We recently celebrated our wedding at Comus Farm on April 12, 2025, and from the moment we first visited the venue (mind you, this was the first venue we ever saw), we knew it was the perfect place for our special occasion. The beauty of the property is undeniable—the scenic farm views, the rustic charm of the Grand Barn, and the thoughtfully designed spaces made every moment feel magical. We fell so in love we had to force ourselves to see a couple other venues, just so we could say we didn't book the first venue we ever saw. To be clear, my husband and I are not "farm" people, and never envisioned our day on a farm. But in doing my research, it looked like a cost effective option. I will say, not only did we fall in love, but many of our guests commented that this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to, and that the venue was amazing.
To be clear, I am an "easy bride," very chill. I don't sweat the details, and was more interested in the big picture. My mom on the other hand, was over institutional advancement (so a lot of event planning) for a college for around 20 years. So she's very detail oriented, and since she's an expert, is probably a little more involved than the average mother due to her experience. So I can tell you, with us being on opposite ends of the spectrum of attention to detail, this venue can deal with all personality types.
We chose the Grand Barn Wedding package, and it truly offered everything we needed. From the charming and comfortable farmhouse accommodations for the bride and our family to the variety of included options that made planning seamless, every detail was thoughtfully considered -- such as Aisle Planner, a beautiful Air B&B my husband's family stayed in, breakfast the day after the wedding, couples massages, and access to much of the 200 acres creating a beautiful backdrop for our weekend. They also have a plan A, B, (and even C) as necessary in the event of weather or other circumstances. They allowed us to make the decision about indoor/outdoor the evening before. Because they do one wedding a week, you feel as if you have their undivided attention. We basically had the property from Friday - Sunday, allowing us to have all of our events on property: the rehearsal dinner, rehearsal, wedding, and day after breakfast with both of our families.
Special thanks to Lauren and Kara (and their team), who were incredibly attentive and accommodating throughout the entire process. This very much so is a special group of people that work extremely hard to ensure your special weekend is amazing. Their professionalism, warmth, and eye for detail brought our vision to life and exceeded our expectations in every way. If any issues arose, they were handled immediately and with such grace that we hardly noticed—a testament to their commitment to excellence.
The setting also provided breathtaking backdrops for our photos—rolling hills, open fields, and the authentic beauty of the farm created unforgettable memories.
Comus Farm was everything we hoped for and more. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to host such a meaningful day in our lives. Highly recommend! -

Comus Farm was the first wedding venue we visited, and it was quickly one of the easiest decisions we made. The staff at Comus are incredibly accommodating, so helpful and communicative. When you are spending so much time with someone on your big day, you want to trust that they will be professional and easy to be around, and we were instantly able to trust Comus with our wedding.
There is a lot of content on the internet saying that a 'venue coordinator' is not a 'wedding coordinator' - but the coordinators at Comus Farm go above and beyond in helping you design your day and execute your plan on the day. They asked all the right questions, helped us create backup plans based on the weather, and handled all the setup and take down of our decor. They expertly handled two minor snafus that popped up on our day (which were entirely our fault) and instantly took care of it, making the day perfect and stress free.
Put all of that on top of one of the most gorgeous venues you will tour, and there is no question that a wedding at Comus Farm is worth the money. If we could repeat our wedding again with Comus, we would! Maybe they will see us in 20 years for a vow renewal!

Having our wedding at Comus Farm was a dream. It's beautiful, and the owners are amazing to work with. I expected a stressful weekend, but instead my wedding day was truly so fun and I got to enjoy every second of it!
The venue is flexible - indoor and outdoor options for both ceremony and reception, and different sized spaces to adapt to guest count. The barn is naturally beautiful, but acts as a perfect backdrop to your decorations.
One of the greatest perks was the weekend stay. The wedding party can stay at the farmhouse onsite the nights before and after the wedding, which made planning such a relief and removed the stress of hard timelines on the wedding day itself.
Lauren and Kara are wonderful people, and were such a joy to work with the entire year leading up to the wedding. They are kind and patient, answering so many questions, and acting as fantastic event coordinators the day of! They went the extra mile to really understand our vision for the wedding day, but most importantly to make sure we were relaxed and enjoying it.
We included kids in our wedding, so the farm animals and wagon rides were awesome family friendly activities during the cocktail hour.
We knew early on that Comus Farm was a great venue, and we are so happy with our decision. -

My husband and I got married at Comus in October of 2025, and we had a seamless experience. Lauren and Kara made sure everything ran smoothly and that we didn't have to worry about a thing, and the venue itself was gorgeous. We loved staying in the farmhouse the night before the ceremony, it made everything so easy and so much more relaxing. Would highly recommend! -

