Hello! My name is Jake Moreland and I am the owner of Two Birds Photography. My style of photography is bright, joyful, natural and from the heart. I am energetic, confident, and easy going and I love to capture real, non-posed moments. Two Birds Photography is represented by the parakeet which is symbolic of affection, love, companionship and commitment. My favorite thing about photographing weddings is capturing all the joy and happiness that comes along with celebrating people in love. My basic full day wedding package includes 8 hours of photography coverage and a copy of the high resolution files with a print release. Hourly coverage for smaller events (7 hours or less) is also available. If you’re looking for something more unconventional I also offer fine art wedding photography all captured in black and white. I live in Downers Grove and I cover the metropolitan area of Chicago including Northwest Indiana and I'm always happy to travel!

I have 20+ years of experience and I love every moment of it. My journey as a photographer started in high school art class when I borrowed my sister’s film SLR and I shot a roll of really under exposed photos of an orange. Shortly thereafter, a friend of mine took a college dark room class and I was obsessed with the way their black and white photos looked. At that point, I was hooked and studied photography in college. The first couple of weddings I photographed were all shot with black and white film which I printed in the dark room. When I graduated college in 2005, I started photographing professionally for a studio until I created Two Birds Photography in 2008.
