I cannot speak highly enough about my entire experience with McClintock Distilling. Firstly, I was stopped throughout my entire wedding from guests who were in awe of the venue - it's an excellent space and great location.

The only compliment I got more than the location was the staff! Caitlin handled all of my inquiries, as large and small, with a level of professionalism that was unparalleled. Lindsay was present onsite for event coordination and my family cannot stop raving about how great she was. People stopped me throughout the evening to compliment the bartenders, Zac and Melissa, as well. Seriously, if you want to book a beautiful venue in a prime location that has fair pricing and amazing staff, then book McClintock Distilling.

The staff are so friendly and easy to work with. Everything went very smoothly. McClintock is such a cool spot for a wedding. Highly recommend.

We used McClintock Distilling for our March 2023 wedding, and are so thrilled with that choice. We were originally anticipating up to 140 guests but ended up with a little under 100. I was initially worried the space might end up feeling too large for that many guests, but it was honestly perfect. We did both ceremony and reception in the space, and used the back bar as a hiding place once guests started arriving. We got access to the venue late morning/early afternoon of the day, which was plenty of time to complete all the set up we needed to do (including our own florals). We had plenty of space to add extra decor rentals like a lounge set up, photo booth, large shelves to hold favors, and a desk for the guest book.

We wanted a modern industrial vibe -- both in the venue itself, and in the surrounding area for photos. McClintock was a great choice for this (though it could also easily fit a more rustic vibe depending on decor used). Do not be scared by how the space looks when it is not actively cleaned and prepped for an event - the team will get the space looking absolutely perfect.

We did a combination package that included table/chair rental and coordination, and we really enjoyed working with the team. Lindsey - our day of coordinator - was on top of everything, and our family and friends could not stop saying how impressed they were. We also used their bartenders, and got rave reviews on the signature drinks (an old-fashioned and French 75).

McClintock is a beautiful wedding venue for a non-traditional wedding. The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Frederick on Carroll Creek. We had our ceremony at the CCLP Amphitheater which is across the creek from McClintock. The beauty of an outdoor wedding without extensive travel logistics is perfect and a huge benefit compared to other venues.

McClintock really is a great value, as a working distillery and tasting room, the venue is already set up to host guests which reduces the need for tons of decorations, flowers, curtains, etc. Knowing what we know now, this was a huge advantage and kept our wedding on budget! The rustic feel of a working distillery, the vintage cart, barrels, exposed brick, and Edison bulb lighting creates the perfect ambiance. Additionally, the tasting room size makes the reception/party extremely fun without having to go get a drink from the bar elsewhere or the dance floor getting too crowded. The venue layout is really perfect.

The McClintock team is super inviting and add a few extra details to make your day memorable. The mixologist crafted unique cocktails for our event including a Chai Pear, Gin Mule which was the hit of the day. Our guests loved seeing the bar full of McClintock’s products and I purchased multiple bottles to take home.

One thing to note, as a non-traditional wedding venue, McClintock requires more coordination with vendors. We highly recommend hiring Caitlin, she has a wonderful list of recommended vendors and mastered the logistics making our day seamless and without any disruptions.

We knew we wanted to get married in Frederick, but were torn between a few different types of venues. McClintock had exactly what we were looking for for our ~130 person wedding. They have a rustic/industrial vibe, only needed to do minimal decorations inside. All enclosed, so no need to worry about weather, but plenty of light inside (even on a cloudy day). We booked them in late 2019 for a 2020 wedding, which of course was postponed twice, but Caitlin and the whole team could not have been more helpful throughout the process. McClintock had worked with most all of our vendors before- Wildflower Weddings, PIGS, Lakefront Wine & Spirits- so that made things even easier. The bartenders were awesome, and was so fun choosing our signature drink with them. Everything was reasonably priced, including their alcohol (discount!). Plus, with the location right downtown, our guests could walk to bars after the wedding reception. Would 100% recommend for anyone having a wedding in the Frederick area.

McClintock was the absolute perfect venue for our 88-person wedding! The venue is very hip, modern and industrial - we loved the red brick, large windows, string lights, and the barrels and distilling equipment. The space itself is already so great, that you really need minimal decoration to bring it to life. It felt like the perfect size venue for ~90-100 people, allowing ceremony/reception to occur in the barrel/distilling room, and the dance floor in the room with the bar. The location along Carroll Creek is great as well, as we got some great First Look and bridal party portraits along the water. Caitlin, the venue manager, was super easy to work with, making sure we had ample access to the building as needed, and helping us get the awesome bartenders who served our guests for our wedding. Besides being a cool venue, the distillery also makes AMAZING liquor. They don't require yo to serve their alcohol for your wedding, but their gin, whiskey, and vodka are good that it would be silly not to (and they give you a generous discount per bottle opened!)

