  Highly recommend

  I recently had my wedding at the Kimpton Hotel in Charlotte, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect.
  
  The venue itself is stunning, with modern decor and a chic atmosphere that created the ideal backdrop for our special day. The ceremony space was beautifully set up, and the reception area had plenty of room for dancing and celebrating with our loved ones.
  
  The catering was exceptional; the food was delicious, and the presentation was top-notch. Many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the meal!
  
  What truly stood out was the level of service, particularly from our coordinator, Kimyatta Evans. She was organized, professional, and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly throughout the day.
  
  Overall, I highly recommend the Kimpton Hotel in Charlotte as a wedding venue. It’s the perfect blend of elegance and warmth, making it an unforgettable place to celebrate such a special occasion!

  Simply the best

  We hosted our wedding reception at Kimpton Tryon Park in August. Words cannot express our sincere appreciation for the sales & banquets team – what a rock star crew. Hector, Maria, Maribel – everyone was so wonderful. The food was SOOOOOOO fabulous. We received compliments all night about how wonderful the food was. The banquets team made the evening so seamless, along with the morning after brunch. Lauren, our Catering Manager, was such a delight to work with – she is a true hospitality professional – we are so happy to have worked with her on the event.

  Microwedding Packages Are A Dream

  We worked with Trina at the Kimpton for our 30 guest micro wedding, and it was phenomenal. We were able to have some of the best food, drinks, and desserts the city could offer at a price that was beyond reasonable. We chose to pay extra to reserve the rooftop at Merchant & Trade and it was absolutely worth every penny. The venue was cozy and the decor allowed for us to add our own touches without having to go overboard paying to create an ambiance. We were a little hesitant about the all-inclusive packages because we didn't want to lock ourselves in with any sub-par vendors, but Kimpton took care of all of that. The food was honestly some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding. We worked with Celestial Cakery through our package, one of the most creative wedding cakeries in the city. Trina was extremely accommodating and quick to respond to any of our inquiries. On the day, the staff was so sweet and personable - one even offered to grab me a pair of shoes during the reception when she noticed my feet were hurting! The day was a dream and went so smoothly and I cannot thank Trina and the Kimpton team enough!

  Fantastic experience

  We absolutely loved our wedding at Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel. We were one of the victims of covid for out Oct 2020 wedding and ending up moving it to April. The venue made it easy as possible and worked with and waited patiently on us as we decided to cancel and then reschedule. The space is absolutely gorgeous and the staff was very warm and accommodating. They were on top of the rapidly changing protocols and very responsive to any questions we had.
  
  We had both our ceremony and reception there. Everything went off without a hitch and our guest enjoyed it a lot. The place is naturally beautiful so you don't have to do much decorating above and beyond. They have plenty of extras and decorations to provide as well.
  
  I know you are probably wondering what's wrong as we did when searching but honestly everything is very well oiled and spelled out ahead of time, but I'll try. The valet is kind of a buzz kill... It's normally $35 but on your wedding day it's $17 which is a discount but still a lot to ask your guest to spend. I'd recommend telling them to find street parking. We tried to do a night cap at Merchant and Trade but they were only allowing 12 guest including us which kinda sucks but that could just be covid related.
  
  Pluses, are definitely the food... Best wedding food ever. Get the Asian noodle station and the chicken and waffles, you'll guest will love you. The flow from place to place in the hotel worked well and clean up was a breeze.

  Kimpton Tryon Park/ Merchant and Trade

  We worked with Trina Gomez at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel in Charlotte to have our wedding on their rooftop bar, Merchant and Trade. Throughout all the planning and meeting, everything was great. The day went very smoothly and we felt very taken care of! We would 100% recommend anyone to look at the Kimpton, the service was spectacular!!

  Magical wedding at the Kimpton

  Trina and her team are sensational! They made us feel like royalty during the planning stage and during the event itself! The ballrooms are gorgeous and the food incredible. Every single detail appeared effortless on their part. It was the Land of Yes, accommodating every single one of our requests. There wasn’t one hiccup. They created a memory of a lifetime, for which we will always be grateful. The Kimpton is definitely where you want to plan your next important event. I can’t imagine more gracious and elegant hospitality. Thank you Trina! We love you!!!!

