Absolutely delicious

My daughter and I stopped in yesterday evening to grab cupcakes and cheesecake. Oh my goodness, the best cheesecake we have ever had and the cupcakes are to die for! The icing was incredible! This service was top notch, and the staff very accommodating. This will now be on my must - stop the next time I am in DC.

Excellent experience and delicious cake.

Working with The Cake Room was a great experience. We met with Fadi to assist us in getting our wedding cake’s vision correct and he helped us out to get everything perfect. The delivery went smoothly and the cake was delicious.

Loved the cake!

We got our wedding cake from The CakeRoom, my favorite bakery in DC. Not only does the shop smell like heaven on earth, but the cake was amazing. We wanted a simple, great-tasting cake and The CakeRoom delivered (literally, all the way to Olney MD which was fabulous). All our guests loved it, and I'm incredibly jealous because in all the craziness of the reception my husband and I only got the bites we fed each other at the cake cutting (which tasted great). I plan on going to the bakery sometime soon to get us each a big slice to enjoy!

Helpful, professional and delicious!

Ordering a cake we desperately needed at the last minute was handled so smoothly by the staff and owner. We come here regularly and already love all their delicious treats, but they really came through for us when we needed it. So happy with their cakes and service!

Delicious Cakes and a Great Experience

We had ordered from Cakeroom before so we knew they made delicious cakes (and cupcakes, for that matter!), but we were even more impressed with their wedding cakes -- and how they were willing to work with us to find the perfect cake(s) for our wedding. We didn't want a huge "traditional" wedding cake, so we went with two smaller "cutting" cakes and supplemented with sheet cake to feed everyone. The Cakeroom staff was super helpful in helping us think through how many servings we'd need and what designs we might like (we went with simple...except for the rainbow sprinkles on one of our cakes!). Also, just to underscore, ALL their cakes are so good...we almost hated that we'd decided to only get two! Ultimately, we went with one lemon-lavender cake and another chocolate-chocolate -- both were excellent.

Awesome desserts!

We live near Cakeroom and enjoy their desserts, so it was easy decision to use them for our wedding desserts. We decided not to have a wedding cake, we had hand-held desserts at a dessert table instead. We chose lemon bars, magic bars, pecan pies, apple walnut pies, mixed berry pies, carrot cake cupcakes (gluten free and regular), salted caramel cupcakes, and Oreo cupcakes. We worked with Fadi. The contract process was easy and Fadi was responsive to our questions. We scheduled our tasting for an evening, which, in hindsight, wasn’t smart. We could only taste what was left in the cases, many things we wanted to try were sold out. That being said, everything was delicious, and we ordered items we hadn’t tasted and had no problems. They delivered everything to our venue when requested. Our caterer took care of plating everything. We received many compliments from our guests about the desserts. We really over-ordered and had so much left over. We loved our wedding desserts and highly recommend Cakeroom.

You want this cake

They were a complete dream to work with, and the cake was outstanding. Guests raved and we loved our leftovers :) . 10/10 get this cake while they're still priced significantly below DC rates!

For our wedding, we didn't want to get a large, traditional, expensive wedding cake. We loved the unique flavors that Cakeroom offers and also wanted to provide our guests with a variety of options - that actually taste great! We had a vision to offer cakes with different sprinkle designs (For a life sprinkled with...love, happiness, etc.) and The Cakeroom entertained our quirky request and delivered perfectly!
We also didn't have to do a elaborate tasting. We went in, ordered a bunch of cupcakes to taste the flavors and ordered. They even had a flour-less chocolate cake for our gluten free guests.
