Best hotel hands down!
From our journey early January through August the entire crew at Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel was nothing less than AMZAZING! Robert Hannigan - GM and his crew really know how to treat a Bride and Groom. Brianna Catering Manager, Christian and crew at Valet, Josh at the front desk, Demarko, Deborah, Kash, Andy, Tina, Hector and everyone who made our day so special. Dream wedding thanks to the Kimpton!
We had our wedding reception at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel on 8/17/19. Let me start by saying why I chose the Kimpton. I knew I wanted a hotel ballroom as our venue since so many of our friends and family members would be visiting from out of town. We looked at every hotel ballroom Uptown. The Kimpton has 2 ballrooms, a larger and a smaller one. Both are beautiful with so much gorgeous detail. The major perk for us was with having a smaller reception of 100 people, we were able to use the smaller ballroom and not have a large room with an ugly divider wall in the middle (yuck!). That, the location Uptown, and the coordinator Brianna were the major factors in us ultimately choosing the Kimpton. From Day 1 our experience was nothing but exceptional. Brianna was great with communication every step of the way, both by email and phone. She responded to my 1 million questions in a timely manner and was always willing to meet in person. She went above and beyond her role and made planning easier. Every time we would visit the Kimpton every single staff member was always so friendly and accommodating. We knew this was a place that our guests would feel welcomed and be taken care of. When it came down to the wedding itself, everything was wonderful. We had a dedicated staff member during the reception who's sole purpose was to make sure myself and the groom had everything we needed. After we walked around greeting our tables she came up to ask me if I wanted a fresh hot entree (wow!) The service was 5-star and we had tons of compliments on the food. At the end of the night, we walked into the bridal suite (which is a beautiful getting ready space overlooking Romare Bearden Park. It was also super convenient to take our couple portraits in the park.) to find a table full of all of our favorite foods and drinks. The icing on the cake? The Kimpton is DOG FRIENDLY! We were able to take photos in the suite with our fur baby before our reception, and they had even left a doggy bed and bowls in the room for us. Having our wedding at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel was one of the best decisions we made. We knew from the start this was the right venue for us. The first thing we noticed is the gorgeous interior, and the beautiful view of Romare Bearden Park. They had rooms to suit any size wedding and found the perfect match for us.
We couldn't have asked for a better staff. They tailored every detail to match our taste and were extremely flexible. There was constant communication, and we always knew what was coming up next in the planning process. They guided us through the entire process and even helped us find the right vendors.
We had the food catered through the hotel, and were blown away by their options and the custom dishes they made special for us. Even our pickiest guests raved about how good the food was!
Lastly, it was a great price - especially considering all the value provided. They even found ways to help us make the most of our investment, which we greatly appreciated.