We had our wedding here on 9/19/2021 and the venue coordinator Caitlin (who we also hired for month of coordination, worth every penny) was such a pleasure to work with. The guests loved the venue, and it is so gorgeous at night with the bistro lights and the brewing machines in the second room.

We had out 125 person wedding at McClintock and it was a great, intimate setting for our group. The distillery itself already has a great look, so extra decor isn't really needed, and it has a great look and vibe for pictures for the guests! Would definitely recommend using it for any event where it's probably 135 people or under!

Everything about McClintock was amazing and just what we wanted. We were looking for an industrial venue in downtown Frederick that would require minimal decor (because it was already beautiful) and this was it. The open loft ceiling with the string lights, the beautiful barrels, and distilling tanks - all of it was stunning. Overall the space provided such a nice backdrop and environment for our reception.

We also can't say enough about the staff at McClintock. Everyone was so easy to work with and truly made our day go so smoothly.

My husband and I were married at McClintock in June and we could not have been happier with our choice of venue. The space was gorgeous for both the ceremony (against the beautiful brick backdrop of the main tasting room) and the reception (in the distilling room with its incredible barrels and distilling equipment). The included string lights and gorgeous bar are perfect for our industrial vibe. We had no problem fitting all 100 of our guests for both the ceremony and reception.


The staff at McClintock was incredible to work with. They helped us figure out the logistic details of the wedding, supplied their own (very reasonably priced) bartenders, and even took down a few pictures from the walls that didn’t mesh with the look of our ceremony and reception. The staff was always there to answer questions for us, give our parents/families a tour of the venue before the wedding, and provide suggestions for signature drinks that our guests all loved. We went with their in-house wedding coordinator, Caitlin, who is amazing!

The alcohol selection at McClintock was a huge hit at our wedding. All of our guests loved McClintock’s Vodka, Gin, and White Whiskey and they couldn’t stop talking about how good all of the drinks the bartenders made were. All of the alcohol was reasonably priced and McClintock let us bring in beer, wine, and other liquor to cover alcohol that isn't produced at the distillery.

McClintock was the perfect venue for our wedding and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for the ideal location to tie the knot.

McClintock was the most perfect reception venue we could have ever hoped for! Braeden, Tyler, and the whole team there were so easy to work with throughout the entire process - so accommodating and responsive.

The space itself is so unique and they've already added so many perfect touches (the string lights, artwork, etc.), so it didn't really require many other decorations. The location was also a huge plus - having Carroll Creek right next door was awesome for our pictures.

All of their spirits are fantastic and we were so excited to have them served at our bar - it's safe to say quite a few of our guests are now hooked on their gin!

We've received so many compliments on the venue and we owe it all to the team at McClintock! We can't thank them enough for helping to make our wedding day so perfect.

I really cannot speak any more highly of the guys at McClintock Distilling . I searched probably over 50 venues when we finally decided on McClintock . It’s such a cool and charming venue that needs minimal decorations because of how cute it already is . They had a cool couch and chairs there as well which was awesome .
Braeden was the most chill and laid back guy to work with. He was timely in his responses and so very accommodating to our every need.
Everything turned out perfect!
I will absolutely be returning to this venue for future events and parties !
Definitely worth giving this place a look. Trust me - I am SUPER picky. Also we did wedding pictures on the canal which turned out super cute.

We were one of the first couples to book McClintock as our wedding venue when they opened, and I am so grateful to Braeden and Tyler and their staff for how beautiful our wedding turned out to be. They were responsive and accommodating throughout the process, even when we kept bringing friends and family in for tastings and to check out the venue. We got endless complements on our signature cocktails featuring McClintock's Epiphany vodka and Forager gin, and I cannot thank Braeden enough for helping make our big day a perfect day and a lasting memory.

After seeing photos of McClintock Distilling, we knew we wanted to book it for our May 5th wedding, and I'm so glad that we did. Not only was Braeden extremely responsive and helpful throughout the planning process, our day of contact Tyler was equally amazing. The venue itself is open, spacious, and allowed for us all to have a fantastic time.

We had 118 guests and we were able to fit everyone in the production room for dinner while leaving the tasting room open for drinking, dancing, and other classic reception activities. They're sound system can connect directly to Spotify on your phone, so we were able to save money on a DJ/band. We also had access to two wireless microphones and the in-house speakers were definitely loud enough and easy to manage. We had intended to have our ceremony at the adjacent Carroll Creek Promenade, but due to weather we had to move the ceremony indoors at the last minute and, honestly, we should've just planned to do it there the whole time.

