This venue has elegant and rustic spaces that are beautifully united by the winery through wooden barrels, chandeliers and rows upon rows of grape vines. Couples will find this venue, located in Northern Virginia, approximately 30 minutes from Dulles International Airport.
Facilities and Capacity
Up to 120 guests can join couples at this venue for their wedding celebration. Ceremonies take place on the lawn in front of the vineyard. Facing the west, this location offers gorgeous opportunities for evening ceremonies with photographs as the sun casts an orange glow over the sky. On the day of the wedding, couples can use the rows of vines, the barrel room, and the rest of the rolling property for portraits of the couple and wedding party. The Compass Rose Banquet Room is the ideal reception space for couples at this venue. It includes high ceilings and dazzling chandeliers with elegantly decorative beads dangling from the bronze fixtures. Stunning cork accent walls are the perfect complement to the rows of barrels in the production room behind glass, giving the space an authentic winery feeling. The French doors in this room lead to a covered patio that may be used as overflow space or a cocktail reception venue. As the night wears on couples may use the Tasting Room, only available after hours. This large area feels cozy thanks to a stone fireplace that serves as the perfect indoor ceremony spot in the event of inclement weather.

Magical Wedding Venue
Elly, the event coordinator at the winery, is so easy to work with. Always responsive, always knowledgeable, and she was always open-minded when it came to our unusual ideas. She really is the top of the craft. Her attention to detail and extra care was the icing on the cake. She always made us feel very special and like we were the only ones in the room.
Unexpectedly a tropical storm decided to be our wedding guest. Well, Elly would always want to talk rainy day plans, which we sort of “hustled through” thinking no way, our wedding day will be bright and sunny! Well, unlike us, Elly was prepared for everything. We still got the most amazing vineyard view for our outdoor, under their roofed pergola ceremony. Throughout the night, many of our guests complimented that our wedding was one of the most beautiful weddings they’ve been to in years.
One of the best decisions we ever made regarding our wedding was to tie the know at 8 Chains North. The second great decision was to become wine members there; we come there once a month, all the staff is so friendly and accommodating and we feel right at home every time we come out there, rain or shine.
