Elena was our wedding venue's, Castello del Trebbio, suggested wedding planner/coordinator, so we were inclined to use her services. And we don't regret it! We hired Elena as our wedding day-of coordinator to take the stress off our shoulders on our wedding day - and boy was she a lifesaver! Elena was so receptive to our thoughts and ideas throughout the wedding planning process and suggested entertainment and outside vendors for us to use (all who were great). She even met with us when we visited our venue 6 months before the wedding, which eased a lot of our concerns and stress of planning an Italian wedding from the US. Elena is professional, SO friendly, and just a pleasure to work with. After meeting with 5 or 6 planners we ultimately chose Elena from the Italian Wedding Designer and she was a dream to work with. We are a gay couple based in New York, USA, and felt we needed a planner in the area to coordinate our Tuscan wedding over 3 days of events, considering time differences, language barriers, and cultural awareness. Elena brought her knowledge, expertise, and connections to make the wedding of our dreams come true. She would research and come up with options for any out of the box requests, while also reminding us of our budget to keep us on track. Inevitably, vendors would take their time to respond but Elena was always on top of them, following up, and communicating whenever she had any news or updates. We quickly were able to trust and know she had everything in hand. Each event of our wedding went off without a hitch. She and her team were like swans, visibly calm and elegant above water while busy coordinating every detail behind the scenes, taking every worry or concern off of our shoulders so we, and our guests, could relax and enjoy each event. Her attention to detail was such that on the day of our wedding she had 5 different weather sources monitoring the threat of rain (all giving different opinions and times) that would affect start times and whether the dinner would have to be moved inside. Her dedication to us, our guests, and our budget meant that she and her team even served the midnight snack at 1am so the caterers would not charge us extra for being there late. Our guests told us that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to, like they were in a movie, and a lot of that credit goes to Elena for making it all so special. Planning a wedding can be so stressful, especially when it's a destination wedding, but Elena really took away the majority of all that stress with a reassuring smile. It was an absolute delight working with Elena and her team to plan our dream wedding in Lake Como. She was great across the board - whether it was scouting venues (she has an amazingly comprehensive list and provided great guidance for all regions of Italy), planning with the venue and vendors, and coordinating with them on the days of the events. She made sure to be present for every event (rehearsal dinner, welcome event, full day of wedding, and day after event) and her presence was greatly appreciated (and extremely helpful). She also had great advice when it came down to selecting different options from vendors.
