From my very first phone call with Laura, I knew she was the one. I instantly felt comfortable with her, and it was clear she just got me. I’m probably the most indecisive person on the planet, and she was so good at helping guide me through decisions. She knew exactly how to narrow things down and only give me a few options so I wouldn’t feel overwhelmed, and somehow she always just knew what I was looking for. She was always available—whether it was a phone call, email, or text—and she always had an answer for me. I was never left wondering about anything.
She has such an incredible eye for design and took the few random ideas I had and turned them into something even better than I imagined. Our ceremony and reception at The Willard InterContinental was absolutely beautiful and truly everything I wanted and more.
Laura is also extremely organized and kept everything on track with timelines and details I never would have even thought of. She’s easy to talk to, incredibly creative, and just really good at what she does. We truly had the most amazing day, and I honestly couldn’t have imagined our wedding without her. -

We booked Laura as our planner in December 2023, a few months after getting engaged, and from our very first call, I (the bride) instantly felt at ease. Our conversation flowed so naturally—it felt like talking to a longtime friend. That immediate comfort and connection confirmed for us that Laura was the perfect person to guide us through the wedding planning process.
Over the next 19 months, Laura helped us build our wedding vision from the ground up. We came in with no concrete ideas and very little direction, but she gently and skillfully drew out our preferences and helped shape them into something truly personal. She guided us through selecting vendors who were not only incredibly talented but also aligned with our budget and priorities—ensuring that every dollar we spent was purposeful and meaningful.
Laura was always responsive—answering emails at all hours, all while growing her family and caring for her three little ones (supermom, truly!). Her commitment and care never wavered.
When the big day finally arrived, Laura and her amazing team—including her intern who had been with us from the start—handled everything seamlessly. From managing vendors to executing the timeline, they took care of every detail so that I never once felt stressed. The day was flawless. Every vendor delivered, and our once non-existent "vision" came together as a perfect blend of both my husband’s and my taste and style.
We truly could not have done it without Laura and her team. The day was magical, and the months of planning were made joyful and smooth thanks to her. We are forever grateful to Laura Louise Events & Planning for making our dream day a reality. -

Working with Laura and her team was one of the best decisions I made throughout my wedding planning process. We got married at Fleetwood Farm Winery, where Laura is one of their preferred planners/day of coordinators, and after our first meeting with her we knew she had all the qualities of a day of coordinator we were looking for. I also felt overwhelmed by the design aspect of our wedding and how to best bring our vision to life, so I added that service of Laura's as well. She was there every step of the way and was always there to listen to my many anxieties throughout wedding planning - it felt so nice to have someone listen to my concerns and help reassure me regarding my decisions. In the last 3 months of planning, Laura really took the reigns to coordinate with our vendors to make sure all of our loose planning ends were tied up to ensure a smooth wedding day. She also knocked it out of the park with our design, working with our rental company, florist, and venue to deliver a visually stunning day. Ivy and Grace were Laura's assistants who executed the day of coordination and they were also incredible - my husband and I didn't have to worry about the timeline once because they had every single detail taken care of. If something went wrong, I truly didn't notice! My husband and I's biggest wish for the day was to be truly present, and Laura's team was able to make that wish come true for us with their unparalleled attention to detail and professionalism. We received so many compliments from our guests on the design and flow/smoothness of the day. I'd recommend Laura and her team to anyone planning their wedding in DC area! -

I don't know what I would have done without Laura and her team! Having a day-of coordinator was the best decision we ever made. She helped me with some decisions as we got closer to the wedding, which was extremely helpful. The day of the wedding, Laura and her team took care of everything! From tips for our vendors, to coordinating with all the vendors, to making sure we were on track with time, to making sure my husband and I were taken care of. They were so wonderful, thoughtful, and easy to work with. I am so glad we chose Laura and her team. Worth every penny :) -

You won't be disappointed choosing Laura!
We were so happy to work with Laura for event coordination for our wedding in May 2024. I was so thrilled to find her as a coordinator (which our venue required and I definitely wanted) who we wouldn’t need to hold our hands the entire time, but with whom we would still be able to build a relationship. Over the course of a year, she was available for unlimited questions, vendor recommendations, planning check-ins, gut-checks on what we were hearing from other vendors, and virtual attendance at our rental appointment. She was honest in her advice and always responsive, despite us not being full or even partial planning clients, and her guidance led us to some fantastic vendors that fit exactly what we were looking for in terms of pricing and style. On the day of, she and her team were absolute rockstars in implementing the vision we had spent so long putting together, with great attention to detail and remarkable flexibility when the weather decided not to cooperate. She put up with me when I asked her to wait to make the call on the rain plan until later in the day, leading the charge with our venue, caterer, and florist on partially implementing both Plan A and Plan B so one could be chosen at the last minute. She oversaw another audible when our “grand exit” needed to be semi-improvised inside due to a burst of storms that broke out right before. She did all of this without needing to update me with every detail, but by taking control and making decisions because we had built trust beforehand and she had earned the trust of the vendor team. Everything came together more beautifully than we could have imagined, including a room set up that brought me to tears because Laura and her team executed everything exactly as I had envisioned and even better. -

