Sunny makes the impossible possible, and pulls it all off with a smile and amazing energy! Building up to the day, she toured several venues with us explaining their pros and cons. She also had a wide selection of vendors to help us hone in on exactly the vision we wanted. She found us a bakery that could do a very niche flavor that we wanted (pandan and lilikoi!), vendors that could make the most beautiful flower arrangements for a great price, and a videographer.

All of that makes Sunny an amazing planner, but that hardly scratches the surface on how wonderful she was. On the morning of our big day, the large Kona Low storm came in and closed down our venue. What could have been a disaster turned into the most magical day. Within a handful of hours, Sunny planned a whole new wedding at a safer venue that turned into a perfect fit! Not only that, she worked with all of our vendors to safely get all staff and guests to and from the venue. A TRUE MIRACLE WORKER! She saved our day in so many ways and we couldn't be more happy we chose her to plan our wedding.

We got married at the Halekulani Hau Terrace in July and were grateful to have Sunny Cho as our wedding planner and coordinator. Sunny brought so much expertise to the table, especially since she had gotten married at the same venue herself—she knew all the tips and tricks to make everything run smoothly and beautifully. Planning a wedding remotely from out of state can be stressful, but Sunny made it so much easier. She gave us fantastic vendor recommendations. Sunny also had a collection of helpful items (like table number stands, card box holders, signage, etc.) that she let us borrow for the wedding, which saved us both time and money. As a day-of coordinator, Sunny was truly exceptional. She handled everything seamlessly, allowing me (as the bride) to fully relax and enjoy the day. Sunny’s professionalism, experience, and care made all the difference, and we recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!

Sunny is hands down, an amazing coordinator/planner! One of the biggest things I knew I needed for our wedding was a coordinator to help take the stresses off my plate and let my husband and I enjoy our big day. And Sunny delivered! She is highly organized, friendly, professional, and prompt. Hiring her was one of our best decisions made. Shout out to her lovely assistant (whom I did not have a chance to catch her name) as well!

Before the big day, Sunny helped create my timeline, kept me organized with planning spreadsheets, and was always readily available to reply to my emails. She also helped with our rehearsal and had back up plans in case it was going to rain during our wedding (thank the Lord, the sun shined bright on our big day!)

On the day of, Sunny made sure that I was stress free and handled any problems (if there were any). A lot of people told me before the wedding that I wasn't going to be able to eat because there will be so much going on, but not my case! Sunny made sure my husband and I was served our food and we ate our dinner in peace together. She was also so sweet enough to share some behind the scenes that she captured for us :') We give a million thank yous to Sunny for all that she has contributed to our wedding! Please do not hesitate to book her!

Sunny is the best decision I made for my destination wedding. Considering I’ve never been to Hawaii and decided to throw a wedding in less than 6 months, Sunny was the best person for that. She will keep you updated at all times and is good at making sure you’re within your budget. She even went out of her way to DIY some of my things which turned out so perfect. She has such a kind and sweet soul, she was exceptional on the day of our wedding. Although our wedding day had list of issues caused by the venue, she handled them so gracefully and professionally. I loved working with her each step of the way and appreciate the control she let me have as well. I’m a hands-on type of person that likes to know everything and she respected that.Sunny is extremely communicative, has quick responses, and feels like family. Overall, if you need a wedding planner that’s willing to go the extra mile for your special day. SHE’S THE PERSON.

