Welcome to our page! I'm absolutely delighted that you've discovered Nantahala Weddings. As the owner, I sincerely hope you'll find the same sense of enchantment in our venue and its natural surroundings that I do. Although my professional background lies in Global Software Marketing, I've found that nothing brings me happier than collaborating with joyful couples like yourselves to make certain your day is absolutely magical. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you in person for a tour someday!
Hello from Lake Nantahala! My name is Jess Hafey Kawamura and my 2014 wedding was the first Nantahala Wedding in the books! The rest is turning into a lovely (full circle) history and epic love story of family and friends who cherish the mountains.
I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2012 and spent 11 years on active-duty onboard ships and as a Foreign Area Officer all over the world. Starting in Fall of 2023, I will transition into the Reserve Component in support of Pacific Fleet Forces while simultaneously working with Jody, my Mom and Nantahala Weddings owner, with all-things Nantahala Weddings and Events venue operations.
Allow me to take this space to share my wedding philosophy: Surrounded by Nantahala Lake and Forest, our outdoor wedding venue grants you access to a seemingly enchanted space – one that evokes raw emotions and intense love. Nature in Nantahala seeps into your being and opens channels for the bride and groom to sense the immense amount of love from their family, bridal party and guest. Everything else seems to melt away, and what is left is an intimate moment in time that no one present will forget.
