About this venue
Sweeney Barn is a wedding venue where rustic charm meets modern sophistication in Manassas, Virginia. The historic barn has been restored to make it a perfect space for couples looking for a unique venue. When the Sweeney family purchased the original structure in 2017, they kept all the history and charm of the dairy barn while also transforming it into a beautiful place for special events.
Facilities and Capacity
Sweeney Barn has both indoor and outdoor facilities, with the capacity to host up to 200 guests for a seated banquet with a dance floor. The barn is easily accessible for guests of differing abilities and is climate-controlled inside for everyone's comfort. The lower level has an open floor plan which can accommodate ceremonies or cocktail hours. The upper level consists of a grand ballroom for the reception and a get-ready-suite for wedding preparations.
Services Offered
Sweeney Barn may be a historical building, but it is easily accessible and fully equipped with modern amenities. You will have up to ten hours of access to the facilities - three hours for set-up, six hours for guests, and one hour for clean-up.
Sweeney Barn rental includes:
- (200) white padded chairs
- (200) fruitwood padded chairs
- (20) wine barrels with stools for high-top tables
- (24) 66" round banquet tables seating 8-10 guests each
- (10) 6' rectangle tables for buffet, dessert, DJ, etc.
- (1) half moon sweetheart table
- (1) ceremony podium
- (2) ceremony arches
- Assorted lanterns, decor and lawn games
Couples must have a wedding coordinator present for the event. There is a list of preferred partners that have a great relationship with the venue and know how the layout and flow of the space work best. Couples may choose to use a full-service caterer outside of the provided list for an additional $1,000 fee. They can also use any restaurant for the food for no additional fee, but they are then required to work with a specific company on Sweeney Barn's partner list for the set up, break down, bartending, cleaning and trash removal. This can be discussed and coordinated with the venue prior to the event.
