Wedding Planners in Richmond

After working with Colleen on my 40th birthday party, I knew she was the one to work with for our wedding. I contracted for the day of coordination services but in my opinion, we got much more than that. Colleen and her team coordinated all the vendors, saved us extra fees on delivery and pick up, and provided all the final details to make our wedding beautiful. On the day of they handled all the set up, kept us on time, and managed some very crabby caterers. The whole day was stress-free thanks to Colleen and her team!

We were so happy we chose Marylee and her team to be our wedding day-of-coordinators! Not a single thing went wrong, and not many brides get to say that. That's all thanks to the excellent communication, organization, and experience of Marylee, Mackenzie, and Kiki. They made sure no detail was left out and that we were cared for the entire night. They answered every question surprisingly quickly and were always friendly and clear. The nature of our venue involved lots of crunched timelines and complications that were handled flawlessly. We were in communication for months leading up to the event and it gave us such peace of mind and confidence going into the event that they were top tier professionals every step of the way. I highly highly highly recommend them! It was such a joy to work with them!

Kandes was amazing! I was actually very picky on choosing a coordinator to help us facilitate our wedding day. She executed everything perfectly and I still have my friends saying she did an amazing job staying calm and moving people through the venue/reception without being too abrasive. She helped me stay calm throughout the wedding day so I didn't have to worry AND she even had a drink ready for me after the reception!! Kandes kept everything on time and flowing perfectly. We planned out things prior to the wedding via zoom, phone calls, and in person. After seeing my timeline for the day, she was able to tweak it and give suggestions since she had been to Common House before. If you're looking for a coordinator, have Kandes be there!!

In the week leading up to our wedding, my husband and I regularly said that hiring Jennifer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and the best money we spent! Working with her as a day of coordinator made the day go seamlessly. Jennifer was incredibly organized and knowledgeable and was available to us for questions from our first meeting. We really cannot recommend Jennifer enough!

As a wedding planner myself, I don't give recommendations lightly. When we found ourselves in a situation where our couple's venue logistics were far more extensive than originally anticipated, I knew we needed a strong local team to help execute the wedding day. After reviewing the venue requirements and realizing that an outdoor ceremony and reception would require significantly more coordination, staffing, and hands-on management than promised, I began reaching out to local planners. Kerri Johnson was the first—and honestly the only—planner who responded promptly and professionally. From our very first conversation, Kerri immediately understood the situation and stepped in without hesitation. Together, our team, the bride, and Kerri, Nica and their team worked through every detail, we had planned and took it to the final event execution. What impressed me most was how seamlessly her team embraced a wedding vision they had not originally planned. There was no ego, no hesitation—just professionalism, teamwork, and a genuine desire to make sure the couple had the wedding day they deserved. The entire Elle Loren & Co. team was organized, responsive, calm under pressure, and incredibly supportive throughout the process. Despite the fact that we had never worked together before, they made it feel as though we had been partnering for years. Wedding days don't come together because of beautiful flowers and décor alone. They happen because talented professionals are willing to step in, solve problems, communicate, and work together behind the scenes. Kerri and her team did exactly that. If you're looking for a wedding planner in the Richmond area, I cannot recommend Kerri Johnson and Elle Loren & Co. highly enough. They earned every one of these five stars—and many more. My wedding would not have been what it was without Nilsa and the Emerald Events Team. The moment I began working with them, they understood my vision (or lack thereof before their guidance) and treated me like family. They took a simple color scheme I wanted and general feedback about my likes/dislikes and turned it into something I couldn’t even have dreamed of! Once they began to understand my style, their picture-perfect recommendations for vendors and details kept coming- for things and experiences I never even considered. On top of the consistent professionalism I received from Nilsa and Kalisha leading up to the wedding, their day-of staff blew me away as well. I had ladies at every corner throughout the day practically reading my mind to keep me calm, comfortable, and simply allowing me to fully enjoy every part of my special day. Nilsa was available any and every time I needed her- even for things that may not have specially fallen under “wedding planning”. She became a friend I could turn to for advice, a quick venting session, or a laugh. I catch myself wanting to text her about random things here and there even months after my wedding! I will recommend her to EVERYONE, and who knows, if I get married again she will be the first person I call 😊

Emmett is a lifesaver. Him and his team made our day a complete dream come true!!! We could not have asked for a more beautiful wedding and reception. We were stress free on the day of the wedding, which helped us enjoy every moment. Throughout the planning process, he was there every step of the way and guided us in making the right choices on all our vendors.