If you’re struggling to decide who to choose as your wedding planner, stop thinking and go with Sunny because you will not regret it! Here’s the summary of my experience with Sunny:
- Here work is seamless and she’s so attentive. And I’m pretty sure she does more than she’s paid to do…. This, I heard even from someone she works with. When I was getting my makeup and hair done by a stylist, she actually told me Sunny is quite exceptional. She said most wedding planners don’t go to the extent Sunny does to take care of their clients and oftentimes clients can end up taking care of their wedding in so many ways. She told me Sunny truly goes above and beyond to make sure she does all the work so her clients don’t have to.
- She is so knowledgeable. It was my first wedding, but I did research on my own and thought I could potentially plan a wedding on my own. I was wrong! For those planing a wedding in Hawaii as a destination wedding especially, I personally wouldn’t recommend companies that offer packages because they don’t always include everything and you can also end up being asked to pay additional costs to add things if they’re not a part of the package. Or they might not even offer things you want… As Sunny told me, many hotels offer ceremony packages, and they’re fine, but they ask that you have a wedding coordinator.
- She knows great vendors, and this is so important!, Flowers, venues, food, hair and makeup, music, wedding officiant, photographers, and a videographer… They were all SO wonderful 💓 I know “wedding magic” and “Hawaii magic” exist, but thanks to Sunny who recommended them, I’ll never forget this day ☺️. When I read posts from other brides, I do read about many stories where something goes wrong, but in my case everything went as I wanted and planned, and the guests loved it all too!!
- She is speedy! I had my wedding in the summer when it is a peak wedding season, but she never falls behind. If you contact her, she gets back to you immediately and after she consults you about your vision and budget, she starts the process for you asap so you don’t need to keep waiting restlessly about what’s happening next or when the planner will get back to you.
- Bonus! She’s trilingual. So if you ever want a wedding planner who can communicate with your or your guests in Japanese or Korean besides English, yup, you found the one.

Where do I start..
I have known Sunny for 2 years because we had to postpone our wedding because I ended up pregnant! So not only did she help plan my wedding once, but TWICE! Sunny didn't have to, but she was there with us when we did our site visit because we were from out of town. She also had an enormous amount of vendors to pick from. She is VERY organized and detailed oriented. She was always available via phone calls, texts & emails. She will send you a spreadsheet to be filled out to ensure nothing is missed for your big day. She was more like big sister that I never had. Saying goodbye to her after 2 years of communication was for sure bittersweet. Hire Sunny, you will not regret it!

I initially chose Sunny because she was the most affordable. I married into a Tongan family and Tongan weddings are something else, you have to experience it to understand it. We ended up way off schedule with the program running behind due to cultural protocols and Sunny made executive decisions to make everything run smoothly. She was also always there to help me as the bride in the most perfect moments where I needed guidance (like how to cut the cake). I highly reccomend her.

There aren't enough great things to say about Sunny! She is incredibly thorough, organized, and easy to work with. She was so accommodating to our hectic schedules and made everything so easy to understand. I can tell you that planning with Sunny took away the stress as her calm and positive attitude guided us through everything from A-Z. Thank you Sunny and if we could do it all 20 times over again, we'd pick you every time.

When my husband and I got engaged, we decided that we wanted to get married in six months’ time and that we wanted to do it in Hawaii — a place that neither of us had been to before and had no plans of going to until our wedding week itself. And that’s when Sunny came in the picture.

I know that deciding who to entrust your wedding day to requires a leap of faith for any bride, but in my case, there was an added level of trust required since I was going to be completely virtual throughout the whole process. Whoever I chose was going to be my eyes, ears, and even mouth. I had communicated with a couple of other wedding coordinators before speaking with Sunny, but within only a few minutes into our conversation, I knew that she was indeed the “one and only.”

First and foremost, it was her warmth and positivity. That was important to me as that was the vibe that I wanted my wedding day to have. However, as time went on, I of course grew to appreciate other things about her, such as: her honesty, her practicality, her knowledge and expertise, her professionalism, the open line of communication we shared, and most importantly, her genuine kindness and care. For me, the latter in particular, is priceless.

I also want to mention that one of the reasons why I was first interested in Sunny was the fact that she speaks both English and Japanese fluently. She ended up being a great help to my Japanese in-laws, as she was able to assist and explain things to them on both our rehearsal and wedding days.

Thank you, Sunny, for making our wedding day one of the most beautiful and happiest days of our lives. If we could re-live our wedding day again, we would do so in a heartbeat, and we’d do it all over again with you.
