Based in Delaplane, Virginia, Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery serves couples throughout the greater Washington, D.C. region. The beautiful property is set against the perfect backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains and stunning vineyard views. Thanks to the charming country details and modern atmosphere, the venue is ideal for contemporary rustic weddings. For the last 7 years, we have won our County's Reader's Choice Awards for best wedding venue and best Airbnb. We have an Airbnb that sleeps eight on the property! Our Wedding Wire couples have given us the Couples Award from 2017-2021!
Facilities and Capacity
When celebrating at Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery we believe no event or milestone is too small to celebrate! Our packages offer options for guest counts as low as 10 people up to 200 people for indoor and uncovered outdoor celebrations. The Veranda Patio and Sunset Terrace are perfect for outdoor ceremonies with Mountain Views. The indoor space, which offers 20,000 sq ft, features rod iron doors, stone accents, exposed beams, high ceilings, and a waterfall in the foyer. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the scenery. For smaller ceremonies or cocktail hours, couples may host guests in the second-level balcony, Barrel Room, or Cave. Before the event, to-be-weds and their wedding parties can prepare and relax in the venue’s get-ready suite. We have an onsite Bridal Suite and Groomsman Quarters. For the convenience of those celebrating, guests are welcome to avail of the on-site parking and the property is wheelchair accessible.

Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery is ready to help you create lifelong memories. On the big day itself, the friendly venue coordinating team will be there to accommodate your needs. Thanks to the in-house bar, you and your guests will be able to sip your favorite wines while celebrating. Our venue welcomes outside vendors. We are the perfect place not only for your big day but also for bridal showers, bachelorette and bachelor parties, and all events worth celebrating! We have many room and package options! History
John and Helen Zissios have owned and operated Blue Valley for more than 20 years. They planted their first vines more than 16 years ago. John, who grew up in the mountains of Greece, has proudly carried on his family tradition of winemaking.
Location
This vineyard wedding venue is 45 minutes from Washington, D.C., 50 minutes from Alexandria, and one hour and 45 minutes from Baltimore, Maryland. It is one hour from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, one hour and 41 minutes from Baltimore/Washington International Airport, and 43 minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport. Shenandoah National Park is 28 minutes away.

Stunning venue
Ken was always so easy to reach and helpful throughout our planning process. Kim really helped us coordinate during the day of and I know she did a lot of work behind the scenes to help our day go smoothly. Also their wine is great and one of our guests bought a case of it during our wedding because they loved it so much!
