We hired Laura Louise Events to do partial planning for our wedding, and we could not recommend her and her company enough! She is so thorough, from using questionnaires at the beginning to get to know us and our wedding day vision all the way to the end to help construct the wedding day timeline. Laura was very responsive and transparent about deadlines and vendors throughout the planning process. She was also very budget conscious and has vast vendor connections; she provided us with multiple options within our budget for each of our vendors. Based on the conversations we had about the wedding day atmosphere, she also made sure to pair us with vendors that would match that style. At the beginning, we had a general sense of the concept we wanted for our wedding day, but we struggled to find concrete examples to show Laura for inspiration. After getting to know us, she was able to take our loose ideas and bring our dream vision to life! Laura was incredibly hands on and did not hesitate to attend meetings (in-person and virtually) whenever she could; she prioritized in-person meetings with key vendors like the venue, ultimately looking out for our best interests. Our day of team was impeccable (shoutout to Kayla and Laura!!) and the day went off without a hitch; Laura’s hard work and attention to detail ensured the logistics of the day went smoothly. Laura and Kayla kept everyone in check and made sure we stayed on schedule as much as possible. We loved working with Laura; she was so much fun, had great energy, and was always honest with us. We could not have had our dream wedding without her and we are so grateful for Laura Louise Events! Thank you, Laura, for everything you did for us!

From my very first phone call with Laura, I knew she was the one. I instantly felt comfortable with her, and it was clear she just got me. I’m probably the most indecisive person on the planet, and she was so good at helping guide me through decisions. She knew exactly how to narrow things down and only give me a few options so I wouldn’t feel overwhelmed, and somehow she always just knew what I was looking for. She was always available—whether it was a phone call, email, or text—and she always had an answer for me. I was never left wondering about anything.

She has such an incredible eye for design and took the few random ideas I had and turned them into something even better than I imagined. Our ceremony and reception at The Willard InterContinental was absolutely beautiful and truly everything I wanted and more.

Laura is also extremely organized and kept everything on track with timelines and details I never would have even thought of. She’s easy to talk to, incredibly creative, and just really good at what she does. We truly had the most amazing day, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined our wedding without her.

We booked Laura as our planner in December 2023, a few months after getting engaged, and from our very first call, I (the bride) instantly felt at ease. Our conversation flowed so naturally—it felt like talking to a longtime friend. That immediate comfort and connection confirmed for us that Laura was the perfect person to guide us through the wedding planning process.

Over the next 19 months, Laura helped us build our wedding vision from the ground up. We came in with no concrete ideas and very little direction, but she gently and skillfully drew out our preferences and helped shape them into something truly personal. She guided us through selecting vendors who were not only incredibly talented but also aligned with our budget and priorities—ensuring that every dollar we spent was purposeful and meaningful.

Laura was always responsive—answering emails at all hours, all while growing her family and caring for her three little ones (supermom, truly!). Her commitment and care never wavered.

When the big day finally arrived, Laura and her amazing team—including her intern who had been with us from the start—handled everything seamlessly. From managing vendors to executing the timeline, they took care of every detail so that I never once felt stressed. The day was flawless. Every vendor delivered, and our once non-existent "vision" came together as a perfect blend of both my husband’s and my taste and style.

We truly could not have done it without Laura and her team. The day was magical, and the months of planning were made joyful and smooth thanks to her. We are forever grateful to Laura Louise Events & Planning for making our dream day a reality.

Working with Laura and her team was one of the best decisions I made throughout my wedding planning process. We got married at Fleetwood Farm Winery, where Laura is one of their preferred planners/day of coordinators, and after our first meeting with her we knew she had all the qualities of a day of coordinator we were looking for. I also felt overwhelmed by the design aspect of our wedding and how to best bring our vision to life, so I added that service of Laura's as well. She was there every step of the way and was always there to listen to my many anxieties throughout wedding planning - it felt so nice to have someone listen to my concerns and help reassure me regarding my decisions. In the last 3 months of planning, Laura really took the reigns to coordinate with our vendors to make sure all of our loose planning ends were tied up to ensure a smooth wedding day. She also knocked it out of the park with our design, working with our rental company, florist, and venue to deliver a visually stunning day. Ivy and Grace were Laura's assistants who executed the day of coordination and they were also incredible - my husband and I didn't have to worry about the timeline once because they had every single detail taken care of. If something went wrong, I truly didn't notice! My husband and I's biggest wish for the day was to be truly present, and Laura's team was able to make that wish come true for us with their unparalleled attention to detail and professionalism. We received so many compliments from our guests on the design and flow/smoothness of the day. I'd recommend Laura and her team to anyone planning their wedding in DC area!

