We are so happy we chose Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery for our wedding. The venue offers stunning mountain views, a nicely designed building, and many picturesque locations for photos. The wine was also good and very well-received by our guests.

The staff was responsive and professional throughout both the planning process and our wedding day. We also appreciated having exclusive use of the property, which created an intimate and memorable atmosphere.

I wanted to share what a wonderful experience we had with Blue Valley Vineyards. My daughter had their wedding reception at BVV's on 5 October 2024. There were 177 people at the reception. The BVV's staff was fantastic, helpful and the venue easily handled 177 people without feeling too crowded. It was a wonderful experience all around. We so enjoyed the property from the Rehearsal Dinner/Welcome Reception in the Barrel room, to the cocktail hour on the patio and finally the wedding reception. The wedding reception was "off the charts" fantastic.
I can't count the number of people who came up to me saying what a wonderful wedding it was. Thanks again to BVV's for hosting such a wonderful event. Wine was great too!

We booked Blue Valley Vineyards and Winery for our daughter's wedding. The venue was truly beautiful and had stunning views. The staff was fantastic to work with and provided great assistance both during our planning and on the day of the wedding. Blue Valley was the perfect venue for our wedding on 9/30/23. We got lucky with the best weather but we would've been totally fine with the backup rain option upstairs as the whole venue and view are stunning. We had about 110 guests and it was the perfect size for the reception.

Ken was always so easy to reach and helpful throughout our planning process. Kim really helped us coordinate during the day of and I know she did a lot of work behind the scenes to help our day go smoothly. Also their wine is great and one of our guests bought a case of it during our wedding because they loved it so much!

Our day was beautiful and we loved having it here.

This venue is breathtaking, both inside and outside. The rain "back-up" plan was just as good, if not better than having the wedding outside. It is down in the cellar. Our guests were blown away by how unique the venue and scenery was. I am so glad we selected Blue Valley for our special day. The wine is also the best wine we have had in Northern VA. We had a lot of compliments on the wine.

Perfect setting perched on a hill with vineyard and Mountain Views. All of the guests loved it. The barrel room is very special and was part of our rehearsal and wedding day. The staff is absolutely wonderful- there was a transition between our venue coordinators but Sophie and the owner did a great job navigating it by maintaining flexibility. Sophie was very responsive and communicated extremely well before and during wedding. She made sure that the day went smoothly from the venue end, and she was effective in offering suggestions and executing plans. She also seemed like she genuinely cared by checking in several times appropriately. It was a pleasure working with the staff at Blue Valley. They met and exceeded our needs, and we highly recommend this site as a venue.

We got married at Blue Valley in October 2022. The venue is stunning, inside and out, and even though we caught some inclement weather from Hurricane Ian, we had so much fun and created lasting memories at Blue Valley. Ken Gray was our venue rep and was by far the responsive person out of all of our wedding vendors that we worked with - he handled dozens of questions from us, and helped make sure the wedding was a success! We really liked that the venue was closed to outside visitors starting at 4pm (wedding setup time), and all of their wines are delicious. We are looking forward to visiting again in the future!

We have so many good things to say about BVV, its team and the Zissios family! We literally showed up mid-covid lockdowns without an appt or tasting reservation and Ken dropped what he was doing and gave us the FULL tour. From there we knew we'd found our venue- that same care is exactly what we felt for the almost two year engagement. We felt like family with Yianni and Helen - for all the wedding related visits and just winery weekends with our pups. They let us truly take the ENTIRE space and make it our own. We loved they let us transform the barrel room into a cathedral ceremony space - had the dance floor on the sunset terrace with the twinkle lights above - and the cocktail space was a perfect inside/outside space for guests to get beautiful photos of the scenery but also stay cool inside if they wanted. Our photos overlooking the mountains are breathtaking and even with super hot weather the event was a success. We became good friends with the staff including Ken, David and Adriene who are all such joys to see every time my husband and I visit (we became wine club members too!). The red wines that the Zissios family and wine-maker Shah create are seriously good - they are a hidden gem in VA. The prosecco is also so refreshing and our guests were RAVING about the sparkling rose (BVV Pink) we served as the welcome drink - we ran out super fast it was so popular!!! Our Sauv blanc also was snapped up by guests - people LOVED the wine (and not everyone there was a wine drinker - but now they are!) There is a bridal suite on property but because of my family size we rented the Zissios Airbnb property on property and I 11/10 recommend this. Not only was it beautiful and a calm place to watch the sunrise - it was a great space to get ready with all my gals - have a full kitchen and large bathrooms - room for makeup artists and the family helped get a precious piece of property back to us after we accidentally left it. There's also another unrelated airbnb at the bottom of the hill that was awesome to use for the guys if you have big families. BVV will always hold such a special place in our hearts - we loved our wedding with them and all the care they put into our day. Plus, it's a bonus we really reallly like the wine and have a few cases at home :D