Finally, their spirits are fantastic. We had a couple bottles on hand for our guests and I would guess the three most common phrases we heard were: 1) Congratulations 2) This venue is gorgeous 3) This is the best gin I've ever had. All in all, not a bad way to spend your wedding. And we'll definitely be back for more the next time we're in Frederick.

After searching around Virginia and Maryland for wedding venues for over a month and a half, my husband and I knew something was special about McClintock when we walked through its doors the first time. We were immediately charmed by its gorgeous, restored architecture and distinct, beautiful wooden bar, its high ceilings and warm string lights, and of course, its stunning distilling equipment. After speaking with Braeden, we knew we had to have our wedding reception here. His super friendly, positive, relaxed personality was really refreshing and put us immediately at ease. Braeden and Tyler of McClintock were true professionals and a pleasure to work with throughout the wedding planning process, always answering our questions and providing great suggestions. Tyler was also at our wedding reception the entire time working with our day-of coordinator to make sure things went smoothly, which was really reassuring and comforting for us.

On the day of our November wedding, McClintock was an absolute vision. Aglow with its string lights and abuzz with music, McClintock was warm, inviting, and magical on a rainy, cool fall night. The space worked perfectly-- there was ample room for our 150 guests to mingle, sit, dance, and hang out. While we chose to have our ceremony down the street at Sky Stage (which we highly recommend if you want an outdoor ceremony and a McClintock reception!), McClintock would have been a beautiful setting for an indoor ceremony as well.

Finally, we must give a shout-out to McClintock's superb craft spirits. Our guests loved sampling McClintock's offerings, and we were so excited to serve signature cocktails with McClintock's own Forager Gin in the very room it's distilled in.

We couldn't be happier with our choice to have our wedding at McClintock. McClintock has our highest recommendation.

McClintock is a truly unique and memorable venue. The exposed brick and distilling equipment were perfect backdrops for our photos and the space was very comfortable for our 150 guests, who could easily stroll to the restaurants and shops of downtown Frederick before and after the reception. Braedon and Tyler were very responsive by email and phone, and even accommodated our special requests, which included hanging string lights above the room.

Held a wedding reception there in October 2017. You can't imagine how wonderful it was and how rustically elegant the set up was. Braedon and Tyler are absolutely the best and kindest folks to work with.

McClintock Distilling was perfect... they earned everyone one of those 25 gold stars ; ) First off, the venue is stunning!! 100% what we were looking for and a one of kind in Frederick. Honestly, my fiancee and I booked it from across the country without even seeing it in person (we did send our families however to scout it out) but we had no doubts. We were able to hold both our ceremony and reception in the venue. Perfect location downtown too. Tyler and Braeden were there for us every step of the way. They are so quick to respond to any questions by email or phone or even to set up a meeting at the venue. So accommodating to any of our needs. Flat out, awesome guys. And their liquor is amazing!! Their seasonal drink of cider and whiskey... incredible. Overall, our experience with McClintock distilling could not have been better. Thank you for making our big day everything we could have hoped for and more!

McClintock Distillery made our wedding dreams all come true. Braeden and Tyler went above and beyond to make our vision come to life and everything was absolutely perfect. It was intimate and in the perfect location! They accommodated us with every last minute change, took care of meeting all the vendors, and even hung extra lights from the ceiling for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our big day!!

McClintock was the perfect venue for my daughter and her new husband to get married! It was beautiful, modern, and unique. Braeden was fantastic to work with and incredibly helpful every step of the way. He went out of his way to help us set up a very large New Year's Eve balloon drop and in addition, McClintock spirits are also delicious. Many of our guests told me that it will be remembered as their favorite wedding ever! I wholeheartedly recommend this as a venue and a distillery! Thanks for everything!

It was a delight to celebrate our marriage at McClintock! The bartenders helped us develop signature cocktails, the building is beautiful. Since it is historical, there are some quirks about getting married there, but well worth it.

It took us all but five minutes to decide that we would hold our wedding at McClintock. It was so unique, beautiful, and welcoming. Communication was wonderful, everything was well organized, and the staff we dealt with were incredible. (From the owners, to the coordinator to our wonderful bartender Seth!) The value was incredible, and I highly recommend this as a wedding venue for future couples.

McClintock was a dream wedding venue!! We had everything there - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They were super flexible and accommodating with everything and anything we requested. They were also very kind when something didn't work out, or would try to find a solution to an issue if they weren't able to accommodate something for us. Overall, we were extremely pleased with how everything went and would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for an indoor venue in downtown Frederick.
