhere else in Italy. I still dream of that pizza. Our rehearsal...just an incredible experience at a wonderful winery next to one of the most charming small towns in Italy. I know that you have to take what strangers on the internet say with more than a grain of salt, but in this instance...Silvia deserves all the credit in the world. You won't find someone anywhere near the price that will give you even close to as magnificent an experience as we had with Silvia. If I had any criticism at all, the only thing I'd say is that we should have given our photographers a bit more direction on exactly what sort of wedding photos we wanted. They free-styled quite a bit, and while they were very fun and talented, I think we would have asked for specific photos with certain family members and groups that we didn't ultimately get. That was on us more than her in that we didn't tell her about that in advance. Just something to keep in mind. Otherwise, as stated previously, we had the time of our lives and Silvia was a huge part of the reason. We'd give her a 10 out of 10 every day. She deserves it.Our Italian Fairytale's reply:

Truly an Italian "Fairytale"
Silvia was a dream to work with! We were unsure if we could pull off a destination wedding in Italy, but after our first communication with Silvia we knew she was the perfect wedding planner to make our dream wedding a reality. She was so responsive and professional every step of the way. It was beyond valuable to have someone based locally but able to communicate with the Italian vendors, negotiate our contracts, and bring our vision to life. She gave creative input and made recommendations based on Italian traditions while understanding exactly what we wanted for our special day. A Genuine Fairytale
We just returned from Sorrento where we celebrated my daughter Haleigh's wedding. Thanks to Silvia La Perla, it was indeed a genuine Italian Fairytale.
Silvia was proficient, professional and a delight to work with from our first conversation to our teary goodbye in Tasso Square. Her ideas were creative and reflective of our vision, her organizational skills kept us on schedule and on budget and her enthusiasm demonstrated that she was truly invested in our event.
She had the contacts and experience to know what would be successful for Haleigh's wedding festivities. From coordinating an all day excursion to Capri for our thirty guests, to identifying appropriate venues for both the rehearsal dinner and nuptials, to arranging shuttle transfers between all events, to suggesting vendors for music, flowers, photography, hair/make-up and, most appreciated, encouraging a nervous and weepy MOB to relax and let her handle the details, Silvia was worth her weight in gold.
I already miss our daily emails.

Silvia with Our Italian Fairy Tale Wedding was excellent! Every detail was perfect. From the day at Capri, to the rehearsal dinner, the wedding and the reception, it truly was a fairy tale wedding!