Blue Valley is a dream. The scenery was the perfect backdrop for my wedding. The staff is accommodating. And the wine is by far the best wine on the entire East coast. I could not have imagined having my wedding anywhere else. I never felt an ounce of stress, and all of my guests commented that it was a once in a lifetime experience. Can not recommend Blue Valley enough!

The number one thing people still talk about with our wedding is easily the venue. We are not from the area (I'm from PA and my groom is from Boston), so we had plenty of people that are not from the area joining us for our big day. The entire experience was perfect. With all of the changes resulting from having a 2020 wedding, the venue made us feel comfortable in knowing we would still have a special day. The ceremony is so gorgeous, overlooking the mountains. Our guests loved the cocktail hour, with the Blue Valley wine flowing. The reception was a dream. Not one moment of the day was stressful, and I am forever grateful! Thank you to all at Blue Valley! Can't wait to visit soon and often!

Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery and their AMAZING event coordinator Cathy was everything we had hoped for and more for our wedding!

After looking at several wineries for our wedding Blue Valley was an immediate no brainer. Not only is the scenery and view breathtaking and the space beautiful and spacious, but our experience from the beginning with Cathy, the event coordinator, was unparalleled. Additionally, unlike the 5 other NOVA wineries we had looked at before BV, Blue Valley provided us with the entire venue for the day, closing to all other visitors.

A week after finalizing our contract for our September 6th, 2020 wedding, COVID shut down the nation. Not only did Cathy ensure that I felt calm and supported as we waited, and ultimately altered our wedding specifics, but she coordinated with all of my vendors throughout the entire process.

Though we decided to postpone our full wedding to next year with Blue Valley, this weekend we were married at Blue Valley with our families and it was perfect! Cathy ensured that, though our full celebration will not be until 2021, I had everything I needed all day and that our family ceremony, reception and photos were everything I had hoped. I have no doubt my experience in April will be just as wonderful.

Blue Valley is hands down the best place in Fauquier county, VA for an elegant wedding. We loved our experience with the incredible wedding planners and staff that came along with the venue. We still get so many compliments on how beautiful the day was. Dream come true!

My husband and I literally cannot say enough amazing things about our Blue Valley wedding experience. Not only was it just the most beautiful location, perfectly equipped for a wedding and getting ready experience, but their staff helped everything to run flawlessly. The vendor costs included a 3 month out wedding coordinator by Terry Kaye events and we were so appreciative of everything they did. We had guests stay at the Airlie which helped the whole weekend feel full of celebrations, as they are more than just a one building hotel, with the culminating event at Blue Valley really blowing guests away. As the bride, getting ready in their bridal suite made me feel so pampered and special.

We also did the rehearsal dinner in their cave and we did have an issue where a storm knocked out the power...However, the Blue Valley team lit candles and it added to the romantic atmosphere of the evening. I really enjoyed the contrast of the beautiful upstairs and outside for saturday to the dark, romantic vibe for Friday. Blue Valley really has it all and I could not be happier with how the day went.

Next, we really enjoyed our wine pourer, Ken. He was so patient and cool. He did our tasting a few months prior to the wedding and was also our pourer for the rehearsal dinner and wedding day. My dad is a bit of a grump and hard to please, and Ken made sure his glass was full and he was happy all night! (Along with other guests, but when my dad makes a nice comment, you know someone is good!)

