Ally b was a godsend!

I said, “Of course!” when my niece asked me to help plan and coordinate her destination wedding on the Big Island of Hawaii. I assumed it was going to be at a hotel. When she mentioned the Kona Salt Farm, I did an internet search and saw the beautiful photos, however, I did have a lot of reservations. Having to research and consider all the vendors that would have to be involved and communicating long distance would be challenging . . . as none of us were from Kona. Jen Hughes at the Salt Farm was very helpful and generous with her vendor information in all categories.

One of the best requirements of the Salt Farm, is to have a professional wedding coordinator be present on the day of the event. Ally B of Ally B Inspired responded promptly, and she was a perfect fit, i.e., sweet, patient, accommodating, knowledgeable, and a hard worker determined to ensure a perfect outcome. We were very happy when my niece and her fiancé selected Ally.

Ally was contracted to be the on-site coordinator on the day of the wedding. She and Annie executed everything perfectly and more. Leading up to the wedding date, we tried to adhere to the list of duties covered in the contract. She did and offered so much more. Instead of rescheduling, we Facetimed with her braiding her daughter’s hair in the car! Now, that’s dedication and commitment.

We had everything planned out as to who would do what throughout the evening, i.e., relocating furniture, humongous floral arrangements, situating the cake, the sparklers send off, etc.

TIP #1 – No matter how reliable and willing, not a good idea to rely on relatives/guests who are invested in being present during the ceremony and the festivities. By the time I thought of the timeline and things that needed to be done, Ally and Annie had taken care of them and so much more. She was truly a godsend.

TIP #2 – If you’re not from Kona, you won’t know all the ins and outs of what’s happening currently. Having a local “in-the-know” person was so helpful and a blessing. This was especially true when we tried contacting different vendors through information from their websites only to find out that due to personal issues, certain companies were not operating currently. Also, Ally was able to make great recommendations which were spot on.

TIP #3 – Contract Ally B from the get-go to coordinate your ENTIRE wedding. I did it for my niece. If we could do it over again, it’ll be Ally B Inspired all the way!

It was a dream wedding come true for the couple and an event of a lifetime for all of us. Ally B Inspired made sure of it.

Ally B is my Big Island wedding Fairy Godmother

Ally was so helpful as the Day-Of Coordinator at my wedding on the Big Island of Hawaii. She is a local, which means she knows everyone and that played a huge role in everyone working together well on the big day.
Our venue was a lesser known spot that required some understanding of how to set up the tables and chairs, how to manage the lighting and electricity, and we had to arrange all of our own vendors. I found Ally, and thank goodness she had already worked at events at our venue!!! She helped take those details off of my mind and allowed me to focus on other things. As for our vendors, although I had already found most of our vendors when I met Ally, she recommended a photo booth guy who turned out to be absolutely wonderful, AND she already knew most of the people that I had already booked for our wedding.
In the months leading up to the event, Ally was most helpful via text and email. During the month of our wedding she got every single vendor's contact info and confirmed their start times and jobs for the day, which I am super grateful for. During that month I was so scatter brained I could not have done those things as patiently and thoroughly as she did.
Before traveling to HI, I had all the amazon orders, and signs that I made, and little last minute bits shipped to her house on the big island, which she brought up to our venue on the big day. She also picked up our favors, alcohol order, and ice and brought all of those things up as well.

Last but not least, it was POURING on our wedding day exactly when our ceremony took place. This was not Plan A, but we had umbrellas on hand just in case, and Ally shifted everyone under our tents and the whole thing turned out so much cooler than I could have predicted. I know nobody wants rain on their wedding day, but I am so glad it rained on ours. The umbrellas were beautiful in photos, our guests got to be more intimate with us during the ceremony, and everyone had more fun!

I am telling you, I could not have done this day without Ally. She would be an asset to any event on the Big Island!

You Need Ally B!

As my husband & I were planning our 10th anniversary / vow renewal and it didn’t take long to realize we were going to need some help. There were so many details and intricacies in areas we didn’t know we needed to address. Although I covered most of the planning I still needed someone with the knowledge and expertise in order to bring our vision to life. So in need of support I searched online and found Ally Brown. During our first virtual meeting she helped me refine and polish the plans I had already made and she was familiar with most of my vendors. Ally is professional, responsive, meticulous and creative. She has years of experience, expertise and tools at her disposal so we hired her on the spot. I was able to have the wedding of my dreams in great part because Ally was able to pull all the fine pieces together. I highly recommend hiring her services if you’re in search of a wedding coordinator.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ally Brown for my wedding, and I cannot express how grateful I am for the incredible service and support provided. From the initial consultation to the last moments of our special day, Ally went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly.

One of the things that impressed me the most was Ally’s ability to understand our vision and bring it to life. She took the time to listen to our ideas, preferences, and priorities. The result was a wedding that perfectly reflected our style. The caterer she recommended was some of the best food we’ve ever had and the flowers could not have been more gorgeous! The decor, flowers, lighting, and overall ambiance were nothing short of breathtaking. It was the perfect island evening.

She’s truly AMAZING!

Ally is the best!

Ally was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was such a gift to us while trying to plan our wedding out of state. She was so flexible and easy to talk to. She always kept our best interest and really helped create our vision. She was very professional, reliable, and organized. She made our day truly magical. We can’t thank her enough! ♥️

Stellar Day-Of Coordinator

Ally was great as our day of coordinator. We went into the wedding day a little bit haphazardly, as I imagine many do, and Ally was on top of everything with help from her assistant. From finding tools to communicating with vendors to helping install decorations, she was helpful throughout the event and handled as many things as she could on her own allowing us to enjoy the wedding. When needed, she would come find us to quickly and concisely describe the situation that needed our attention. I would say our only regret is not having her help coordinate from the beginning.

She saw what i couldnt

Ally was able to identify the 'gray' areas of my visions. She was able to ask the right questions of my vendors and of me. She helped me re-align my ideas with what would work but allowed my creativity to flow.

Wedding planning

I found Ally on this website and based off the reviews, she seemed reliable and great! Our first initial conversation in February was good. Talked prices and vision. She found majority of my vendors too. But then things started to go downhill. From after I put down the deposit, she wasn’t too responsive as I’d like her to be. She did one site visit with me on Oahu but then after that I hardly ever heard from her unless I reached out. Then I had to wait days on end for a response. She was doing more work with her pageant than my wedding. But I thought “oh my wedding is kinda far out maybe she’ll be more responsive when it gets closer (December).” But then a month out, no response. Around thanksgiving time, I had to find out on Instagram that she was on a family vacation. She told me she had my file with her and would email and respond to vendors asap. That never happened. We made a phone call meeting on a Friday. So I had to call, no response, Saturday I called no response, Sunday I called no response. No text, email, nothing. And this was 2 weeks before my wedding date. We had absolutely NOTHING planned. No timeline, seat arrangements, layout of the venue, and she was the main contact person for all my vendors. I finally had to find someone else last min which I found someone amazing to take over! It wasn’t until Wednesday, a week before my wedding, she texted, not called, to tell me she was sick, lost her phone and voice. I mean don’t you have a team that could’ve reached out to me to lmk instead of leaving me in the dark? It says you’ve been doing this for 20 years, you would think? I guess not. I mean I get it people get sick, but the unresponsiveness and the lack there of wasn’t doing it for me. I put a deposit down for $250 and she never did offer it back to me so I just ate it. She made my pre wedding experience a nightmare full of worrying and anxiety which I never wish on anyone! Lucky me to have gotten a planner like Ally. My advice would be to read the reviews but even then all her reviews were good so I really don’t know what to advise.