  Best hotel hands down!

  From our journey early January through August the entire crew at Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel was nothing less than AMZAZING! Robert Hannigan - GM and his crew really know how to treat a Bride and Groom. Brianna Catering Manager, Christian and crew at Valet, Josh at the front desk, Demarko, Deborah, Kash, Andy, Tina, Hector and everyone who made our day so special. They all made sure my family, friends and I had everything we wanted, and needed. The whole crew executed everything beautiful and seamlessly.

  Dream wedding thanks to the Kimpton!

  We had our wedding reception at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel on 8/17/19. Let me start by saying why I chose the Kimpton. I knew I wanted a hotel ballroom as our venue since so many of our friends and family members would be visiting from out of town. We looked at every hotel ballroom Uptown. The Kimpton has 2 ballrooms, a larger and a smaller one. Both are beautiful with so much gorgeous detail. The major perk for us was with having a smaller reception of 100 people, we were able to use the smaller ballroom and not have a large room with an ugly divider wall in the middle (yuck!). That, the location Uptown, and the coordinator Brianna were the major factors in us ultimately choosing the Kimpton. From Day 1 our experience was nothing but exceptional. Brianna was great with communication every step of the way, both by email and phone. She responded to my 1 million questions in a timely manner and was always willing to meet in person. She went above and beyond her role and made planning easier. Every time we would visit the Kimpton every single staff member was always so friendly and accommodating. We knew this was a place that our guests would feel welcomed and be taken care of. When it came down to the wedding itself, everything was wonderful. We had a dedicated staff member during the reception who's sole purpose was to make sure myself and the groom had everything we needed. After we walked around greeting our tables she came up to ask me if I wanted a fresh hot entree (wow!) The service was 5-star and we had tons of compliments on the food. At the end of the night, we walked into the bridal suite (which is a beautiful getting ready space overlooking Romare Bearden Park. It was also super convenient to take our couple portraits in the park.) to find a table full of all of our favorite foods and drinks. The icing on the cake? The Kimpton is DOG FRIENDLY! We were able to take photos in the suite with our fur baby before our reception, and they had even left a doggy bed and bowls in the room for us. I would 110% recommend the Kimpton for your big day.

  So glad we chose Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel!

  Having our wedding at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel was one of the best decisions we made. We knew from the start this was the right venue for us. The first thing we noticed is the gorgeous interior, and the beautiful view of Romare Bearden Park. They had rooms to suit any size wedding and found the perfect match for us.
  
  We couldn't have asked for a better staff. They tailored every detail to match our taste and were extremely flexible. There was constant communication, and we always knew what was coming up next in the planning process. They guided us through the entire process and even helped us find the right vendors.
  
  We had the food catered through the hotel, and were blown away by their options and the custom dishes they made special for us. Even our pickiest guests raved about how good the food was!
  
  Lastly, it was a great price - especially considering all the value provided. They even found ways to help us make the most of our investment, which we greatly appreciated. The whole process was very transparent, and I really felt like they truly wanted the best for us. We couldn't be happier!

  Unique, Yet Traditional!

  We held our ceremony and celebration at the spectacular Merchant & Trade atop the Kimpton Tryon Park. Our experience with planning and hosting was made simple by the outstanding Kimpton team. Every detail was perfect - even the weather on January 5th was 65 and sunny! Our 30 guests (all family) absolutely loved the venue (bright, inviting, and so cool), the fare (presentment was gorgeous and food delicious, bar was lovely and warmly tended), and the celebration (elegant and traditional, yet personalized and unique). No other smaller venue in Charlotte compares to the Merchant & Trade option!