Lastly, I am a teacher and Blue Valley gave some discounts on wine and threw in free lighting as a courtesy, and teachers always love to be appreciated! Thank you so much Blue Valley!

Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery is simply an ideal wedding venue. The facility and site are gorgeous, and offer spectacular 360° views of the mountains around the Delaplane, VA area. The staff is fantastic and very accommodating, and experienced in hosting weddings or other large gatherings. The facility easily handled 170 guests for my daughter's evening wedding. The main rooms of the winery were perfectly sized for dinner and toasts, and dancing after. The side room offered area for a 2nd bar setup, and the patio area was perfect for cigars and for those seeking a more quiet conversation space while music and dancing was going on in the main hall. Oh, and the wines are all FANTASTIC. We chose Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and our guest raved about all the wines.

Our wedding at Blue Valley was more beautiful than I even envisioned! My fiance and I toured many venues, but the first time we saw the winery, views and met with the owner we both agreed this was it! The owners and staff were very accommodating to our requests including allowing our dog to join us for our first look, bringing our own arbor the day before the wedding and scheduling our tasting for purchasing our cases of wine for the reception. Every time we visited the winery just to hang out, we were warmly greeted by name by the staff and owners. We loved the modern, elegant look of the winery vs. rustic and the wine is much better than some others in the area. We took a gamble and planned our ceremony and reception both outside, and I am so glad we did. It was spectacular!

We shopped around for the right place and when we visited Blue Valley, we knew we had found it. But it wasn't just a beautiful venue. Every part of the experience of working with Blue Valley (mostly through their wedding planner, Terry) was a joy. Blue Valley encourages you to work with their preferred caterers. We checked them all out and chose RSVP, which was a wonderful decision. (I'll be rating them highly in a separate review.) Ours was a smallish wedding (39 guests) and we chose to have a luncheon event in the "Loft." It was perfect. Terry also offered us the opportunity to hold our (Jewish) ceremony on the lawn out back. The ceremony was preceded by wine and appetizers, also on the back lawn. I believe we were the first to hold an event back there. This was risky, as the success of the event was weather dependent. We lucked out. It was a perfect April day. Our guests were blown away (in a good way). If you don't want to have your wedding at Blue Valley, still hire Terry as your wedding planner!

When I first toured Blue Valley, I knew it was the place I wanted to marry my soulmate. It was the most breathtaking of all of the wedding venues we toured. The pictures online do not do it justice, you have got to see the property in person to really appreciate it’s beauty. With a 360 view of rolling mountains, the scenery can not be topped. Blue Valley Vineyard was the prefect compromise for me and my now husband. I wanted something modern and he wanted something rustic and outdoors. We also got the added bonus of delicious wine, friendly staff, and a very talented wedding planner, Terry Kaye.

Our wedding day was MAGICAL and our guests are still raving about how gorgeous, well-planned, and fun everything was. The whole weekend was perfection and I truly believe that was because of our venue. We have been a part of a lot of weddings and Blue Valley is the most accommodating venue I have had the pleasure to work with. Everyone there jumped through hoops to create a stunning event and we made so many amazing new friends in the process. Blue Valley’s list of preferred vendors is the best of the best. We were able to establish a dream team based on their relationships to make our dream wedding come true.

In our venue search, we toured with their owner, Stergio, who we love! He is so kind, talented and so proud of his work - which he should be. The entire Zissios family is so sweet! On our tour, when we walked down to the barrel room, I was sold. It is incredibly gorgeous to host an event. We had our magical rehearsal dinner in the barrel room for 75 people, all who were awe walking into the space. It is also a beautiful space for a smaller indoor reception.

Attached to the the barrel room, is the gorgeous cave. It had an amazing backdrop for the guys to take photos while the girls finished getting ready in the charming bridal suite. I could write a novel on how awesome the bridal suite was for 15 ladies to get ready and it never felt cramped. They have a plethora of champagne glasses, a perfect place to hang dresses, and a private bathroom. The suite has the perfect light for photos and we shared so many special moments in the space.

