I had my wedding reception here in December 2025 and it was truly perfection. Milena, the event planner, is professional, talented, and passionate. The moment my husband and I saw the beautiful space and met Milena we knew we’d be in good hands. Our celebration not only looked beautiful, the food was amazing, the schedule ran smoothly, and the staff and Vera were attentive and made everything feel effortless. If you want your reception to feel like the best party of your life, this is the place to have it!

We had the BEST experience working with the team at Vera to host our dream wedding. The decor is out of this world stunning; the staff are warm, kind, professional, and accommodating; the food and cocktails are delicious, fun, and so unique; and the events manager, Milena, is an absolute dream to work with.

She quite literally made everything happen and we fully relied on her expertise from day one. Milena not only brought our vision to life but she took our ideas to the next level while being considerate of our budget and helping us prioritize what was most important to us. Milena is so knowledgeable, a great communicator, resourceful, and someone you genuinely want to befriend. She made the planning process a breeze and guided us every step of the way. She even made sure that on the wedding day we didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Now that the wedding is over we are truly going to miss working with her and will have to figure out what event to plan next at Vera!

Prior to choosing Vera we had looked at several restaurants in DC to host our wedding. Vera was unmatched in value. From the first time my husband and I came in for cocktails we knew we wanted to get married there. The bartender helping us was incredible and the food and drinks were amazing. What my husband always says about Vera is that it feels like home. We can’t thank the entire Vera team for all of the care they put into hosting us and our guests for our wedding day. We heard from so many of our friends and family that their experiences at Vera were better than any other wedding. They loved the staff, thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks, and had an amazing time on the dance floor.

Our wedding was unforgettable and Vera will always hold a special place in our hearts. We recommend Vera to anyone looking for a vibey wedding that prioritizes guest experience and fully delivers on the food and drinks. You cannot go wrong getting married at Vera! We’re so happy we did. They exceeded every expectation.

We could not have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding than Vera Bar & Cocina in Washington, D.C. From start to finish, everything about the venue was absolutely flawless. The space itself is a modern disco dream—think elegant yet electric, romantic yet wildly fun. The lighting, the décor, the glowing disco balls—it felt like we were transported into a glamorous, love-filled night club made just for us.

Our guests were on the dance floor all night, literally glowing under the lights, sipping on some of the best cocktails we've ever had (seriously, the drinks are next-level). The energy in the room was magnetic—everyone was laughing, dancing, and sharing in the joy of the evening. We’ve heard from countless friends that it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding.

And none of it would have been possible without Milena, who is truly a gem. She was incredibly gracious, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire planning process and on the big day. Milena made sure everything ran smoothly while making us feel supported and at ease. Her attention to detail and genuine warmth helped create a celebration that was both stunning and deeply personal.

This was, without question, the best money we’ve ever spent. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that’s equal parts chic, joyful, and unforgettable, look no further. Vera Bar & Cocina is it.

Not only was the venue incredibly affordable, but they truly rolled out the red carpet for us. Every bartender, assistant and security guard made our wedding fantastic. They even let our friends get on the decks and dj the night away!!

I had such an amazing experience at Vera. They executed my vision flawlessly and everything turned out better than I expected! The event coordinator went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and attended to all of our needs throughout the entire process. The service was so warm and welcoming and the food was delicious.

I posted my story on an open forum and people shared similar experiences. They recently bought reviews on google but if you filter through the negative ones, you will see similar stories.
It's unfortunate that I have to write this, as I rarely leave negative reviews. However, my guests were taken advantage of during the event. I hosted a gathering here for 40 guests, purchasing a large amount of food, drinks, and tipping the staff generously at 26%. My intent was to ensure my guests were well taken care of. However, they were charged for the drinks I had already prepaid for, with an additional 22% event gratuity (never disclosed to anyone). This made no sense. Guests were not informed about the prepaid drinks -- no menus, signs, or communication. The event coordinator assured us that they would be informed. When I politely asked the owners for clarification, they placed the blame on us, claiming we should have informed the guests ourselves or suggesting that our guests were scattered around.
I never asked for a refund, only clarity, as we paid a significant amount for the drinks. Not only were we upsold, but my guests were charged for drinks I had already promised to cover. To top it off, the owner shamed us for the packages we purchased, despite the fact that most of my guests don't drink for religious reasons.
That's why I invested so much in food and batched cocktails for those who did want to drink. I have so many positive things to say about this place but I've never encountered a business that is quick to blame clients, gaslight them and shame them. I want to warn others before doing event here.
The owners are very unprofessional - a critic did a review of them in the new york times. I would research it before booking events here.
