In a time when everything is harried and hurried, Bonnie reminds us of what is real and what is important. Her message is clear - good food, family, community and practical lifestyle advice for all As the owner of "Sweet Christina’s Bakery and Café" in Fairfax, Virginia, (an off-shoot of her award-winning Christina’s at the Bailiwick Restaurant) she is winning an audience with her food for the body, In her roles as author, radio show host, television contributor, syndicated columnist, magazine editor and keynote speaker; what has been consistent is her timeless message on the importance of good living. She is an accomplished gourmet cook, gardener, and all-around homemaker. Her most valued gift however, is her knack for connecting with people. To quote Bonnie, “When I prepare a meal, Throughout the years, Bonnie has contributed to KUSA and FOX-5 Morning News in Washington, DC as a family and lifestyle contributor. She has appeared on Fox &Friends on the FOX Network, and most recently appeared alongside White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier during a live broadcast on the morning news. As a writer, Bonnie penned a syndicated column for the Times Community Newspapers. Additionally, she was the family communications and relationships editor for Family Digest Magazine with her columnRecipes for Good Bonnie’s message is culminated in her book, In The Eye of The Storm: A Celebration of Family and the Real Purpose of Home, which received rave reviews from Essence Magazine’s Mikki Taylor. As part of her community outreach Bonnie founded The Mother Link, a non-profit 501c3 organization and organization dedicated to educating, advocating and supporting women in their roles as mothers. Answering calls to support all of our communities, Bonnie was a segment co-host, along with James Avery (former co-star on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) on Princeville 2000, a nationally televised telethon, benefiting the historic settlement of Princeville, NC that was devastated by a hurricane.
