I got engaged in October 2022 and planned a wedding for September 2023. I was encouraged to find a dress ASAP / by the end of 2022 so that it would arrive on time. I visited The White Dress for the first time on 12/4/22 after visiting one other bridal salon a couple of days prior. I actually thought I had found a dress I loved at the other salon but had already made the appointment for the same weekend at The White Dress and figured I should go... and thank goodness I did!!! The White Dress had a much larger selection in my budget than the previous salon I visited. My stylist took the time to understand what I liked/didn't like and we were able to nail down the vibe I was going for pretty easily. When I tried on the dress I ended up purchasing, I really did just know it was the one. Picked up my dress at The White Dress in June 2023, ~6 months after purchasing. I also purchased my veil from The White Dress. You can book an "accessory appointment" where you can try on the floor model of your dress with different veils which made the process so easy! Again, my stylist took the time to understand what I liked/didn't like and I ended up buying a veil that was part of a trunk show at the time. I had gone back and forth on whether I was going to buy a new veil or not so I didn't book my accessory appointment until August. I purchased a veil the same day as my appointment and it was ready for pickup just a few weeks later.

Melissa at Mon Amie was AMAZING! She helped me find my wedding dress last March, and it was such a special experience. By the time I came to Mon Amie, I already went to another bridal shop and got a good idea of what I liked and didn't like. Melissa did a great job narrowing down my taste and most importantly, asked me how I want to feel in my dress. Melissa brought me into the dressing room and delivered about 4-5 dresses to start, and the first one she chose was actually the dress I ended up choosing for my big day - she literally nailed it! Once I decided I loved the dress, Melissa and Megan (the manager) helped me make a few customizations to the dress order, and also worked their magic to make the dress a little more attainable for my budget. I knew it was meant to be! It took about 5 months for my dress to be made and delivered, and although I felt like it was cutting it a bit close to my wedding day, Melissa reassured me that in all of the years they've been in business, they have not missed a single wedding. They even had a showing appointment where I could come try the dress on before it goes to alterations with my veil, shoes, and jewelry! I thought it was a really nice offering as someone who was very eager to finally have my dress. The seamstresses that work in-house at Mon Amie were so amazing and did incredible work to make my dress fit like a glove. The one note however that I have, is that almost all of my bustle buttons unfortunately popped off by the end of my wedding night, but that could also be user error (my train wasn't exactly super light and I had lots of fun dancing). Regardless, I felt gorgeous in my dress and it felt like a perfect fit. Overall, I totally understand why so many people trust Mon Amie and I'm so happy I decided to make an appointment. Huge thank you to Melissa for helping me find the wedding dress of my dreams!

They do an amazing job of finding the perfect dress for you. I got my dress here and am so happy! They listen to everything you say and are very accommodating of budget! Highly recommend!

Main Point: Friar Tux is the best!!! Use them if you want excellent service and handsome looking groomsmen!!! Longer point: I had researched a few other places to rent/buy suits in our area, but kept circling back to Friar Tux. My husband had 3 groomsmen in our wedding who lived out of state, so we needed to use a company that could accommodate them. When we first went into the South Coast store it was so busy, but they got to us quickly and worked with us to find the aesthetic we were looking for. They were able to measure my husband right then and there, and place his order. Then, they created a plan for the groomsmen of exactly what they needed to rent and/or purchase so we could send that information to them. All the groomsmen had to do was send in their measurements and then pick up the order when they got to town. Our visit was efficient from start to end. (BTW I love the sign in/check out process). I also loved that I was able to add another shirt to the order because I was given the advice to have another shirt on hand in case the groom spilled, had an accident, etc. Friar Tux was so kind about it, and made sure we got it, even though I called them only two weeks before our wedding date. Overall, I love this place and would highly recommend to anyone. We are planning on returning in the New Year to purchase my husband his very first suit!  Additional tip: For any brides/grooms reading this review, grooms and groomsmen must return their rentals within 24 hours or there is a fee. Make sure you plan for someone else to return the grooms suit the day after the wedding, especially if you’re planning on going on a honeymoon right away. 

I recently purchased my beautiful wedding dress from Whirling Turban & highly recommend them to anyone looking for a couture, vintage-inspired dress. (Still looking for your version of Audrey Hepburn's tea length Funny Face dress? This is the store!) I never planned to buy my wedding dress online & I frankly found the idea a little scary. But, the team at Whirling Turban assuaged my concerns & delivered above & beyond what I expected. Their customer service was amazing. Kathryn was incredibly helpful both over phone & email. Even after I received my dress & our transaction was essentially complete, she gave me tons of insight on the types & brands of shape-wear & petticoats to wear with my specific dress. The dress itself is absolutely beautiful. The detailed craftsmanship is quite evident. Whirling Turban's dress designs are very flattering. I have a bit of a tummy & am not busty, but you'd never know it from the way that the dress accentuates my figure in all the right places. Kathryn's blog (which is how I initially found about about the store) is also a great resource for any bride looking to wear a tea length wedding dress.

I'm still feeling the A L O H A from Valerie and her beautiful hakus! I just got married last month. I wanted island vibes incorporated into our ceremony without going over the top. However, it did go over the top...the top of my head! And that of my daughter, maid of honor, and best woman. I have family on island, and initially arranged for my brother to bring back hakus for the ceremony. However, I nixed the plan as I wanted them as fresh as possible. He was arriving on a Friday for a Tuesday wedding (yes, I got married on a Tuesday). While scrolling through Instagram for inspo, I came across her profile @hakusandlove. As luck/the force/divine intervention would have it, she was based out of Newport Beach. I messaged her on IG, Valerie replied with her website link and email address, and off we went! Valerie included some of my favorites: red & pink gingers, plumerias, tuberose. My haku was absolutely divine - I felt like island royalty. Valerie was able to create distinct hakus for my maid of honor and best woman while still having mine stand out. Oh, and she DELIVERS! Much mahalos, Valerie, for sharing your aloha. I absolutely love the mini hair flower pins from Mikiye Creations! They are beautiful and very well made. Can't wait to wear them on my wedding day! Great communication from the shop owner as well, which is always a bonus :)

Plum pretty sugar makes high-quality bridesmaids robes your ladies will keep long after the wedding. I loved the softness and beauty of my bridal robe from there, as well. They all photographed well in pictures and came in pretty cloth pouches for storage.
