Comus Farm

We recently celebrated our wedding at Comus Farm on April 12, 2025, and from the moment we first visited the venue (mind you, this was the first venue we ever saw), we knew it was the perfect place for our special occasion. The beauty of the property is undeniable—the scenic farm views, the rustic charm of the Grand Barn, and the thoughtfully designed spaces made every moment feel magical. We fell so in love we had to force ourselves to see a couple other venues, just so we could say we didn't book the first venue we ever saw. To be clear, my husband and I are not "farm" people, and never envisioned our day on a farm. But in doing my research, it looked like a cost effective option. I will say, not only did we fall in love, but many of our guests commented that this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to, and that the venue was amazing.

To be clear, I am an "easy bride," very chill. I don't sweat the details, and was more interested in the big picture. My mom on the other hand, was over institutional advancement (so a lot of event planning) for a college for around 20 years. So she's very detail oriented, and since she's an expert, is probably a little more involved than the average mother due to her experience. So I can tell you, with us being on opposite ends of the spectrum of attention to detail, this venue can deal with all personality types.

We chose the Grand Barn Wedding package, and it truly offered everything we needed. From the charming and comfortable farmhouse accommodations for the bride and our family to the variety of included options that made planning seamless, every detail was thoughtfully considered -- such as Aisle Planner, a beautiful Air B&B my husband's family stayed in, breakfast the day after the wedding, couples massages, and access to much of the 200 acres creating a beautiful backdrop for our weekend. They also have a plan A, B, (and even C) as necessary in the event of weather or other circumstances. They allowed us to make the decision about indoor/outdoor the evening before. Because they do one wedding a week, you feel as if you have their undivided attention. We basically had the property from Friday - Sunday, allowing us to have all of our events on property: the rehearsal dinner, rehearsal, wedding, and day after breakfast with both of our families.

Special thanks to Lauren and Kara (and their team), who were incredibly attentive and accommodating throughout the entire process. This very much so is a special group of people that work extremely hard to ensure your special weekend is amazing. Their professionalism, warmth, and eye for detail brought our vision to life and exceeded our expectations in every way. If any issues arose, they were handled immediately and with such grace that we hardly noticed—a testament to their commitment to excellence.

The setting also provided breathtaking backdrops for our photos—rolling hills, open fields, and the authentic beauty of the farm created unforgettable memories.

Comus Farm was everything we hoped for and more. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to host such a meaningful day in our lives. Highly recommend!

Comus Farm was the first wedding venue we visited, and it was quickly one of the easiest decisions we made. The staff at Comus are incredibly accommodating, so helpful and communicative. When you are spending so much time with someone on your big day, you want to trust that they will be professional and easy to be around, and we were instantly able to trust Comus with our wedding.

There is a lot of content on the internet saying that a 'venue coordinator' is not a 'wedding coordinator' - but the coordinators at Comus Farm go above and beyond in helping you design your day and execute your plan on the day. They asked all the right questions, helped us create backup plans based on the weather, and handled all the setup and take down of our decor. They expertly handled two minor snafus that popped up on our day (which were entirely our fault) and instantly took care of it, making the day perfect and stress free.

Put all of that on top of one of the most gorgeous venues you will tour, and there is no question that a wedding at Comus Farm is worth the money. If we could repeat our wedding again with Comus, we would! Maybe they will see us in 20 years for a vow renewal!

Having our wedding at Comus Farm was a dream. It's beautiful, and the owners are amazing to work with. I expected a stressful weekend, but instead my wedding day was truly so fun and I got to enjoy every second of it!

The venue is flexible - indoor and outdoor options for both ceremony and reception, and different sized spaces to adapt to guest count. The barn is naturally beautiful, but acts as a perfect backdrop to your decorations.

One of the greatest perks was the weekend stay. The wedding party can stay at the farmhouse onsite the nights before and after the wedding, which made planning such a relief and removed the stress of hard timelines on the wedding day itself.

