Our overall experience with Shadow Creek as our wedding venue was truly magical. While the initial visit and question-and-answer process felt fairly standard—much like any other venue tour—you can rest easy knowing that Lori and her team will deliver on their promises. We also worked with Jill, their primary planner. Jill became our main point of contact throughout the year leading up to our wedding. Jill was nothing short of exceptional. She was incredibly supportive of our vision, stepped in with guidance whenever we needed direction, and was extremely accommodating with all the small details and changes along the way leading to us walking out to the big moment. She was always responsive and proactive, checking in whenever we had questions. Even our guests noticed her dedication as she ensured the timeline ran smoothly while also making sure we, as the bride and groom, were well taken care of. During the 30-day walkthrough and on the wedding day itself, Jimmy from Shadow Creek had been very helpful as well. His friendliness and hospitality were evident throughout the day. When an unexpected issue arose with our caterer’s (Rangoli) bartenders needing to leave early, Jimmy stepped in without hesitation and began bartending alongside my dad. The situation went completely unnoticed by our guests and even became a fun memory for my friends and family to see my dad bartend with "that cool guy Jimmy". We rated flexibility a 4 out of 5, only because we were unable to choose a caterer outside of Shadow Creek’s approved vendor list. If we could give a 4.5, we absolutely would. Early in the planning process, we had hoped to work with a caterer familiar to our family and known for exceptional service, but ultimately, as we had agreed on the contract, we selected from the venue’s approved options. Aside from catering, we want to echo what our guests have consistently shared since the wedding: the venue was beautiful inside and out, and the staff was attentive, helpful, and always available. We also wanted to make sure to point out that our celebration ran nearly 30 minutes over our allotted time—this alone made us wish we could give Shadow Creek that extra half-star. In summary, while we initially had the same concern most couples do—“Will they be as great on the wedding day as they were during the tour?”—Shadow Creek exceeded our expectations. Lori, Jimmy, Jill, and the entire team came together to create the most memorable day of our lives. We would definitely recommend Shadow Creek to any couple looking for a venue with beautiful views and great hospitality to celebrate their special day.

Still Meadow helped us fulfill the fall wedding of our dreams! We were able to have the most beautiful Virginia countryside vista as the backdrop to our ceremony (with the added bonus of Gus the horse in the stall right next to us!) Everything about the reception space inside the barn was well-designed, from the lighting to the outdoor cocktail hour and catering space. Having the guest house next door available over the weekend made it much easier for the bridal party (and us) to go to and from the venue on the wedding day. Lori and Leah were a pleasure to work with and completely invested in having our wedding go off without any issues. We trusted their recommended vendors and were pleased with all of them. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Tranquility Farm Luxury Events truly made our wedding day unforgettable. The picturesque grounds provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, while the rustic charm of the barn set the stage for an enchanting reception. The bride's family appreciated the elegance and convenience of the manor house for their pre-wedding preparations. What truly sets Tranquility Farm apart is the generosity and flexibility of the owners. Despite our last-minute change in venue due to unforeseen circumstances at our initial location, Otium Cellars, they offered us this stunning venue at a discount. Their kindness and understanding turned what could have been a stressful situation into a blessing in disguise. From the lush greenery to the picturesque courtyard to the cozy barn ambiance, Tranquility Farm Luxury Events provided us with a magical setting for our special day. Our guests were particularly thrilled by the galloping pair of horses who added some flair to our ceremony. We are incredibly grateful for their hospitality and highly recommend them to any couple seeking a beautiful and accommodating wedding venue.

Sylvanside Farm was our first and only venue visit for our daughter’s wedding. The beautiful grounds and historical buildings on the farm made it an easy decision for us all. The owners, Terri and Jeff, have restored their property with utmost respect to its historical charm. Having on site lodging allowed both families to spend quality time together and hosting the rehearsal dinner on site made for an all around relaxing weekend. The curated list of preferred vendors, which Sylvanside provides, was very helpful and each vendor that we selected from their list was top notch. Terri and Jeff were very accommodating and responsive throughout the planning process and I highly recommend their venue for your special day.

Homestead 1870 was absolutely perfect for my wedding. It was the first place we toured for our wedding, and even covered in snow and ice, I was already ready to say yes to it without even looking at other places. The property is stunningly beautiful! Chris, the owner, was so amazingly accommodating with everything. The BnB is so cute. The bridesmaids and I stayed there the night before and my husband and I stayed the night of the wedding. Chris made sure we all were happy and comfortable. He also took amazing pictures and one of them is may favorite and is hanging on my wall. I cannot express enough thank to Chris for all he did. I would recommend Homestead 1870 to everyone whether its just for the weekend away or for a wedding! I could not have pictured my wedding any where else. The long horn cattle, the chickens, and the turkeys gave the perfect country/rustic feel. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT HOMESTEAD 1870!!!
