"Fantastic wedding".! "Wonderful buffet dinner"! "An amazing cocktail hour"! These were just some of the accolades we got for hosting our daughter's wedding at the Marriott at Fair Oaks. From the beginning planning stages to the rehearsal evening and the wedding itself; dealing with our event coordinator, Lucy Warner, was a totally professional experience. It was a smoothly ran event! I had told my daughter to expect hiccups somewhere along the way, but there were none! Ms. Warner orchestrated the wedding flawlessly! In the months leading up to our event, she was always easy to reach out to and our questions were answered promptly. The entire Marriott staff were a delight to work with. The bartender and servers who worked that evening were professional, polite and were always there willing to help in anyway we needed! The food was absolutely delicious! We met our event coordinator and the chef a few months prior to our wedding for a delightful evening of taste testing. The chef explained every dish we were tasting in great detail. It was hard to eliminate one from each category! Our taste testing evening was topped off with a plate of mouth watering cookies for dessert. It took me only a second to decide to order several dozen of these wonderful in-house baked cookies and brownies for our wedding. What a hit they were!! Those cookies/brownies flew off the plate! A week after the wedding and I'm still hearing so many rave reviews that this was the best wedding ever. Honestly, I owe this wonderful evening for our daughter and new son-in-law to Lucy Warner and her team at Marriott! Thank you all so much! Ms. Warner and her staff at Marriott, truly exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced venue in Northern VA to please check out the Marriott at Fair Oaks! You will not be disappointed!

The venue was beautiful and the staff helpful. I would just recommend keeping track of any details yourself to make sure nothing gets missed. Other than that, it was a great experience! Chef Robo is always delightful to work with and the food was delicious. Also, shoutout to Luisa for being the best hype woman ever and making sure I was taken care of all night long!

My wedding at the Old Town Hall last weekend was everything I could have dreamed! The venue was such a perfect fit for our personalities. I feel like so many other wedding venues seem really fancy and nice but have a... coldness to them. This place felt warm, cozy, inviting, and historic in an accessible way. The big appeal to having a wedding here? GETTING MARRIED IN A LIBRARY! The ceremony space is stunning with so much natural light. The front of the building is currently under construction. When we toured the venue, Brianne (who was lovely) told us that it may still be under construction when we had our 2022 wedding, but that if it was, we could get a discount on the space. We went ahead with it and we are glad we did. The construction just blocked off the front entrance, but all of the interior space was usable, and there was a beautiful garden and patio for outdoor photos. The discount they gave us more than made up for it! The building is accessible for people with disabilities-- there is a ramp at the back entrance and elevators inside. This was a concern of mine when touring a historic building, so I was happy to learn it was updated. There are a few cool little treasures in there: the gorgeous baby grand piano and the buffet table that was said to belong to President James Buchanan. The oval shaped windows are so gorgeous and unique. And of course, all of the antique books! I cannot wait to see my photos. Kaveh was the main person I communicated with when planning the wedding and he was wonderful-- attentive and kind and clear about how things worked. The staff at the venue was great, setting up and taking down all the chairs and tables according to a diagram I sent them the week before. We had about 90 guests and that seemed ideal for the space. The whole center of the reception room was a dance floor with 5 tables on either side and a buffet table at the head of the room. A few things to take into consideration if you get married here: If you don't have a DJ, there is an audio hookup in the reception space but it's not great sound quality. We rented some speakers from Guitar Center that were not expensive and played the music off of a laptop and it sounded great. There is a catering kitchen, but talk to your caterers in advance about if they'll need you to pay for 'early dropoff' at the venue because that's an extra charge that needs to be booked in advance. I didn't and the caterers made it work but it wasn't ideal for them. Also, don't use any tape or tacks when putting up decorations and don't use real flower petals for the flower girls, but they're very clear with you about that stuff in the contract, so plenty of time to plan ahead. Our wedding was very DIY, but the comfortable elegance of the Old Town Hall meant we didn't need much in the way of decor. The whole day was a dream come true and I hope to attend (or book) another event there some day!

Skidoos has a separate banquet hall that can hold more than 100 people. We had 60 and it was a great size. They have a dance floor, area for a DJ, a bar, and decent space for tables and whatever else you want to have. We used half the dining room table for dinner tables and the other half for a photobooth and appetizer and dessert tables. The food was good and the management is easy to work with. The best part: NO RENTAL FEES. You pay for the food ($25-$35/plate) and the drinks and that is all. Seriously. It's great!!!

I loved my wedding at the Hyatt! We had a few hiccups along the way such as the wedding coordinator changed (not a big deal), some guests had problems reserving rooms, and they were renovating during my wedding so the water was turned off Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm for all my out of town guests. We made everything work out without any big problems. All of my emails were answered (some took a little longer than planned, but nothing horrible) and all the wedding plans went smoothly! They even set up my centerpieces as I wanted with no added charge. The food was amazing and the staff were helpful and friendly! I had a wonderful time and my dream wedding came true!

Karla, Jeremy, Leandra and Julia were wonderful. Tom and I had a fabulous wedding. We highly recommend them and the Hilton.

The church is beautiful. Sometimes I had trouble communicating with the rectory because they were closed when they were supposed to be open. And just the fact that it's a Catholic church results in there being some inflexibility. But neither of those made a big dent in my desire to get married there. It was one of few requests from my husband. Our wedding day on April 30th, six days after Easter, made it so that I didn't have to do any decorating in the church - it was full of flowers in celebration of Easter and I feel that the beauty of the church really spoke for itself without any decorations.

We took Bollywood Bistro Catering for our Mehndi, Wedding Ceremony lunch, and reception dinner. We could not have asked for a better experience. Here is the email we sent to Pankaj Sharma (owner). With great pleasure and gratitude, we are writing to you. You and your staff, including Vimal, made our daughter's wedding a phenomenal success with the amazingly tasty food. All our guests mentioned this countless times. Please convey our sincere thanks to your chefs and the entire serving staff-everyone was friendly and courteous. Many of our guests were of Maharashtrian origin and truly appreciated the Marathi dishes. Everyone especially loved the taro leaves patal bhaji, potato bhaji, varan, cucumber koshimbir, and shrikhand. The pav bhaji was also a huge hit. In fact, every dish was enjoyed, and we are very grateful for that.

We got married at Old Town Hall last summer (well before COVID, thankfully) and we cannot say enough good things about the venue. First of all, it is stunningly beautiful – the wood floors and antique windows make the entire space feel light and airy, and the wood beams, pillars, and chandeliers add elegance and grace. As if that weren’t enough, the upstairs where we had our ceremony is a beautiful little library (*swoon*) with a small, private room in the back, all of which gets incredible natural light. There’s also a great courtyard with a gazebo and a sweet garden in the back, which were lovely spaces for our cocktail hour. All of these spaces provided stunning background for our photos. Because it’s a historic building there are some restrictions with decorations, but the staff were super helpful throughout our planning process and on the day of our wedding, so we were able to make the space look exactly how we’d hoped. The staff themselves were also all superstars. We visited the space four times, including during a very thorough walk-through, and the day before our wedding day to drop off supplies. We also emailed them with questions about our alcohol permit and vendor inquiries. Each and every time, Old Town Hall staff went above and beyond to make sure we had what we and our coordinators needed to make our wedding go off without a hitch, and they did so with incredible hospitality and kindness. And on the day of our wedding, they worked so hard alongside our coordinators to make sure every transition was seamless and every item we needed was available to us. The staff really blew us away. We absolutely loved having our wedding at Old Town Hall and we highly recommend it to anyone who’s considering it as their wedding venue.