I cannot say ENOUGH amazing things about what Terry and her team did for us on our wedding day. We had a very personalized and detailed wedding and with that, came a lot of decor. Blue Valley closes two hours before the ceremony start time, which I was nervous about, but Terry made things as STRESS FREE for me as possible. We dropped everything off on Friday morning and I honestly have no idea how they set everything up so perfectly. I gave them lists on how I wanted things displayed and everything turned out more gorgeous than I imagined. At the end of the night, the staff packs everything up for you to take home the next day. We are still in debt to all of their work on our wedding weekend. I highly recommend purchasing Terry Kaye Events full wedding planning package, she made my life so much easier and became a great friend to my husband and me.

The only tricky thing about this venue for us, ended up being our guest count. We were planning on 250 guests and then later told to keep things to 225. Things were still tight and our guests in the loft had issues hearing and viewing speeches and dances. Just keep that in mind if you end up being on the larger end of their capacity!

While searching for a wedding venue, our main criteria was beautiful views. As soon as we pulled up the driveway and saw the views of the Blue Ridge mountains and the winery, we knew we wanted to get married here. Then we saw the Barrel Room and thought it was even more gorgeous and so unique. We had both our rehearsal dinner and ceremony in there. Blue Valley has the most amazing scenery and atmosphere, and of course, the wine is great too. We loved having our wedding here and Terry Kaye Events ensured everything went smoothly throughout the entire process. She was a huge help and made my stress disappear :-) The bridal suite is also an added bonus! Gorgeous decor and stocked with a bottle of champagne. Thank you Blue Valley and Terry Kaye Events!

From the second we pulled up to Blue Valley, we knew it had to be the one. The views paired with the modern decor inside set it apart from any other venue we looked at. The event planners were SO helpful during this process - the wedding day itself was so low stress because of them. Unfortunately we had to take the ceremony inside, but they had a great backup location where everyone could still see the views during the ceremony. I had multiple people tell me it was the most beautiful place they had ever been. I am SO LUCKY we found it.

Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery was the perfect venue for our wedding. First and foremost, the people that assisted us throughout the process were fantastic. Stergio (the owner) and Terry Kaye Events (we worked with Terry and Jordanna) truly want to help you create the event of your dreams. They were willing to work with us on everything we wanted to do for our big day. We had our ceremony outside however, this venue had an incredible back up space inside which should give an bride/groom peace of mind if the weather were to be bad. The outside wedding ceremony site has the most beautiful views of the blue ridge mountains (which made for incredible photos) and after the ceremony they even drove us in a golf cart down to the vines to take pictures . As an added bonus, they have designed a beautiful bridal suite at the venue which makes for such a fun place to get ready and take pictures. We toured a lot of similar venues in the area and I can’t say enough how beautiful and well thought out this venue is. Having Terry Kaye Events as part of our package with the venue was such an amazing added bonus. Jordanna was incredible and made our wedding day completely stress-free.

As Italians ourselves, it was important for us to find a vineyard that not only had good wine, but created the perfect setting for a large wedding. My husband and I met in college at JMU located in the Shenandoah valley so it was only natural that we would exchange our vows with the Blue Valley mountains as our backdrop. The Zizzio family are wonderful people and the owner Stergio made sure to take care of us on the big day (especially when he drove us around the vines so our photographer could take beautiful pictures!) I initially visited Blue Valley Vineyard during their grand opening just a few years ago and I knew then that I would eventually host an event there. The winery itself is modern and elegant with beautiful views of the Shenandoah valley and mountains - the perfect setting for my son’s graduation lunch! The staff is friendly, professional and courteous and I would highly recommend BVVW to anyone seeking a gorgeous venue for a wedding, bridal shower or luncheon or simply a place to have a great glass of wine!

Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery is literally the most beautiful winery I have ever seen. The view is breathtaking and I love the modern yet rustic feel of the interior design. We got married outside on the deck with the beautiful backdrop of the mountains. And then moved indoors for the reception. We even had cocktail hour down in the Barrel room and cave room, which was a unique and awesome experience for all of our guests. The owners and our on site event coordinator were so accomdating and pleasant to work with. Our day could not have been more perfect!

Blue Valley was the first venue we checked out and we ended up booking it on the spot for our beautiful October fall wedding! The owner Stergio was attentive to us during each visit before our wedding and was there to ensure our big day went off without a hitch. Terry Kaye is a true professional who took all of the stress out of our wedding day. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner here in their barrel room, which was incredibly beautiful and romantic. Our friends & family had a blast partying at this new and incredibly scenic winery on our wedding day. Also, having a loft available in case of bad weather was worth its weight in gold...we experienced first hand since it did rain on our wedding day! Excellent experience at Blue Valley and we plan to visit regularly in the years to come.

Matt and I fell in love with this winery when we first visited for a friend's birthday party. We were so pleased they had fall 2016 dates available for our wedding day. Matt and I loved working with Stergio and all the staff at the winery. The space is so beautiful and we loved the outdoor space for the ceremony. We were also relieved they had a beautiful indoor space incase of bad weather. We also used the wine cave for the rehearsal dinner which was such a beautiful and special for our guests. We love the winery and will be back to celebrate many anniversaries.

Blue Valley Vineyards is the best place you could ever imagine to get married at. The mansion on the hill gives you a 360 degree GORGEOUS view of Delaplane Virginia. The venue itself is chic, elegant and minimalist, which allows the bride and groom add a ton of decorations to bring their personalities into the venue. Blue Valley comes with a day of events coordinator, she is golden! Terry was responsive to every little question we had and always made it seem like she was on our side to make our day perfect! Shes sits down with you to go over everything you could possible think of and then adds another 20 details you never would have thought of. During the event, she kept everything on schedule, made sure we were having the times of our lives, and kept the event going smoothly behind scenes. 3 days before the wedding our officiant got really sick and could not make the event... Terry came to the rescue and before she would let me freak out she said she already contacted everyone she knew of. She linked us with an awesome Pastor and the day was saved... not a single guest even knew this had happened. We cannot wait to come back for some delicious wine! I promise you cannot go wrong with this beautiful venue!

Blue Valley Vineyard and Winery is one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have had the pleasure of working at. As a photographer, I appreciate diverse locations to use for portraits on a wedding day and Blue Valley had no shortage of photogenic backdrops! From the contemporary brick building to the gorgeous scenic view of the mountains, this wedding venue was certainly a delight for me, as well as all of the guests. The large, open dance floor provided a wonderful space for the couple and their family and friends to enjoy themselves during the reception. I would highly recommend Blue Valley Vineyard for couples looking for a fantastic wedding venue!

Blue Valley Vineyard And Winery was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding day. Their communication was always effective, clear, concise, and with a warm demeanor. The quality of their work and overall value was beautiful, modern, clean, inspiring, and offered an amazing view.

Candee sent us personal pictures of the wedding and throughout the planning process the venue was open to our unique design plans. Meg was flexible and very calm and professional, along with the entire beautiful staff. The view is truly stunning and breathtaking, and the 100 goats and sheep that roam freely make you feel like you're in Europe. The owner and his wife are just lovely, and the wine is amazing!

The only watchouts are: It's incredibly windy outside - be aware for veils and any outdoor installations. And, skip what we did with installing fabric draping in the main space -- it blocked the air conditioning and we were a little toasty. Not the venue's fault at all, but an oversight and a learning on ours!

The venue is amazing and the surrounding views are incredible and breath taking! The staff is very helpful and accommodating and the wedding planer that comes with their wedding package is top notch! Our wedding went with out a hitch thanks to the amazing staff at Blue Valley. Everyone fell in love with the venue and was blown away on how gorgeous the estate is. We had an amazing wedding and we can't thank Blue Valley enough!

