I enjoy baking cakes and cupcakes as a hobby, so I knew I was going to be particular about the wedding cake and that it needed to taste good. Fluffy Thoughts was one of the cake vendors our wedding planner suggested and we ultimately chose them. We tasted a lot of cake options, and Fluffy Thoughts was a unanimous winner. We tasted every flavor we thought we could possibly want and it was so hard to choose! All of their cakes have a great crumb, moisture, and incredible flavor. We ended up going with the Lemon Tart flavor. As for design, Lara was great to work with over the phone and she drew a rough sketch to confirm the idea. Fluffy Thoughts truly brought it to life and nailed it! We also did a dessert bar, and Emma was fabulous to work with on this. Some of their dessert bar items are billed in large sizes (2”x2” square), but it was no problem to have them cut into bite-sized pieces for serving. Emma was great with helping us figure out how much cake and how many dessert bar items we should order, too: her guidance ended up being about right. Wedding guests actually raved about the cake, with some saying they rarely eat wedding cake but overheard others exclaiming so they had to have a piece. A lot of people had warned us in wedding planning that we’d end up with a lot of cake leftover, but we didn’t have that problem. We ended up with just enough for ourselves to enjoy in the days after (plus, we’d had the top tier saved for our 1 year anniversary).
