The Westin Charlotte
With 28 different event spaces to choose from, The Westin Charlotte is one of the few Charlotte wedding venues in Uptown that offers something for every type of couple in one location. The ballrooms at The Westin Charlotte are ideal for hosting large parties (the venue’s Grand Ballroom alone can hold up to 2,071 people), while smaller rooms create the perfect space for intimate gatherings. One space that we particularly love at this venue is Six One Five, a sleek banquet room that’s lined with windows overlooking an adjoining terrace and the Charlotte skyline.
This Charlotte wedding venue is a hotspot for some of the city's coolest events, including concerts, fashion shows, and Charlotte's weekly summer happy hour, Alive after Five. Located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte at Epicentre, Rooftop 210 puts you right in the middle of the action on the big day. Along with its unbeatable city views, the contemporary event space features flexible floor plans, landscaped terraces, dancing space, and a fully equipped sound stage. And while Rooftop 210 is one of our favorite outdoor wedding venues in Charlotte, NC, the venue also has various tents and lounge spaces that can be fully enclosed in the event of inclement weather. Lastly, the venue makes it super easy to cross things off your wedding checklist, since catering, bartending, and event coordination are all provided in-house.
If you’re having a smaller wedding, we highly suggest checking out the Dunhill Hotel on North Tryon Street. This historic Charlotte wedding venue in Uptown is perfect for hosting intimate and personalized gatherings for up to 70 people. Choose from four cozy event rooms at the Dunhill Hotel — our personal favorite is the parlor, which features a tray ceiling with exposed wood beams and ornate chandeliers. Couples who love vintage wedding style will fall in love with the hotel’s elegant guest rooms that are inspired by 1920s glamour (for a truly indulgent experience, reserve the penthouse suite, which features original marble floors, double balconies, and a separate living area).
Charlotte City Club
Situated 31 floors above Uptown Charlotte, the Charlotte City Club is an impressive, one-of-a-kind venue that is steeped in Southern tradition. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide city views to the east and mountain vistas to the west. Sophisticated details, including wainscoting, crystal chandeliers, and dark wood accents bring regal vibes to the venue’s two ballrooms. The Charlotte City Club also has a number of fantastic backdrops for your wedding photos, including a marble elevator, spiral staircase, and stately billiards room. Catering, event coordination, and basic decor rentals are provided in-house by the venue.
The NoDa Wedding Chapel
This historic church on the outskirts of Uptown gives you the best of both worlds: a central location in one of Charlotte’s trendiest areas, with more privacy and open space than you’d find in the heart of town. The NoDa Wedding Chapel hosts ceremonies and receptions for up to 150 people, with an outdoor event space (and parking!) located just outside of the church. The venue offers several budget-friendly rental options starting at $300 for two hours and capping out at $1,000 for an eight-hour rental.
The Morehead Inn
The Morehead Inn in Dilworth is another venue that is just a stone’s throw away from Uptown. This charming inn will feel like your home away from home on the big day, thanks to its inviting atmosphere and quintessential Southern comfort vibes. The venue’s landscaped courtyard is an exceptionally romantic setting for an outdoor ceremony or reception, but there are three indoor rooms that can accommodate up to 100 people. Hosting a lot of out-of-town guests? The Morehead Inn has 12 private rooms available for overnight stays, in addition to a four-bedroom carriage house.

220 North Tryon at Foundation for the Carolinas
Whether you want to host your wedding in a loft-style space, garden terrace, art gallery, or sunlit solarium, you’ll find it at 220 North Tryon. It’s one of the most versatile Charlotte wedding venues in Uptown — and one of the most philanthropic!