Our experience was great and our Blue Valley planner Kelsey helped me stay on top of things up until the day of. Venue is gorgeous with many opportunities for beautiful photos. Only downsides were that we had to buy BV wine with only 10% off, which ended up costing a lot. There was also an AC problem the day of which made for a very hot day on July 8.

Blue Valley is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue (and the wine is good too). The space is wonderful and the views are spectacular. If you are having both your ceremony and your reception on site, buying the extra hour is definitely worth it, especially since the vendors can't have access to the site until the vineyard closes to the general public. The new bridal suite is lovely. And the downstairs barrel room is a great alternative to taking pictures outside if the weather doesn't cooperate. The staff at Blue Valley has good relationships with their outside vendors, which really helped make sure the whole wedding day ran smoothly.

When we first went to Blue Valley to see the venue, we were given a tour by Stergio, one of the owners. We were very impressed with this beautiful venue and all that it had to offer for our wedding. It checked all of our boxes and included all the things that we hoped it would include. When we received a contract via email from Terry, we were surprised and disappointed to see that many of the items that we had discussed with Stergio were not actually included and came at an additional cost. We were also surprised that the cost of the venue was much higher than what we had expected following our conversation with Stergio. It was Terry who truly sealed the deal with us. After a long conversation with Terry about our frustrations and concerns regarding our interactions with Stergio and the contract, we finally agreed to move forward with signing our contract. Terry was flexible and understanding throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The venue itself was absolutely worth every single penny spent. We were so fortunate to have perfect weather the day of our wedding and our guests cannot stop talking about how beautiful our wedding venue was. The indoor facilities are clean and look brand new. The wine pouring staff is knowledgeable and professional. I especially love that there are so many beautiful options no matter the weather or number of guests, etc. Having Terry included as day-of coordinator is absolutely a huge bonus to working with this venue. She is a TRUE wedding coordinator and having her on board allows you to enjoy your wedding day with friends and family and leave the rest to her. She is a gem! We have no regrets about working with Blue Valley and cannot wait to see all the beautiful photos of our day!

Blue Valley was the most amazing location and venue for my wedding. The views are absolutely breath taking. Stergio was so kind and accommodating. I highly suggest this venue!!

When we booked with BV, they were a brand new venue but we were swept away by the magnificent views, beautiful event space, and wonderful owner, Stergio. Soon after we signed our contract the original Event Coordinator left and BV hired someone new, Terry. We were given the option of hiring her as our DOC or finding our own. Terry was out of our budget and unwilling to negotiate price so we hired someone else. We believe that this decision led to many uninformed/unprofessional emails. Had we chosen to hire her, we feel things may have been handled differently and much more care would have been taken with our wedding. We will say, however, that Stergio and his family were very cooperative throughout the process and all of the communication we had with them was very pleasant. Unfortunately, as Terry served as BV’s coordinator, almost all of our communication went through her.

The contract that we had with BV was very vague. Because of this, we needed to get approval for specific requests in writing. For the most part, BV followed through with everything they agreed to but it didn’t all go as smoothly as it could have. For example, we received prior approval to have our “First Look” photos taken in the Barrel Room. The space wasn’t ready, however, because they had opened it to the public for a wine tasting. They did rectify the situation but it took 45 mins. to clear the space and people continued to walk in DURING our First Look. Although they did apologize, we were extremely frustrated.

The saving grace of BV is it’s location. All of our guests were commenting on the BREATHTAKING views and the excellent wine. It truly is a gorgeous location that provided us with a unique layout for our wedding, which we greatly appreciated. There is so much potential for BV to be a 5-star venue. They seem to have some growing pains to work out and communication amongst their staff/with their clients definitely needs improvement before they can get there!