  Kimpton was perfection

  Everyone we worked with at the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel was amazing. They made the entire process organized and exactly what we wanted and MORE!   Fall Wedding at The Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel

  My (now) Husband and I got married in early November 2018. From START to FINISH - The Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel was impressive. Brianna is truly incredible at what she does. While she worked out the 'kinks' of opening a brand new hotel - she took the time to make sure that we had the answers we needed and that we felt comfortable when making decisions. Brianna took the time to make sure EVERY need and request we had was detailed and her whole team was made aware. We had a pretty large room block of guest rooms -- I still have guests telling me about their OWN personal experience with the hotel staff. From the Valet to the Front Desk Team to Housekeeping and all of the food and beverage teams - which made their stays much more memorable. Our wedding reception was around 185 guests for a plated dinner- Brianna worked creatively with my own wedding planner and vendors to make sure the guests were comfortable and the event was a TOTAL SUCCESS. The Chef took his time to custom our menu tasting and listened to all of our feedback. He had his personal touches on how the menu was created and we so appreciated his recommendations! The food was incredible (and so were the drinks)! I used the Presidential as the ladies dressing room. It was comfortable and perfect for such a large group - we also used the space as somewhat of a hospitality throughout the weekend. What a view!
  I work for a Luxury Hotel and actually plan weddings professionally - I really didn't know what to expect when going to a different property but I must say - THE. KIMPTON. DID. NOT. DISSAPPOINT. I will never be able to thank the team enough for all they did to make our special weekend so wonderful. (HUGE PROPS to Brianna Dorr).

Our wedding reception was around 185 guests for a plated dinner- Brianna worked creatively with my own wedding planner and vendors to make sure the guests were comfortable and the event was a TOTAL SUCCESS. The Chef took his time to custom our menu tasting and listened to all of our feedback. He had his personal touches on how the menu was created and we so appreciated his recommendations! The food was incredible (and so were the drinks)! I used the Presidential as the ladies dressing room. It was comfortable and perfect for such a large group - we also used the space as somewhat of a hospitality throughout the weekend. What a view!
  I work for a Luxury Hotel and actually plan weddings professionally - I really didn't know what to expect when going to a different property but I must say - THE. KIMPTON. DID. NOT. DISSAPPOINT. I will never be able to thank the team enough for all they did to make our special weekend so wonderful. (HUGE PROPS to Brianna Dorr).

  We had our wedding at The Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel on 5/27/2018 and it was incredible. Brianna, Hector, and the rest of the Management Team went above and beyond to make our dream a reality. The service was impeccable and the attention we were given throughout the process was unbelievable. Every crevice of the hotel is visually stunning and the staff, from the bellman to Management made us feel like royalty. The hotel, along with Angelines, and Merchant & Trade made for an unforgettable weekend for us and our guests. Throughout the Reception, many of our guests were running up to us raving about the food (Many saying some of the dishes were the bets they've ever had). When first meeting Brianna, she mentioned that great food was something that Kimpton Hotels were known for and she wasn't lying. The entire hotel was involved in making the wedding as incredible as it was, and I cannot thank them enough for the best weekend of my life. Brianna is an absolutely star and will personally make sure that your wedding is everything you could've ever dreamed of and MORE.   First and foremost, The Kimpton and its entire team are absolutely AMAZING! We had our both our cocktail hour and reception at The Kimpton, and the whole evening could not have been more perfect. We worked very closely with many members of the team at The Kimpton for several months leading up to the wedding, and were blown away by the quality of service every step of the way. Brianna is absolutely incredible; she worked so hard to make sure every single detail was perfect for our big day. The reception space is gorgeous, and the food is beyond delicious -- trust us! Several of our friends and family stayed at The Kimpton throughout the wedding weekend, and we received so many compliments regarding the kindness of everyone who worked there, as well as the beauty of the hotel itself! The Kimpton is right in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, so the views from the guest rooms and the rooftop bar cannot be beat. We were treated with kindness and respect every single time we stepped through the doors, and it was apparent to us that the team there genuinely wanted to make our day the most special one of our lives. We would not have changed a single thing about our experience at The Kimpton. From the wedding planning process all the way to the big night, Brianna and her amazing squad went above and beyond to make all of our dreams come true.   We had a great experience during the planning process and the wedding day. The venue is absolutely beautiful and elegant. The food taste amazing and well presented. The bar is excellent. Trina, the chef, and the entire team at Kimpton are professional and made us as well as our guests feel special. We highly recommend!! Totally worth every penny!!!
