Great service and a wonderful value for your money! The owners were very responsive, kind, and helpful throughout the wedding planning and preparation process. It is such a beautiful venue and we fell in love with it at first glance. The price point was perfect for us as a young couple and recent college grads. We highly recommend this venue!!

We absolutely loved getting married at 48 Fields. Upon seeing it for the first time, we immediately knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and there is flexibility in regards to their spaces. There are different choices about where you can have your ceremony, plus detailed and organized plans if the weather does not cooperate. Everyone at 48 Fields was extremely professional and responsive. They listened and executed our ideas and provided great feedback when asked. They made the whole planning process seamless. We got so many compliments about the reception space and our day was truly magical here. The delicious cider is also an added bonus!

We had such a wonderful experience at the oak barn. The venue is absolutely beautiful and I think the photos speak for themselves. There are so many spots set up for picturesque moments, from the ceremony site to the grand entrance and exit, to the patio lit up at night, and so much more. There were flowers in bloom perfectly placed for our first look, and arches inside and outside ready to be decorated. We had ceremony flowers transferred for the reception and we were allowed to decorate the rafters as well. What you can’t see is that the owners Barb and Ernie are awesome. They were extremely friendly and communicative and always made themselves available for any questions we had. They have a very curated list of vendors they’ve worked with before, which was long enough that it didn’t feel restrictive but really helped us streamline the process because without a starting point, the number of vendors out there is totally overwhelming. We could tell that our planner and caterer knew them well and they were familiar with the venue, which I think helped things run smoothly on our day. The fact that the barn has both heat and A/C gave us so much peace of mind, and even in April things got warm enough that we had cool things down as the evening went on. Barb and Ernie let us bury a bourbon bottle on site a month out from our wedding, a tradition that is supposed to ensure good weather and keep the rain away. The weather on our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect, and digging it up was a really fun and special part of the day. They were very accommodating to special requests. They don’t usually allow bands, but we wanted to have a live jazz band on the patio for our cocktail hour and they let us. They also let us schedule visits as much as we wanted, so I was able to show my bridesmaids the venue on the way to my bachelorette trip. There are lots of lovely venues out there, but the vendors you choose to work with make just as much of an impact. You spend one day having your wedding, but months and months under contract with them during the planning process. We couldn’t be happier with the venue itself and the experience we had leading up to the wedding.

We had our wedding at Halcyon Watson this past weekend, and we are still in awe of how perfect everything was. From the moment we first toured the venue, we knew it was the one – and it somehow managed to exceed our already high expectations. The property itself is absolutely stunning – elegant, serene, and beautifully maintained. Whether it was the lush gardens, the charming architecture, or the breathtaking indoor spaces, every corner felt thoughtfully designed and picture-perfect. Our guests could not stop raving about how gorgeous and unique the venue was. But what truly sets Halcyon Watson apart is the team. From start to finish, they were organized, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day seamless and special. Every detail was handled with care, and we always felt supported and at ease. The staff was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The venue gave us the perfect backdrop to create memories we’ll cherish forever. It was romantic, relaxed, and timeless – exactly the atmosphere we hoped for. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that is both effortlessly elegant and expertly run, Halcyon Watson is it. Murray Hill was the perfect place for my daughter’s engagement party. Located on the Potomac, Murray Hill is a beautiful and picturesque setting! Every detail was tended to with great care. Owners Peggy and John Rust were experienced, attentive and knowledgeable in guiding us every step of the way. Could not have chosen a better venue!

