I recently had the honor of hosting my son’s traditional Indian wedding at Riverside on the Potomac, and I could not be more grateful for the exceptional service and experience provided. From the first meeting with the team to the very last moment of the reception, every detail was handled with the highest level of professionalism, care, and dedication. The venue itself offered an elegant and welcoming atmosphere that made the perfect backdrop for such a special occasion. This venue is a family owned business, and Suzi and her team were warm, accomdating, and a true pleasure to work with. They stayed in costant contact with the wedding party all day and were always quick to lend a hand to anyone they observed may need it, guests and other vendors alike. They were a huge part of making the weekend a great success. The grounds and facilities were well kept and very clean. Many of the guests commented on how beautiful the setting was and how smoothly everything was managed. The outdoor ceremony site featuring a stone patio and pond was truly beautiful and large enough to accommodate 200+ guests and a traditional Mandap for the inter-denominational ceremony. The beautiful barn for sangeet/mehendi and next day for reception was lit with lanterns and stringed bulb lighting, which worked perfectly with our planned decor. The venue rental includes 20+ round tables and 200+ chairs that can be used for the ceremony and reception as well as several other furnishings. This venue also allows you full vendor flexibility, which was invaluable when planning our prefect Indian / Carribean event. As a parent, it brought me great joy and comfort to know that my son and his bride could fully enjoy their wedding day without any concerns. The team at Riverside on the Potomac created an environment where every moment felt effortless, meaningful, and memorable. On behalf of our families, I extend my sincere thanks to the entire team at Riverside on the Potomac for helping us celebrate this milestone with such grace and excellence. We will always look back on this day with gratitude and happiness, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Riverside on the Potomac to any family seeking the perfect wedding venue. The Barn At Willow Brook is the most perfectly, wonderful, gorgeous wedding venue with such stunning beauty inside and out! The owners, Betsy & Daryl, are incredibly warm, friendly, kind and caring and we fell in love with this venue as soon as we entered the barn doors the first time. After visiting many other venue options in the NoVa area prior to this barn, when we entered Willow Brook, we ended our search. We knew it was the one and instantly felt the “wedding vibes”. The barn is so gorgeous as is. They have beautiful chandeliers, sparkly twinkle lights, a greenery photo wall, bar cart, wine barrels, chiavari chairs & white foldable chairs, signage, and greenery garland that is already hanging places, which means we didn’t have to bring any of that in! We didn’t feel like we needed to dress the barn up much more because it was already so beautiful by itself. We did want a cross for our ceremony, and they brought in a beautiful wooden cross for us from Reston Bible Church, free of charge and free delivery/setup. This meant so much to us! We also brought our own mistletoe, Christmas trees, and winter wreaths to hang on the barn doors. The bridal suite and grooms quarters were unbelievable and so spacious!! Like nothing we saw at any other venue! My groom was so happy that he too, had a fun place to hang out, play shuffleboard, eat, drink etc. and us ladies had so much fun in our adorable suite! We got married in January, so our whole wedding was indoors, but we did have the outdoor fire pit on for guests and they enjoyed that. We did cocktail hour upstairs on the indoor balcony while our caterer flipped the space downstairs for the reception and it worked out really well! Seamless. We absolutely adored Betsy! She had the most speedy responses any time we reached out to her, which we greatly appreciated. The barn had amazing vendor recommendations as well. Betsy & Daryl went above and beyond and were so detail oriented. Even asking me what kind of coffee creamers I wanted in the bridal suite the morning-of. We received countless compliments on just how beautiful the venue was from our guests. People seemed just stunned. They truly created a story-book fairytale wedding for us and we are so grateful we found The Barn At Willow Brook! It was the perfect day and we wish we could experience it again and again!

Working with Barb and Ernie to plan our wedding was an absolute delight from start to finish. From our initial tour all the way through our wedding day they made us feel like family - answering every question we had, helping to accommodate our needs and recommending ways to ensure our day was smooth and seamless. They have cultivated the premiere vendor list for vendors in the area, which made planning our wedding in six months not only possible, but simple. We knew every vendor on their list had been vetted, knew the property and would blend right in with our vision. I cannot state it more clearly, the Oak Barn is STUNNING. Barb & Ernie's property is everything I ever wished for for our wedding day and more. Upon our first visit, Ernie took care to tell me where the sun would set and which trees would have colorful leaves on the date of our wedding. The property is massive, with plenty of photo options to capture whatever nature feel you're going for - whether the tall trees lining their driveway, the grassy field behind their ceremony site, or manicured lawns for family photos. We had our wedding at Halcyon Watson this past weekend, and we are still in awe of how perfect everything was. From the moment we first toured the venue, we knew it was the one – and it somehow managed to exceed our already high expectations. The property itself is absolutely stunning – elegant, serene, and beautifully maintained. Whether it was the lush gardens, the charming architecture, or the breathtaking indoor spaces, every corner felt thoughtfully designed and picture-perfect. Our guests could not stop raving about how gorgeous and unique the venue was. But what truly sets Halcyon Watson apart is the team. From start to finish, they were organized, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day seamless and special. Every detail was handled with care, and we always felt supported and at ease. The staff was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The venue gave us the perfect backdrop to create memories we’ll cherish forever. It was romantic, relaxed, and timeless – exactly the atmosphere we hoped for. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that is both effortlessly elegant and expertly run, Halcyon Watson is it. My husband and I got married outdoors at Murray Hill, overlooking the Potomac River. It was the perfect, most peaceful setting for our intimate wedding. The rustic scenery and barn gave just the look we wanted for our photos. Peggy is amazing to work with, and has such a gift for bringing a vision to life. We couldn’t recommend her and Murray Hill more.