I don't know what I would have done without Laura and her team! Having a day-of coordinator was the best decision we ever made. She helped me with some decisions as we got closer to the wedding, which was extremely helpful. The day of the wedding, Laura and her team took care of everything! From tips for our vendors, to coordinating with all the vendors, to making sure we were on track with time, to making sure my husband and I were taken care of. We were so happy to work with Laura for event coordination for our wedding in May 2024. I was so thrilled to find her as a coordinator (which our venue required and I definitely wanted) who we wouldn’t need to hold our hands the entire time, but with whom we would still be able to build a relationship. Over the course of a year, she was available for unlimited questions, vendor recommendations, planning check-ins, gut-checks on what we were hearing from other vendors, and virtual attendance at our rental appointment. She was honest in her advice and always responsive, despite us not being full or even partial planning clients, and her guidance led us to some fantastic vendors that fit exactly what we were looking for in terms of pricing and style. On the day of, she and her team were absolute rockstars in implementing the vision we had spent so long putting together, with great attention to detail and remarkable flexibility when the weather decided not to cooperate. She put up with me when I asked her to wait to make the call on the rain plan until later in the day, leading the charge with our venue, caterer, and florist on partially implementing both Plan A and Plan B so one could be chosen at the last minute. She oversaw another audible when our “grand exit” needed to be semi-improvised inside due to a burst of storms that broke out right before. She did all of this without needing to update me with every detail, but by taking control and making decisions because we had built trust beforehand and she had earned the trust of the vendor team. Everything came together more beautifully than we could have imagined, including a room set up that brought me to tears because Laura and her team executed everything exactly as I had envisioned and even better.

Laura is amazing at her job. I always felt comfortable reaching out to her with questions or concerns I had. Laura was always very attentive to details. Laura is great at problem solving wedding issues as well. The day of the wedding she and her team ensured that everything went off without a hitch. I cannot say enough good things about them, just book her!

Laura and her team were the most flexible and amazing group you could hire! She did a great job communicating with us and our vendors leading up to our wedding day. She made sure to go over all of our contracts and discussed all of the details thoroughly. In addition the team did an amazing setting up all of our items from the ceremony to reception. If you don’t have a day of coordinator, look no further! Laura and her team have been incredible. I reached out to Laura after she was the coordinator for my friends wedding and have not been disappointed since that day. Laura has been the utmost example of professionalism and organization. We chose her day of coordinator services as I was pretty confident about my planning abilities, but we didn’t want to have to do anything on our day of. If you do not feel confident with planning, I would seek out her services for full coverage planning as she did just a stellar job with sending us vendors, connecting with the ones that we had, and helping us with all the details.

Day of our expectations were exceeded! Once her team arrived, Kayla and Ivy, we didn’t have to do a thing! The day of our plans changed a lot and they really kept us on time. We had to deal with a tropical storm that popped up two days before the wedding, which was wholly unfortunate. Our venue and everything was inside, however we wanted to take our first look and party photos outside. On the day of the coordinators helped us find an additional space to take photos in and took care of everything. It was so great to have Kayla and Ivy by our side because I didn’t have to worry about anything, I didn’t have to look at the schedule, I didn’t have to worry if that was set up correctly, or this was set up correctly or if vendors had arrived and we’re on time and tell them where to go etc. etc. It felt great to just spend my entire wedding day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful day it was. Thank you Laura, Kayla, and Ivy for making our event the absolute best that it could be.
