Having our wedding ceremony and reception at McClintock was what we had always wanted for our wedding and it truly exceeded our expectations! Working with Caitlin (planning) and Melissa (our day of coordinator) was very easy and made the whole experience so great. Melissa was amazing the entire day and truly made our day go smoothly without any issues. Such a genuine person who wanted to make sure we were happy and having the best time. I cannot speak highly enough about my entire experience with McClintock Distilling. Firstly, I was stopped throughout my entire wedding from guests who were in awe of the venue - it's an excellent space and great location.

The only compliment I got more than the location was the staff! Caitlin handled all of my inquiries, as large and small, with a level of professionalism that was unparalleled. Lindsay was present onsite for event coordination and my family cannot stop raving about how great she was. People stopped me throughout the evening to compliment the bartenders, Zac and Melissa, as well. Seriously, if you want to book a beautiful venue in a prime location that has fair pricing and amazing staff, then book McClintock Distilling.

The staff are so friendly and easy to work with. Everything went very smoothly. McClintock is such a cool spot for a wedding. Highly recommend.

We used McClintock Distilling for our March 2023 wedding, and are so thrilled with that choice. We were originally anticipating up to 140 guests but ended up with a little under 100. I was initially worried the space might end up feeling too large for that many guests, but it was honestly perfect. We did both ceremony and reception in the space, and used the back bar as a hiding place once guests started arriving. We got access to the venue late morning/early afternoon of the day, which was plenty of time to complete all the set up we needed to do (including our own florals). We had plenty of space to add extra decor rentals like a lounge set up, photo booth, large shelves to hold favors, and a desk for the guest book.

We wanted a modern industrial vibe -- both in the venue itself, and in the surrounding area for photos. McClintock was a great choice for this (though it could also easily fit a more rustic vibe depending on decor used). Do not be scared by how the space looks when it is not actively cleaned and prepped for an event - the team will get the space looking absolutely perfect.

We did a combination package that included table/chair rental and coordination, and we really enjoyed working with the team. Lindsey - our day of coordinator - was on top of everything, and our family and friends could not stop saying how impressed they were. We also used their bartenders, and got rave reviews on the signature drinks (an old-fashioned and French 75).

McClintock is a beautiful wedding venue for a non-traditional wedding. The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Frederick on Carroll Creek. We had our ceremony at the CCLP Amphitheater which is across the creek from McClintock. The beauty of an outdoor wedding without extensive travel logistics is perfect and a huge benefit compared to other venues.

McClintock really is a great value, as a working distillery and tasting room, the venue is already set up to host guests which reduces the need for tons of decorations, flowers, curtains, etc. Knowing what we know now, this was a huge advantage and kept our wedding on budget! The rustic feel of a working distillery, the vintage cart, barrels, exposed brick, and Edison bulb lighting creates the perfect ambiance. Additionally, the tasting room size makes the reception/party extremely fun without having to go get a drink from the bar elsewhere or the dance floor getting too crowded. The venue layout is really perfect.

The McClintock team is super inviting and add a few extra details to make your day memorable. The mixologist crafted unique cocktails for our event including a Chai Pear, Gin Mule which was the hit of the day. Our guests loved seeing the bar full of McClintock’s products and I purchased multiple bottles to take home.

One thing to note, as a non-traditional wedding venue, McClintock requires more coordination with vendors. We highly recommend hiring Caitlin, she has a wonderful list of recommended vendors and mastered the logistics making our day seamless and without any disruptions.

We knew we wanted to get married in Frederick, but were torn between a few different types of venues. McClintock had exactly what we were looking for for our ~130 person wedding. They have a rustic/industrial vibe, only needed to do minimal decorations inside. All enclosed, so no need to worry about weather, but plenty of light inside (even on a cloudy day). We booked them in late 2019 for a 2020 wedding, which of course was postponed twice, but Caitlin and the whole team could not have been more helpful throughout the process. McClintock had worked with most all of our vendors before- Wildflower Weddings, PIGS, Lakefront Wine & Spirits- so that made things even easier. The bartenders were awesome, and was so fun choosing our signature drink with them. Everything was reasonably priced, including their alcohol (discount!). Plus, with the location right downtown, our guests could walk to bars after the wedding reception. Would 100% recommend for anyone having a wedding in the Frederick area.

We had our wedding here on 9/19/2021 and the venue coordinator Caitlin (who we also hired for month of coordination, worth every penny) was such a pleasure to work with. The guests loved the venue, and it is so gorgeous at night with the bistro lights and the brewing machines in the second room.

McClintock was the absolute perfect venue for our 88-person wedding! The venue is very hip, modern and industrial - we loved the red brick, large windows, string lights, and the barrels and distilling equipment. The space itself is already so great, that you really need minimal decoration to bring it to life. It felt like the perfect size venue for ~90-100 people, allowing ceremony/reception to occur in the barrel/distilling room, and the dance floor in the room with the bar. The location along Carroll Creek is great as well, as we got some great First Look and bridal party portraits along the water. Caitlin, the venue manager, was super easy to work with, making sure we had ample access to the building as needed, and helping us get the awesome bartenders who served our guests for our wedding. Besides being a cool venue, the distillery also makes AMAZING liquor. They don't require yo to serve their alcohol for your wedding, but their gin, whiskey, and vodka are good that it would be silly not to (and they give you a generous discount per bottle opened!)

Everything about McClintock was amazing and just what we wanted. We were looking for an industrial venue in downtown Frederick that would require minimal decor (because it was already beautiful) and this was it. The open loft ceiling with the string lights, the beautiful barrels, and distilling tanks - all of it was stunning. Overall the space provided such a nice backdrop and environment for our reception.

We also can't say enough about the staff at McClintock. Everyone was so easy to work with and truly made our day go so smoothly.