We chose Blue Valey because the location is simply stunning and they have really good Sauv Blanc. However there were several things that made our special day not magical. Our wedding was on October 17, 2021
1) The wedding coordinator (Linda) seemed very disorganized. There were several phone calls and emails where she would forget the things that we already paid for and then try to recharge us for them. I would have to keep sending her back the receipts to show we had already paid. She told us that we had to schedule our wine tasting, so we scheduled the event via a phone call on Sept 5 for a tasting on October 2, 2021 at 2pm. We asked for an afternoon appointment because we live over an hour away from the venue. On Sept 29, Linda called us and said that we could not have our same appointment. We were really confused by this because we booked over a month in advance-- she also said she didn't have any other appointments available prior to our Oct 17 wedding date, so we had to come. We had to arrive at 11am on the 2nd. When we got there, Ken was surprised because Linda did not tell him that we were doing the tasting at 11am either-- and he was already swamped with a large party. He did a great job trying to accommodate us for her mistake in planning.
2) Linda claimed that she was putting all of our information into a planning system. I had to ask her several times to provide the link. When I finally got the link I went in and checked -- nothing was in the system except for our names; I wrote an initial review that was deleted-- after that review she must have edited the site and inserted the schedule. Please note: the schedule in the system didn't match our actual schedule of events that was cleared with the photographer and caterer, which we sent her at least 3 times. We also had to ask her for the seating chart on multiple occasions. We also had to engage with her several times to get a floor plan. When she finally did provide it; it was missing the wine barrel that we paid extra for-(to put the cake on). We had to remind her that we paid for that and she needed to include it (see photo-- the yellow highlight is where it was on the day of the ceremony, but was absent from her chart). It got to a point (having a busy lifestyle with work) that I had to ask my caterer for help. She kindly stepped in and informed me that my situation with Linda was not unique, that her other brides that were having a wedding at the venue had the same issues. We were also prohibited from accessing the loft prior to 4pm on the day of the ceremony to set up. This limitation was pretty stressful as we were having to put up all the decorations ourselves and almost didn't finish in time.
3) We rented the bridal suite with the understanding that we would have access to the room all day (930 am to 930 pm) (this assumption was written in Linda's incorrect schedule). However on the day of the ceremony, an hour before the actual wedding part-- Linda told me that we would not have access to the bridal suite after 530pm because we could not be down there unescorted after dark--This notification-- coming an hour before the wedding was extremely stressful and disruptive as we had to rush to pack up the whole room. I was also upset by this because , I had wanted the photographer to have access down there later so that she could pump for her newborn in a peaceful and quite place. Instead she had to do this in her car. When she went down to to pump, Linda told her to just drive back up to the main parking lot and that she should be able to come in. Instead the photographer was locked out for a significant amount of time and had to text the groom to get back into the facility, because she hadn't finished her shift yet. I am not sure if she even got pictures of us cutting the cake due to the lock out fiasco.
4) During our pictures, Linda told us that she had to escort us to the vines-but could only drive myself and the groom, she made the photographer follow. Linda was extremely disruptive. She kept trying to tell the photographer how to pose me and do things which were not productive to the photographers process-- At one point in our photo shoot, Linda jumped in our photographers car and moved it without her express permission. This with the combination of locking the photographer out of the building for a significant period of time were the straws that broke the camels back and completely ruined our experience. She cause me a lot of undue stress on my special day-- and I cant take it back. I cant re-do that day. Instead of remembering it as amazing and blissful, I now only remember it as stressful and have a lot of anger because of all of the little things she did to mess it up.
5) The best man also asked Linda on multiple occasions to please cover a drain in the floor where we were having the cocktail hour. It was partially covered, but there was a portion of it that was not covered and could have caused someone to have an accident if their heel had slipped in the cracks. She at the least, could have put up a cone or a rope to keep people from walking in that area-- but chose to ignore it. When I called the owner after the fact, she was also surprised that it was uncovered because she said that there was a cover for it.
I write this review to explain how one employee caused a lot of stress on the day. The vineyard itself is lovely, the rest of the staff there was also great, including Ken who I felt bad for because he kept having to do extra work to fix Linda's mistakes. I hope that the vineyard corrects these problems. No bride can get a re-do and the stress that I had to deal with because of Linda was just not worth ruining my day.
I do wish that we could get some money back for this-- at least since we were sort of forced to pay for her services it would be amazing to have the money back for her. But my goal is honestly just to hopefully see the venue improve.
