From our first conversation, Chef Alexander’s responsiveness set The Landing at Lake Norman apart\. He met me at the property that same evening, gave me a personal tour, and shared his vision for this beautiful lakeside venue\. He carefully listened to our daughter and her fiancé’s wedding vision, offered thoughtful ideas, and created a customized catering package, menu, and detailed quote that perfectly captured what they wanted\. His experience and attention to detail made the booking process easy and gave us complete confidence that nothing would be overlooked\. We love the natural beauty of the Lake Norman location and the elegant plans for the completed venue\. We are incredibly excited that our daughter and her fiancé will be among the first couples married at The Landing! Off to an impressive start!

If I could give Alexander Homestead more than five stars, I would gift-wrap them in gold and hand-deliver them back to the team. ⭐️ From the very first planning meeting to the last dance of the night, we felt genuinely cared for. As two busy working professionals, the structure and support from Wedgewood Weddings & Events made our planning process feel manageable and bite-sized instead of overwhelming. Every step was organized, clear, and thoughtful. It allowed us to actually enjoy being engaged instead of drowning in spreadsheets. Sarah, Virginia, and Savannah were phenomenal. Truly. They anticipated needs before we even voiced them, answered every question with patience, and made us feel like our wedding was the only one that mattered. On the day of, Savannah in particular took such intentional care of both me and Kevin. She checked in constantly, kept things flowing seamlessly, and made sure we were present instead of stressed. As chefs and hotel people, service is everything to us. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. The team followed our directions perfectly, respected our vision, and executed it beautifully. A moment that meant the world to us was watching the service staff go above and beyond to help my autistic nephew find something “safe” to eat during dinner. That kindness and awareness is not something you can train into people. It’s heart. We also loved the intentional use of small businesses throughout the process. You can feel that Alexander Homestead values community and craftsmanship, and that matters. Our day felt seamless, warm, and deeply cared for from start to finish. We walked away not just married, but genuinely grateful. If you’re considering this venue, stop looking. You’ve found it. 💛

I was the event coordinator for my friend's big day, and the owner, Stephanie was an absolute Godsend. She was there early the day of the wedding and helped me set up every little thing, even helping me make the sangria for the guests. She stayed throughout the wedding and only left when she knew we had everything under control. She was kind and funny, and I was so, so grateful for her. I couldn't have pulled it off without her! Not only her, but the venue and the cabins were AMAZING! I stayed on sight for the weekend and felt right at home, the lightning bugs at night gave me such calming nostalgia, and everything was so cozy and thoughtfully put together. I cannot recommend this venue enough!

As Mother of the Bride, I feel my experiences will be as much important as the bride's, so I want to express how absolutely fantastic it was working with Jessie and her team. She was energetic, knowledgeable, extraordinarily helpful and quickly responsive to any and all questions we had throughout the entire process. The grounds are gorgeous, the home on the property so convenient and cozy! Proximity to Asheville is great - not so remote, but remote enough to be peaceful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Twisty Maple as a wedding venue that combines nature and elegance to create the perfect wedding setting.

Our wedding at Wunderland was amazing! The property is nestled in a beautiful valley with plenty of space to spread out while also naturally creating an intimate container for our friends to connect. The ceremony space they've created is tucked up on a clearing in the woods and was perfect for our aesthetic and love of nature. We took advantage of their "Full Spirit Wedding" and spent the night in the beautiful Yogi Villa while friends and family spread out through their other awesome accomodations or camped under the stars. Shawn and Kate, and the whole Wunderland crew, helped us create a wedding many of our guests told us was "perfect in every way". Shawn officiated our ceremony with poise, calm and boundless good humor. Thanks you to Wunderland for helping us to create such a special, loved filled celebration!

I cannot express how HAPPY we are to have chosen Nantahala Weddings as our venue. As a young couple that has never planned a wedding before it can be very daunting. Jody and Jess made everything EASY and were very kind, helpful, and thorough. You can literally plan your entire wedding directly off of their website from vendors to guest lodging. Any questions our guests had we were able to simply refer them to the website every time. They have a perfect and well thought out solution to every possible situation you come across over the course of the event. And their price point relative to surrounding venues is unbeatable, especially for a multi night stay (which was so wonderful for our out-of-state guests to actually relax and not worry about travel for a few days and truly take in and enjoy the entirety of the event). Not to mention all the closely surrounding activities we were able to do with our families the days around the wedding day we were there. Boating, restaurants, hiking, kayaking, zip lining, rafting, scenic look outs, exc. They have 3 separate internet hook ups to keep service at all times on the property, but as soon as you see this place and are there with your family you wont feel like using you phone for anything but the camera. They have handicap accessibility in their FieTop Suite which made our grandparents stay a breeze. Also the FieTop’s large common area with a kitchen, indoor picnic style seating, large patio doors, and a patio overlooking a smoke free fire pit was an excellent way to have 3 separate hang out areas all close connected enough to allow everyone to be included and could choose where they were most comfortable without feeling they were far from everyone else. Come wedding day, the shuttle ride to the Chapel Site is extremely helpful and every guest came up with a smile on their face from the fun ride and the kindness of these ladies. We needed little to none of our own decorations because the ones they have there for you to use are so beautiful and so many options. The view of the lake is BREATH TAKING. At the ceremony site, there is a very wide, clear view of the lake, not just a sliver through some trees. And they have a separate area called the secret garden part way up with a table and chairs that all of our guests loved to have coffee at in the mornings and view the lake right near their cabins without having to go up to the ceremony site. There are multiple areas around the venue to set up different things and have plenty of room to set up different photo-ops, more private hang out areas, exc. We are both just sitting here making this review rambling more and more about everything that was so wonderful. As soon as you tour the venue and talk with Jess and Jody, their venue is the OBVIOUS choice. We wouldn’t have wanted to have our special day anywhere else. If we could give 10 stars we would and would do it all over again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We chose this venue for our recent wedding and I cannot say enough about how beautiful and charming this park is. Hidden away, you would never know it's even at the park. Would definitely recommend for anyone.

I consider myself SO lucky that we were able to book this venue- the grounds are absolutely beautiful. The trees, the rose bushes, the lights, and everything about this space is perfect for an outdoor wedding. The staff and venue coordinator Kelvin were so WONDERFUL to work with- truly could not have asked for anything better. I can't wait to come back and visit this space on our anniversary!

From the moment I found River North NC, I completely fell in love. I just knew it had to be my wedding venue. The property is absolutely stunning and pictures truly do not do it justice. Since it was a destination wedding for me, the fact that I was able to house all of my wedding party & helping hands was a huge plus for me. The owners were such a delight to work with every step of the way. This property truly made my dream wedding come true!