We spent months researching barn/farm venues in Virginia, and there were clear differences between the commercial barn venues (fake) and the true country barn venues. Faith Like a Mustard Seed Farm (FLAMS) fell into our laps when we were searching the historical area and farmlands of Leesburg. Bonus #1: it’s an active farm with variety of animals that you can interact with and take pictures with! Not only do they advertise a classic red barn, there is a separate cocktail building with a backroom for the groomsmen, a cute cottage for the bridal party, and a pond down the hill with big willow tree that’s the perfect secluded spot for the first look! Bonus #2: FLAMS owners Patricia and Karl are two of the most kind-hearted, hard-working, and genuine people we’ve ever met! From the moment we first drove down the gravel road and Patricia was waving in excitement for us, we felt so welcome! During our walkthrough of the venue, seeing all the beautiful ceremony and reception options, we got to meet some of the farm animals and hear about the success story of their dream venture and where the name came from. It couldn’t have been a more meaningful story and we felt as if it was meant to be! We booked the venue months in advance for a June 2025 wedding, placed a deposit and signed the contract - which was simple and less than 10 pages. We found out we were pregnant in November 2024, and quickly called Patricia to discuss options. They were open to moving the date one time (which is outlined in their contract) as long as the date was open, so we moved it up to April 2025. They were genuinely excited for us and reassured us it would be the perfect day at the perfect time of the season. We wanted to do things a little untraditional and simplify things to make it easier on me considering I would be six months pregnant by then. We planned for a pre-wedding cocktail hour with drinks and some of our favorite snacks, (bonus #3: they setup a photoshoot for the guests with the mini horses!) We were able to pull off a pre-staged setup in the barn for the ceremony, dinner, and big reception, all without having to do any major rearrangements in between. We had an open bar the entire time, dinner buffet, DJ was setup on a stage in the corner, perfect display for our wedding cake, (bonus #4: Karl is a licensed officiant so we were blessed to have him marry us) and the whole plan was wonderfully executed by all. Even with the crazy weather (rain on and off all morning, and wild winds that shook the barn in even the quietest moments) Patricia and Karl did everything in their power to make our day smooth sailing and flawless. If something didn’t go as planned, it was resolved with the wedding coordinator before we ever knew about it! By the end of the night, we were all gathered on the dance floor, drinks up celebrating, and I remember seeing Patricia and Karl dancing alongside everyone. I was hoping they would get to enjoy their evening with us just as much as we got to enjoy ours, literally thanks to all their hard work and efforts to make our wedding day perfect. Faith Like a Mustard Seed Farm wasn’t just the perfect farm wedding venue with the perfect old red barn like I always dreamed of. It became one of the most sentimental places in our lives, on one of the most sentimental days of our lives, with every sentimental person in our lives - including Patricia and Karl. “Highly recommended” isn’t the proper term, it’s a MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE!

If you are looking for a venue that actually feels like family rather than a business transaction, then look no further. We had a relatively abridged planning period and were under a tremendous amount of stress, but the team was amazing at putting us at ease. From day one, it was clear that they weren't just interested in profit but they were truly committed to making our day special. They were incredibly flexible with our many requests and offered expert recommendations to help us save money wherever possible. Kelly (our Month-of Coordinator) was a literal lifesaver. She was always just a text, call, or email away, reassuring us through all the nerve-wracking planning moments. She identified logistical blind spots we never would have thought of and took total charge of our rehearsal dinner! On the day of the wedding, she was on top of EVERYTHING, we were able to relax and enjoy our day and everything went exactly right. Darryl was welcoming and kind, and his presence on the wedding day was so helpful in keeping things moving smoothly and Betsy was so incredibly sweet. On the wedding day, when my anxiety was at its peak, her supportive words and encouragement were exactly what I needed to stay calm and present. The grounds were absolutely stunning, even in December, when we tied the knot. The barn itself is breathtaking with its high ceilings, beautiful chandeliers, and a spacious loft overlooking the main floor. The massive windows allowed for beautiful natural light while keeping everyone cozy and warm. We opted for the two day package and the Bride and Groom suites were a highlight, clean, cozy, and thoughtfully well-stocked with everything we could possibly need to get ready. We cannot recommend this venue and this wonderful family enough!

Our original venue fell through. My daughter had already hired a caterer, made a non-refundable deposit on a tent, and asked guests to save their wedding date. We contacted 31 potential venues in Northern Virginia and Little Oatlands was the only one who actually addressed our questions (instead of overselling us on their amenities). From ease of communication to seeing the beauty of the manor and grounds, we knew we had found the perfect place! The historical tour of the 1800's manor and cottage was delightful. The verdant meadows and rolling hills were a feast to the eyes. It was easy to envision my daughter's dream of an outdoor wedding because we were surrounded by such loveliness. However, it was walking into the majestic garden that took our breath away. Standing under the canopy of trees, strolling between rows of beguiling flowers and statues, we knew we were on hallowed ground. You will be hard pressed to find a prettier sight... or a better venue. Fairy tales do happen at Little Oatlands.