Laura is great at problem solving wedding issues as well. The day of the wedding she and her team ensured that everything went off without a hitch. Scarlett Sent on 10/06/2023Best Advice I Could Give to a Couple is to Hire Laura and Her Team
If you don’t have a day of coordinator, look no further! Laura and her team have been incredible. I reached out to Laura after she was the coordinator for my friends wedding and have not been disappointed since that day. Laura has been the utmost example of professionalism and organization. We chose her day of coordinator services as I was pretty confident about my planning abilities, but we didn’t want to have to do anything on our day of. If you do not feel confident with planning, I would seek out her services for full coverage planning as she did just a stellar job with sending us vendors, connecting with the ones that we had, and helping us with all the details.
Day of our expectations were exceeded! Once her team arrived, Kayla and Ivy, we didn’t have to do a thing! The day of our plans changed a lot and they really kept us on time. We had to deal with a tropical storm that popped up two days before the wedding, which was wholly unfortunate. Our venue and everything was inside, however we wanted to take our first look and party photos outside. On the day of the coordinators helped us find an additional space to take photos in and took care of everything. It was so great to have Kayla and Ivy by our side because I didn’t have to worry about anything, I didn’t have to look at the schedule, I didn’t have to worry if that was set up correctly, or this was set up correctly or if vendors had arrived and we’re on time and tell them where to go etc. etc. It felt great to just spend my entire wedding day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful day it was. Thank you Laura, Kayla, and Ivy for making our event the absolute best that it could be. -

Laura did a phenomenal job planning our Labor Day 2022 weekend! We knew the minute we met that she would be the calm, experienced and well-connected planner we would need to pull off a post-pandemic event. After getting to know us and what we did (and did not!) want, Laura connected us into a curated collection of amazing vendors that we ended up loving. She is very organized and kept everything moving along confidently all the way to - and through - the big day with her team. Laura's design eye for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was equally impressive. Best of all, she's fun, funny and is a huge Caps fan! What's not to love? We highly recommend Laura Louise Events for your next special occasion. -

Hiring Laura was the best decision we could have made! She made our day absolutely perfect. She helped from the beginning with the design of our wedding all the way to the execution on the day. She ensured that our day went so smoothly and perfectly. She communicated with us consistently (even while she was on maternity leave) to ensure we were feeling okay and things were falling into place. She not only took the time to design and execute a beautiful wedding, but she took the time to get to know us as a couple and make sure we as people were taken care of throughout the whole process. We would hire Laura again and again if we could. -

Our Fairy Godmother
Laura made our dreams come true! She saved us from a disaster with one of our vendors and found us an incredible florist one month before the wedding. She made everything look so beautiful at both the ceremony and the reception. She understood our vision and executed it to perfection! I was afraid to bother her with overcommunicating, but Laura put my fears to rest and was there for me, met with me multiple times prior to the wedding, and made sure I was happy and comfortable! We are sooooo thankful for Laura! -

Laura was wonderful. We gave her very little details to work with (I do not consider myself very creative or artistic) and we were constantly trying to save money, and still she created a masterpiece for our winter art gallery wedding. It felt like a secret garden in the city. She also organized our after wedding brunch (kind of at the last minute, to her credit). We did the partial planning package, and we loved the vendors that she recommended for us - they were reliable, attentive, and worked with our vision and budget. We hired Laura really early on (>1 yr out from our wedding), so initially we just checked in now and then when we were hiring new vendors (or just to see how we were feeling), but in the months leading up to our wedding we were ALWAYS talking. If I was having a meltdown, or just NEEDED to discuss timeline at 10pm to calm my anxiety, or if our families were driving me crazy and I just needed to vent, I could call her at any hour of the day. She always calmed me down and reminded me what was important. She thought of everything, and always let me say no when I wanted to. I never felt pressure to buy more or go in a certain direction. With Laura, you feel like you are planning your wedding with a friend; it's comfortable, collaborative, and flexible. Can't recommend enough! Also will note her staff who worked with us day of were lovely and super hardworking! -

Laura and her team helped make my day and the days leading up to it incredible! Laura helped me with sending out invites and managing my RSVP so I could focus on other things. On the day of she seamlessly coordinated everything, and while we got behind schedule she helped me look for ways to make up the time without feeling rushed. She gave me the most perfect amount of space to enjoy the most perfect day! -

Great Experience
Laura was wonderful! We found her last minute with less than 2 months before the wedding. She reminded me of things I didn’t think of. If things didn’t run smoothly I wouldn’t of known. I definitely recommend her to make your life easier. -

An incredible, seamless wedding!
Laura was amazing and helped make our wedding a seamless, incredible experience. She thought of every detail and was always always 10 steps ahead of me, making the day perfect. She is kind and not intrusive, and I had multiple people in the wedding party say how helpful and impressive she was! She was particularly excellent with my 3 year old nephew, preparing him for his role as ring bearer and helping him rehearse and get down the aisle :) The day went off without a hitch! -
