We were very very pleased and happy with the services received from Hawaii Weddings & Events. We requested and paid for the day-of-wedding package services but our wedding planner, Wai Phungpradet, often went above and beyond the scope of her services. She was very professional, organized, proactive, and very pleasant to work with. She was firm and persistent with vendors to get the results we wanted, whether it was reducing costs here and there or setting up conference calls with them to make sure everyone was on the same page with the set-up times and layout.
Also, whatever my catering coordinator forgot to do, Wai was always prepared. If someone wasn't showing up for a conference call, she would track them down tirelessly to get them on the call. She got the job done. Even when the hotel was going to charge us $2.50 for each placecard that was to be put on each of the guests' tables, Wai did this for us so we wouldn't incur those charges.
She was very good at pointing out details that I would not have thought of, had a lot of great suggestions on everything and was always prepared when something wasn't going right.
For example on the day of my wedding, my strapless dress for some reason starting slipping off and I was really getting worried that it would fall off during the ceremony, but she came equipped with dress tape and pins and we were able to pull it off, flawlessly.
Our 75 guest outdoor wedding went flawlessly, thanks to Wai. Even some of my friends at the wedding commented on how on top of things she was.
The cost of a wedding planner is so worth it when you consider the value of having a peace of mind on your wedding day and access to someone with really great suggestions, vendor connections and of course, lots of experience with weddings (especially when you're trying to coordinate a destination wedding remotely, like I did.)
Hawaii Wed & Events prices were also much more reasonable than Parasol (another company I looked into but ended up not liking at all for many reasons) and their services were truly exceptional. I would highly recommend HW+E and our wedding planner, Wai, for anyone who is looking to have a flawless wedding in Hawaii.

Having Wai, of Hawaii Weddings and Events, was the best decision we made for our wedding. We honestly believe that our wedding would not have turned out as well as it did (actually better than what we imagined) if it were not for her hard work and dedication. Our wedding day was smooth sailing from beginning to end.
She looked over contracts like a hawk and made sure that all fees were well justified. Nothing was overlooked. She saved us a lot of money. She understood our needs and gave us the biggest and best bang for the buck. All of this and Wai was still very composed and professional.
If you are deciding between coordinators, save the time and money and just go with Wai. We had another coordinator which did not work out and went with Wai. We never looked back at the money we lost with that past contract. Having Wai was the best decision we made. Weddings are expensive. Having an excellent coordinator shouldn't be overlooked. It's the best enhancement and the greatest way to have all those different vendors work on the same page to make your day worth every penny.

Because we were planning this out of state, there was no second thought about contracting a wedding coordinator. I read reviews and did research and after several meetings, I chose Hawaii Weddings & Events. Originally Dianna was not available for our wedding date, but we were fortunate to have Wai. When she first called us to introduce herself, we clicked right away. We talked about my wedding ideas, her suggestions. I also asked about her work history, etc. She has good reference and experience. It went very well. She was professional, courteous, and very focused on making our wedding spectacular and stress-free for me. Over the course of our planning , she organized with all my vendors, detailed my must-do list, which is very important to me. I knew then I was in good hands. She is dedicated to her work and assured me constantly that everything is under control. I needed that since I'm very busy and selective. My then fiance, on the other hand, is a total perfectionist. He was impressed with Wai and got his approval. We could not have planned such a beautiful wedding without her. She surpassed our expectations. I highly recommend all brides to get a planner. You may think you got it under control, but it gets overwhelming as the big day nears. Also, it's hard being beautiful without sleep if you're worrying about planning.

Dianna and her assistant Suwaireeya went above and beyond for our wedding day. All the guests were pampered and well taken care of. We can not thank them enough. We enjoyed working with Dianna during the planning process. She is a good listener and will ask the right questions to guide you through the process.

Dianna was wonderful to work with, very professional, and EXTREMELY responsive. I was living in Philadelphia planning a wedding in Hawaii completely via email, and Dianna would have a response back to me in less than a day:) She made my wedding day stress free. I barely saw her, but I know she was working hard, because both my husband and I couldn't think of one single thing that went wrong, or would want to change. She is very sweet and easy to get along with. During the wedding planning, if I ever had doubts or questions, she would give her honest opinion and great suggestions! Thank you Dianna for everything. I will, with greatest pleasure, recommend her to anyone out there looking for a wedding coordinator. She was well worth the $$$!!

This was hands down the BEST decision we ever made. Dianna was a huge part of our wedding. She answered all of our questions and solved any problems that we had. She took our vision and made it the perfect dream wedding. She had a great rapport with all of the vendors. And most important she kept within our budget without sacrificing any of the details. Dianna is clearly very experienced and knows all the ins and outs of wedding coordination. When you have a question, she knows the answer or tries to find out. She knows what is common-place or more exceptional etc etc. She was excellent at organizing, following up, and coordinating all of the vendors. She has great attention to detail, and great organizational skills. She uses documents and emails to make sure that everything is clearly communicated between you, herself, and the vendors so that there are no misunderstandings. No details are forgotten. Overall, she is very worth paying for. Our wedding went off without a hitch, and Dianna had everything running smoothly. On the day of the event, she kept our wedding program on track, made sure we knew what was going on, while always being very "behind the scenes", courteous, tactful and professional.
I would recommend Dianna without hesitation. I more strongly recommend her "3 month planning" package over the "6 month planning" package as Dianna really pulls through with all the last bits of coordination and relieves a lot of stress for both you and your family!

Dianna was the BEST investment you made for our wedding. Dianna started to work with us over a year out before our wedding. She was super responsive and always got back to me very quickly through email. We didnt have any problems on the day of the wedding or at least we didn't know of any because she took care of everything.
Dianna helped us booked the majority of our vendors and everyone at the wedding could not stop talking about how great the food was during the whole trip. She also helped us save on our rentals and flowers. She worked so hard to make our special day picture perfect! I would have paid her three times her rate to have her again! She is worth every penny! I cant imagine how our wedding would have turned out if we had not had Dianna!
Her daughter also helped out as a babysitter for our 2 year old daughter during the wedding.
If you are in doubt about hiring a coordinator take it from a destination bride and book Dianna for your wedding!

Dianna took care of everything for me. I live overseas and she planned all the small details I didn't know about or forgot about. She made our wedding absolutely beautiful and unforgettable. She did not try to sell us any thing expensive and even worked harder to get us a better deal for things. She was worth every penny we paid and I highly recommend her expertise, professionalism and artistic sense at your own wedding!!!!
