There are so many details to keep track of when planning a wedding. In fact, I think that most brides would agree that planning a wedding can be a full time job! When we were planning, we went back and forth about whether or not to hire a day-of-coordinator. My fiance didn't think it was worth the expense, and to be honest, neither did I. HOWEVER, after talking with Ashley and looking at the list of the things she would be taking care of, I quickly changed my mind--there was no way we weren't going to hire a day-of-coordinator! Ashley was, in a word, phenomenal. She was on top of every detail from the décor and timeline, to planning for the possibility of rainy weather, to loading our gifts and belongings into our car at the end of the night. With Ashley in control, I knew that I didn't have to worry about anything and because of that, I was able to enjoy a stress-free day with my new husband! My biggest piece of advice for brides is to hire a day-of-coordinator, and make sure that it’s Ashley!

Ashley and her team at Agape Planning are amazing! 5 starts are simply not enough for Ashley. If you have not already contacted her to help you, then please do not hesitate working with her. I promise you that you will not regret it. She was one of the most important vendors that we hired for our big day. She went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding went smoothly and was our dream come true.

I could go on and on about her, but I'll share a few important examples: It rained for several days before our wedding that was scheduled to take place in the garden. I was so bummed by the weather. But thanks to Ashley, she immediately came up with several options for us should the rain continue. She had a great vision, and used her contacts with other vendors to help us select an alternative plan that my husband and I both loved and was within our budget. Fortunately, the rain stopped and our garden ceremony was perfect. Also, a few minutes before my husband and I were to make our grand entrance followed by our First Dance, we realized that my train was too long and was getting caught in my heel when we tried to dance. Ashley to the rescue---- she opened up her bag and found clips to hold my train up so that my husband and I could finish our waltz. Amazing!

Ashley was very tentative and helpful in helping us choose various vendors and making sure we had everything we needed on the day of the wedding. She is extremely organized and from day 1 took over in communicating with our vendors on everything we need including little things like the mic, slide show, candles, etc. She is always responsive (unless she is sleeping) and things 1 step ahead of us working and communicating with us possible options and changes.

Ashley from Agape is very upbeat energetic and is there when you need her! I highly recommend her!

We had our wedding at the Nixon Library and it was amazing. Almost 370 guests attended but it felt very intimate. Ashley Powell was a life saver. She took care of everything and did so in a courteous and professional manner. She really does know how special that day is for the bride and treated us like we were the only wedding of the year (even though we know how busy she is). She was always available to answer any of our questions. We rented several pieces from her at great rates. The wedding rehearsal, ceremony and reception all went according to plan thanks to Ashley's meticulous planning and leadership. She leaves no stone unturned. When our pastor wasn't able to perform the ceremony, she asked her person pastor for us and he stepped in. It really saved the day. This is just one example of how she goes (and went) above and beyond her contracted services. She's a great wedding planner and a great person. We were happy in every way. Thank you Ashley.

I honestly don't have enough words to say about Agape Planning. They literally saved our wedding. Not only are Ashley and Agape Planning such professional staff, my wife and I have become very close to them and found a really great group of friends. I will definitely be recommending Agape planning to any friends that plan on getting married. This coming form a guy that initially didn't think we needed a wedding planner. Agape stepped up when they were most needed during our wedding (we had a terrible experience with flowers) Agape stepped up found a new vendor in LESS THAN AN HOUR before the wedding. Needless to say the new vendor had AMAZING flowers and great service (what do you expect? It came from Agape's referral) Not only was Agape there in times of stress, but also to make sure things were running smooth, and always making EVERYONE including guest feel comfortable and enjoying our wedding!! Ashley was AMAZING! She executed every detail I had imagined. Even when we had an issue with a couple of our other vendors, Ashley handled it with such professionalism and saved our wedding day. I cannot recommend Ashley enough for her services. We were married at the Nixon library and she made sure everything was right on schedule and perfect. The main reason why I was not nervous on my wedding or days before was because I knew Ashley had everything under control. Everyone including myself was shocked by how calm I was. Ashley took care of all the details and I did not have to do anything or worry about anything the day of except enjoy my wedding day. She even made sure all our wedding gifts were loaded and ready to go after the party without anyone knowing!

Ashley Powell of Agape Planning is professional, organized, kind and creative.... not to mention that little bit of bossy necessary to keep everyone in line and get the job done! We hired Ashley as our Day of Coordinator and are so thankful we did. Not only did she run us through the rehearsal and make sure everything went perfectly on the big day, she was also accessible throughout the planning process and offered much appreciated insight and advice when needed. Let me start with saying that you NEED to hire Ashley. We weren't going to hire a coordinator at all. But my husband (yay!) and I live in New York, and with our wedding on the other side of the country, we decided it would be good to hire someone for the day of the wedding only. Ashley turned out to be much more than a day-of coordinator. Although that is technically what our contract stated, she helped us from day one (12 months away), suggesting venues, vendors, ideas, tips, etc. The thing about Ashley is that working with her is like working with a close friend. In fact, I'm sad the wedding is over because we don't get to be in such good communication. We always felt that she had everything under control. As it got closer to the wedding, Ashley took over, got all our information, filled in the spots we'd missed, and coordinated everything beautifully with all our vendors.

The day of the wedding, everything was absolutely seamless. No one in my family worried about a thing (and for a family of worry warts, that is a huge statement). Ashley took care of EVERYTHING, including things I didn't even ask her to do. Every detail was done before I even got there. Nothing went wrong. NOTHING. Down to the last detail, our entire day was perfect- from the timing to the transitions, to getting guests from one part of the venue to another, to my flip flops that magically showed up under my table at the reception, to our leftovers appearing in our car when we never even specified that we wanted them, nor told her which car was ours. When we greeted each guest and got stuck, she was our "evil eye" that helped us move on... we never would have gotten to talk to everyone without her timely, graceful pushing! And the most amazing thing about it is that no one even noticed she was there unless they needed her. When our photographers took us to an unknown area without telling her where we were going, she was waiting for us right as we got back as if she knew where we were the whole time. Finally, Ashley works so extremely well with the other vendors involved that everyone WANTED to make our wedding the best ever. And it was. Ashley, we couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for your patience with our thousands of emails, and for being so efficient without losing that beautiful smile of yours. XOXO!

Words can't even describe how amazing Ashley from Agape Planing is. From the moment my fiance and I first met Ashley, we instantly felt like we had known her forever, and could trust her with anything. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and was initially apprehensive about having a wedding planner handle the details of my wedding day. After my first meeting with Ashley all my apprehension had faded away. Choosing Ashley was one of the best decisions I made when planning our wedding. She is organized, has impeccable taste and pays great attention to the details. The week before my wedding was stress free & my actual wedding day was seamless (170 guests), largely in part to Ashley- even my bridesmaids (2 of which recently got married) commented about how on top of things Ashley & her staff were. Ashley at Agape Planning is amazing!! We hired her for our wedding at Richard Nixon Library in July. She was a huge help in making our wedding day so special. For those of you that do not think you need a wedding planner I would think twice!! She did so much for me before and at the wedding that took so much stress off me and my family. Before the wedding she contacts ALL your vendors and tells them exactly whats going on for the wedding day. SHe will send them a detailed timeline so you wont have to worry about a thing.
