Facilities and Capacity
With a stunning barn space available and several outdoor event spaces ready for charming ceremonies under the sun, Shadow Creek has a maximum capacity for up to 300 guests. The venue’s large barn space is bright and airy with its elevated exposed beam ceiling and many windows. Attached to the barn is a covered patio that can be transformed into a ceremony space for rainy days or simply for a little shade. The venue also features two private dressing suites so that you and your wedding party have a comfortable and relaxing space to prepare for your big day.

When you book Shadow Creek for your wedding, you receive exclusive use of the property so you won't have to worry about sharing any of the event spaces with other parties. Gorgeous wedding venue in the Northern Virginia countryside
Lori, the venue manager, was incredibly responsive and super helpful as we planned our wedding. Something we loved immediately about Shadow Creek is that it is purely a venue location that gave us room to select rentals and decorate the space to our desire, which was exactly what we were looking for! So it was incredibly helpful when Lori recommended vendors local to the area to help bring our vision to life.
The venue also has more than two options for a rain plan, which was something we had to consider knowing our wedding was during hurricane season. But thankfully, the weather cooperated beautifully and we were able to enjoy some fantastic sunset photos!
Shadow Creek also has associated rental properties close by, which served as the perfect getting-ready space for the bridal party. It was so convenient to have everything so central. Plus, the separate bridal and groom suites at Shadow Creek were the perfect places for the wedding party to change before the first look.
Overall, we were over the moon with our experience at the venue. The entire staff was so welcoming and truly made it the best day ever.

Shadow Creek: Perfect Blend of Charm, Hospitality, and Thoughtfulness.
We also highly recommend having Gus (the horse) as part of the wedding! It was a blast to see the reactions of our guests and to look back on all the pictures that everyone took with Gus. To this day, all of our guests talk about how fun of a surprise it was to have a horse that people can interact with at the wedding.

Shadow Creek is also so beautiful! I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else. Gus is also a huge hit! We highly recommend having him at your wedding.
