Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings?
Yes. Every month we hold a free Cake Tasting for engaged couples and guests-of-honor to enjoy an array of cake samples.
What are your tasting hours?
Cake Tastings are held on Saturdays between 2pm to 4pm at the Administrative Office in Hyattsville, MD.
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
Wedding cakes are priced by the slice. Prices are determined by the ingredients, overall cake design and labor involved to create an outstanding wedding cake. Each cake is made fresh the day prior to your wedding-never frozen.
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
The top tier is free and displayed alonside the wedding cake for the 1st year anniversary. Since the top tier is not counted towards the final guest count, the whole wedding cake can be consumed.
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
Each wedding cake is custom made to order specifically for the engaged couple. Wedding cakes should reflect the style of the couple.
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
Each cake is made with all-natural ingredients the old fashioned way including fresh cream, butter, fresh fruit, homemade fruit fillings(curds), fresh herbs, natural oils and homemade frosting(made with butter and cream). No preservatives are used at all.
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
All cakes and desserts are made the day prior to the event. Wedding cakes are baked and decorated the day before your wedding.
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Yes. The floral arrangements are at the venue when we arrive to deliver and set up your wedding cake. The flowers must be organic in order to place them on the wedding cake.
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
Rentals include fountains, stairs, bridal figurines and cake stands. We dress your wedding cake table for free to to add more beauty to your wedding cake.
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Yes. Delivery prices range between $40-$60 within the DC Metro area. Areas outside the DC Metro area incur additional delivery fees.