We spent months researching barn/farm venues in Virginia, and there were clear differences between the commercial barn venues (fake) and the true country barn venues. Faith Like a Mustard Seed Farm (FLAMS) fell into our laps when we were searching the historical area and farmlands of Leesburg. Bonus #1: it’s an active farm with variety of animals that you can interact with and take pictures with! Not only do they advertise a classic red barn, there is a separate cocktail building with a backroom for the groomsmen, a cute cottage for the bridal party, and a pond down the hill with big willow tree that’s the perfect secluded spot for the first look! Bonus #2: FLAMS owners Patricia and Karl are two of the most kind-hearted, hard-working, and genuine people we’ve ever met! From the moment we first drove down the gravel road and Patricia was waving in excitement for us, we felt so welcome! During our walkthrough of the venue, seeing all the beautiful ceremony and reception options, we got to meet some of the farm animals and hear about the success story of their dream venture and where the name came from. It couldn’t have been a more meaningful story and we felt as if it was meant to be! We booked the venue months in advance for a June 2025 wedding, placed a deposit and signed the contract - which was simple and less than 10 pages. We found out we were pregnant in November 2024, and quickly called Patricia to discuss options. They were open to moving the date one time (which is outlined in their contract) as long as the date was open, so we moved it up to April 2025. They were genuinely excited for us and reassured us it would be the perfect day at the perfect time of the season. We wanted to do things a little untraditional and simplify things to make it easier on me considering I would be six months pregnant by then. We planned for a pre-wedding cocktail hour with drinks and some of our favorite snacks, (bonus #3: they setup a photoshoot for the guests with the mini horses!) We were able to pull off a pre-staged setup in the barn for the ceremony, dinner, and big reception, all without having to do any major rearrangements in between. We had an open bar the entire time, dinner buffet, DJ was setup on a stage in the corner, perfect display for our wedding cake, (bonus #4: Karl is a licensed officiant so we were blessed to have him marry us) and the whole plan was wonderfully executed by all. Even with the crazy weather (rain on and off all morning, and wild winds that shook the barn in even the quietest moments) Patricia and Karl did everything in their power to make our day smooth sailing and flawless. If something didn’t go as planned, it was resolved with the wedding coordinator before we ever knew about it! By the end of the night, we were all gathered on the dance floor, drinks up celebrating, and I remember seeing Patricia and Karl dancing alongside everyone. I was hoping they would get to enjoy their evening with us just as much as we got to enjoy ours, literally thanks to all their hard work and efforts to make our wedding day perfect. Faith Like a Mustard Seed Farm wasn’t just the perfect farm wedding venue with the perfect old red barn like I always dreamed of. It became one of the most sentimental places in our lives, on one of the most sentimental days of our lives, with every sentimental person in our lives - including Patricia and Karl. “Highly recommended” isn’t the proper term, it’s a MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE!

We absolutely loved getting married at 48 Fields. Upon seeing it for the first time, we immediately knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and there is flexibility in regards to their spaces. There are different choices about where you can have your ceremony, plus detailed and organized plans if the weather does not cooperate. Everyone at 48 Fields was extremely professional and responsive. They listened and executed our ideas and provided great feedback when asked. They made the whole planning process seamless. We got so many compliments about the reception space and our day was truly magical here. The delicious cider is also an added bonus!

Our original venue fell through. My daughter had already hired a caterer, made a non-refundable deposit on a tent, and asked guests to save their wedding date. We contacted 31 potential venues in Northern Virginia and Little Oatlands was the only one who actually addressed our questions (instead of overselling us on their amenities). From ease of communication to seeing the beauty of the manor and grounds, we knew we had found the perfect place! The historical tour of the 1800's manor and cottage was delightful. The verdant meadows and rolling hills were a feast to the eyes. It was easy to envision my daughter's dream of an outdoor wedding because we were surrounded by such loveliness. However, it was walking into the majestic garden that took our breath away. Standing under the canopy of trees, strolling between rows of beguiling flowers and statues, we knew we were on hallowed ground. You will be hard pressed to find a prettier sight... or a better venue. Fairy tales do happen at Little Oatlands.
