Guests arriving in Baltimore can take Interstate 70 west (48.8 miles); guests arriving in the nation’s capital can travel north on Interstate 70 (48.7 miles) to Frederick. Bus and commuter rail services are also available. The city’s public bus service is operated by TransIT, and the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee advises city officials on matters relating to the use and promotion of Frederick’s bicycle and pedestrian systems. Wedding guests requiring off-site overnight accommodation can select from a number of fine hotels and inns in and around Frederick. There are clusters of hotels along Interstate 270, south of the city center.
