If you want your food to be remembered on your wedding day then Spilled Milk should be the only choice of caterer. Heather was helpful from the very beginning giving us so many ideas that we never would have thought about. She also answered every question we had no matter how small. She was so patient during the linen selection process as we changed our minds a million times. We knew after the tasting that the food was going to be phenomenal (everyone keeps talking about it!) but we had no idea how amazing the service was going to be day of. The catering team we had day of was incredible. All the tables were beautiful, the guests loved the service at dinner, and the bartenders were so amazing. Misha in particular went above and beyond to make all our guests feel so special during the night by being so kind while getting drinks. From beginning to end, Spilled Milk handled everything and I did not have to worry about anything the day of thanks to them.

Our experience with Spilled Milk from start to finish was amazing! From receiving the quote that reflected what we needed for that day to the flawless execution on our wedding day, we could not have asked for better service. Most of this was due to Heather Ellis, who was our POC and helped us through every decision required. Her professionalism is so evident and she has a keen eye for what will blend well together. From the menu to the rentals to the run of show, everything was well organized and transparent. When we had to switch venues unexpectedly, Heather was so helpful in reaching out to contacts and providing options that would work. All of the staff were so professional and helpful and we got so many compliments on the food and decor for that day. We were so happy with Spilled Milk and are so so grateful for Heather!

From our tasting to the big day, Amit and his team were attentive to our vision and took a lot of care to make sure our big day ran smoothly. Everything about the catering process was excellent—the food was delicious and the presentation was unique and thoughtful. I would hire them again without hesitation. Heather and the entire SMC team were such a pleasure to work with. We were wowed by their food during our tasting, and even more impressed by the fact that they were able to deliver the same quality at scale. We still have guests reaching out to us weeks after our wedding to tell us how impressed they were by the food. We had several guests tell us theirs was the hottest meal they have ever received at a wedding. Heather also helped us coordinate all of our rentals and made sure that not only did the food taste amazing, but it was also beautifully presented. Our tablescapes were stunning and felt so custom to us, and the SMC staff delivered best in class service the day of the wedding. We couldn't have asked for more.

We had a great experience working with Spilled Milk Catering for our wedding. Heather and the SMC team worked closely with us to select a menu and made several thoughtful suggestions to help us customize our selections. They also were instrumental in helping us figure out which linens, furniture, and table settings to rent at a rental showroom appointment. SMC also wasn't afraid to think outside the box. As one example, when we asked if we could do a wedding cheesecake instead of a traditional wedding cake, they immediately said yes and helped us figure out how to pull it off. They were also accommodating when we asked them for creative options for our guests with dietary restrictions. Our guests all raved about the food and drinks at our wedding. We were impressed by their creative and skill and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Amit was enormously helpful in guiding us through the process and helping us make the decisions to optimize the logistics and functionality aspects of our wedding. When the wedding planner didn’t show up for our walk-through, Amit personally took charge and helped us put together the vision of our wedding. The staff were incredibly professional and polite, and EVERYONE from our wedding raved and raved about the food. My wife and I couldn’t have been happier with our appetizer and meal choices. The food was a fabulous and important part of our event.

Spilled Milk Catering was exceptional as our caterer this summer. Going into wedding planning, we had no idea how many choices we would have to make involving food, drinks, linens, signage, and furniture, just to name a few items, and SMC’s Heather and Brittney made it as easy as possible for us. SMC was transparent with pricing each step of the way and provided frank advice on where we did not need to be spending if we didn’t care too much for one thing or another. The cocktail appetizers, drinks, meal, and ceremonial cake were so tasty and beautifully presented. Everyone on the staff was friendly and efficient and looking sharp as they buzzed around seamlessly. SMC helped with our search for a sofa for a tea ceremony, which we ended up not getting, but we appreciated their assistance in finding options from local event furniture rental companies. We brought our own assortment of desserts and SMC nicely presented them for our guests to ensure everything was fresh and looked classy. Can’t go wrong with these seasoned pros who have a creative flair!

We hired Spilled Milk to cater our wedding of around 100 people in The Barns at Wolf Trap and Heather and her team were perfect from start to finish. From the very beginning they worked with us to cater a fully bespoke wedding menu to our needs, our likes, our dislikes, and our accessibility needs for some of our guests (vegetarian, allergies, halal offerings, etc). Heather was extremely easy to get in contact with, and always quick to respond with helpful suggestions, ways to mitigate extra cost, and helpful breakdowns of what we were getting every step of the way.

When meeting with her team at their offices/kitchen, we had fun, informative, and delicious time tasting a variety of options for our wedding day and narrowing down our final choices. Even when we decided to make some changes after the tasting they were extremely amenable and able to make those things happen.

The food at our wedding was my number 1 priority (after getting married to my now wife that is), and every single person I talked to on the day had nothing but incredible things to say about every bite they had that day. From passed appetizers, to the sit down dinner, deserts, and even the most delicious tater tots and grilled cheese sandwiches for a late night snack, it was all a hit.

Again, I truly can't recommend Spilled Milk enough, they are truly worth every single cent we spent with them and I would gladly hire them again and again and again. They say there's no use crying over spilled milk, but when you eat their food you'll have nothing but tears of joy!

Spilled Milk exceeded expectations. When it comes to wedding food - we had relatively modest expectations for a party with 220 guests - at a museum no less without any real kitchen facilities. Spilled Milk blew us away during the tasting and we are thrilled to say the food was just as good on the day of the event. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. We received numerous compliments during and after the event from our guests - everyone wanted to know who we used! We also loved their attention to detail and creative presentation. The service staff and bartenders were also terrific. I would not hesitate to use Spilled Milk again and would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in the greater DC area.

Heather and the whole Spilled Milk team was incredible. Our venue was beautiful but difficult to work with, and the moment that the caterer came into the picture all of that stress went away. They had everything under control, gave great advice, handled everything flawlessly, were communicative, and the product was quality. Great food, great service, and overall a positive experience.
