Wow! Where do I even begin. Denise was on a long roller coaster ride with my husband and I. We went from October 5th wedding which had to be cancelled due to no realizing a music festival was occurring in Richmond. Thanks to Denise, we found out early enough to look for another place. In the meantime, we were deciding on pushing wedding back a full year. From May-July 2019 we basically made no decisions on what to do with the wedding. We transitioned to the idea of having a small wedding which ended up changing again. It was finally decided, end of July, to go with our original plan and do a 200+ count wedding September 28th, 2019 in Richmond. We secured Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center. That was where the whirlwind began. Denise was able to manage all our vendors and get everybody on the same page, including bride and groom. The most important thing to me was to not feel completely and totally overwhelmed. I was stressed but working with Denise and her team was a dream. It calmed me down significantly. Most importantly, the day of her team handled any and everything. The execution was flawless. They worked in unison and I was just so surprised to see everything on the timeline really come together. Afterwards, I started hearing about certain issues that arose and was doubly glad they were part of our wedding day. I had such a wonderful time at our wedding! We even got to EAT. My husband loved the unique touch of having a groom’s assistant. I haven’t seen that with other planners and initially didn’t know what purpose it served but I GET IT. We were a cohesive unit on the day of and that is the most important thing.
Long story short, if you are looking for a planner for any event please go with MADE Weddings and Events. Weddings are truly productions even if you go the smaller route it is best to be prepared so the stress will not be placed solely on one shoulder.

As a full on poop on my boots Canadian cowgirl it was a surprise to me that my "Bridezilla" moment was over a tiara. I'm allergic to bees and in the mountains, with horses flowers are bee bait so I wanted to find a way to dress up my hair and I didn't want to use silk flowers or a veil - because well bees don't know the flowers are fake and veils are terrifying to horses. When I found out my vintage dress had a matching tiara my problem was solved until after a year of searching the found matching tiara turned out to be in Richmond Virginia. The lady who was selling it had been victimized by online scams in the past and was unwilling to do anything outside of a face to face transaction. Alberta is a long way from Virginia and just before planning an epic and ridiculous road trip I thought who could help me in Richmond? Well who helps with wedding? Wedding planners!! I did a bit of research in the area and came across Made Weddings; from the website I could sense that the team at MADE understands that what seems like an odd request can mean the world to someone. I talked to Denise and she was more than helpful, she made everything that once seemed impossible seamless. Without hesitation Denise contacted the seller and arranged to pick up the Tiara and shipped it to Canada. I got it last week! Denise sent me pictures of its journey and not only do I have the tiara I have a great wedding story and honestly it is so pretty I've been wearing it around the house when no one is home.