Lauren and Kara are wonderful people, and were such a joy to work with the entire year leading up to the wedding. They are kind and patient, answering so many questions, and acting as fantastic event coordinators the day of! They went the extra mile to really understand our vision for the wedding day, but most importantly to make sure we were relaxed and enjoying it.

We included kids in our wedding, so the farm animals and wagon rides were awesome family friendly activities during the cocktail hour.

We knew early on that Comus Farm was a great venue, and we are so happy with our decision.

Comus Farm is stunning. The entire property is beautifully maintained with numerous options for ceremony, reception, and photos. The house is perfect for wedding party to stay at and get ready in. Lauren and Kara are the SWEETEST and most patient people who made the process very smooth. I have an anxiety disorder and they both were so kind and easy to work which helped me so much. They coordinated with the vendors, stocked the house with breakfast for the bridal party, set up all of the decorations perfectly, and took care of every detail without hesitation. Truly exceptional service and worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Comus farm is a beautiful venue and Lauren and Kara did an amazing job leading up to our wedding and day-of. They quickly answered any questions, helped where they could, and were spot on on the big day! We have received so many compliments from our guests about how great the venue was and how wonderful Lauren and Kara were. I would highly recommend choosing Comus Farm if you are looking for a wedding venue! Lauren, Iago and Kara are extremely helpful, communicative, professional and accommodating.
My wedding party stayed on the property all weekend which was so helpful and created an even more special wedding weekend. We held our ceremony in the beautiful gazebo, the cocktail hour in the rose garden and our wedding reception in the stunning barn. Guests raved about how beautiful the entire property is! During cocktail hour, Iago, offered tractor rides around the property to our guests and it was such a hit! Lauren and Kara were very accessible and helped with everything from the planning process to the day of coordination. I could not recommend Comus Farm enough. A beautiful venue and even better people!

My wife and I were married at Comus Farm last September, and we will treasure the memories of that place for the rest of our lives. Between the rose garden, the gazebo, and the remarkably well-built barn (for indoor weddings), the property is gorgeous inside and out. The farmhouse was great both for wedding prep, and as a place for the wedding party to stay during the wedding weekend. They offer both outdoor and indoor ceremony/reception spaces, and are incredibly flexible when it comes to rain plans. Lauren and Kara are so incredible, they will hands-on create a magical place for your wedding. And as a bonus to it all, you and your guests get to hang out with Alpacas! If you’re looking to get married in Maryland, absolutely check them out, they are worth every penny and more.

When I first arrived on the property to look at it, it was breathtaking so beautiful and so well kept, and obviously Lauren and Kara were so kind and sweet and so attentive to every single one of my requests and details. Fast-forward to wedding weekend, I had Kara and Lauren on speed dial if I needed anything and they were so helpful for any tiny request. I needed for my wedding party and family. The property is absolutely stunning. My wedding party and I stayed in the farmhouse the entire weekend from rehearsal dinner to a brunch on that Sunday and my friends, and I had the time of our lives. It was so accommodating to have family come from out of state. Be able to stay on the property in a nearby Airbnb that houses 20+ people! I wasn’t worried about hotels, driving and transporting people or potentially having them drinking and driving. It was so nice to just be there the entire time. My friends and family have said that it was one of the best weddings that they have ever been to and I can concur that was the best wedding ever. I cannot recommend this place enough if you live in Maryland or nearby or somewhere on the East Coast or looking to do a destination wedding. This is your place to do it!!! I wish I could relive my wedding weekend. It was so magical and perfect and I could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Comus farms!

We enjoyed the entire weekend at Comus Farm for our daughter's wedding. The entire wedding party was able to stay at the Farmhouse Friday and Saturday night. The rehearsal and rehearsal dinner were hosted by the groom's family at the Farmhouse. The yard and barn were our ceremony and reception locations and the family came back on Sunday for a farewell Breakfast. Everything detail was amazing! The communication, support and service from the Comus Farm owner and the Event Manager was such a source of comfort and relief over our 18-month planning period. Don't hesitate to book your event at this lovely setting. There are many options for all budget and your own vision can become reality as well!