Comus Farm is stunning. The entire property is beautifully maintained with numerous options for ceremony, reception, and photos. The house is perfect for wedding party to stay at and get ready in. Lauren and Kara are the SWEETEST and most patient people who made the process very smooth. I have an anxiety disorder and they both were so kind and easy to work which helped me so much. They coordinated with the vendors, stocked the house with breakfast for the bridal party, set up all of the decorations perfectly, and took care of every detail without hesitation. Truly exceptional service and worth every penny. Highly recommend! -

My wife and I were married at Comus Farm last September, and we will treasure the memories of that place for the rest of our lives. Between the rose garden, the gazebo, and the remarkably well-built barn (for indoor weddings), the property is gorgeous inside and out. The farmhouse was great both for wedding prep, and as a place for the wedding party to stay during the wedding weekend. They offer both outdoor and indoor ceremony/reception spaces, and are incredibly flexible when it comes to rain plans. Lauren and Kara are so incredible, they will hands-on create a magical place for your wedding. And as a bonus to it all, you and your guests get to hang out with Alpacas! If you’re looking to get married in Maryland, absolutely check them out, they are worth every penny and more. -

The best weekend ever
When I first arrived on the property to look at it, it was breathtaking so beautiful and so well kept, and obviously Lauren and Kara were so kind and sweet and so attentive to every single one of my requests and details. Fast-forward to wedding weekend, I had Kara and Lauren on speed dial if I needed anything and they were so helpful for any tiny request. I needed for my wedding party and family. The property is absolutely stunning. My wedding party and I stayed in the farmhouse the entire weekend from rehearsal dinner to a brunch on that Sunday and my friends, and I had the time of our lives. It was so accommodating to have family come from out of state. Be able to stay on the property in a nearby Airbnb that houses 20+ people! I wasn’t worried about hotels, driving and transporting people or potentially having them drinking and driving. It was so nice to just be there the entire time. My friends and family have said that it was one of the best weddings that they have ever been to and I can concur that was the best wedding ever. I cannot recommend this place enough if you live in Maryland or nearby or somewhere on the East Coast or looking to do a destination wedding. This is your place to do it!!! I wish I could relive my wedding weekend. It was so magical and perfect and I could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Comus farms! -

We enjoyed the entire weekend at Comus Farm for our daughter's wedding. The entire wedding party was able to stay at the Farmhouse Friday and Saturday night. The rehearsal and rehearsal dinner were hosted by the groom's family at the Farmhouse. The yard and barn were our ceremony and reception locations and the family came back on Sunday for a farewell Breakfast. Everything detail was amazing! The communication, support and service from the Comus Farm owner and the Event Manager was such a source of comfort and relief over our 18-month planning period. Don't hesitate to book your event at this lovely setting. There are many options for all budget and your own vision can become reality as well! -

Outdoor wedding of my dreams :)
If you are searching for somewhere to have the perfect outdoor wedding, look no further than Comus Farm. Lauren and Kara truly pulled out all the stops to make our wedding day unforgettable!
In 2023, my husband and I were looking for wedding venues: we were very specifically looking for someplace that would not require a lot of decoration work, since we were planning the whole event ourselves. As soon as my husband and I arrived at Comus Farm, I said “this is it, I want to book this place.” The farm is located in pleasant countryside, and the farm itself has a very beautiful entrance through trees and sunny fields: many of our guests commented on how this made the drive from the off-site ceremony to the reception at the farm very enjoyable. We toured the rose garden, outdoor dining and dancing pavilions, and the large barn, all of which are airy and open, making it feel very welcoming. The farmhouse Airbnb was spacious, clean, and well decorated. Lauren and Kara were both so kind, and they provided a lot of information with us in our first meeting: we signed the contract about a week after seeing the place.
Lauren and Kara used AislePlanner to help us get going with our wedding planning. The website is easy to use, and the provided checklist covered literally every single tiny detail you could possibly need to consider for the planning journey. I was especially pleased with the seating chart map, it made it so easy for us to track guest meals, stage table set up, and communicate special requests. It also prints out the layout really nicely if you need to send it to your catering company.
Our wedding party stayed at the farmhouse Airbnb the night before and after the wedding. Everyone had a really fantastic time, there was more than enough space for the girls to get ready in the AM, and the food provided was delicious! During the reception, my grandparents enjoyed their dinner in the kitchen so they could get some quiet time and rest, but they were still close enough to the wedding so they could say hello to the guests and listen to the speeches happening in the dinner pavilion.
I also cannot say enough about how much we appreciated Lauren and Kara’s thoughtfulness throughout the planning process and on the day. They patiently answered so many of our questions, and they allowed us to come by three separate times to see the farm and meet with our vendors. They coordinated the vendors without a hitch, and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day of the wedding. Kara drove the two of us and our photographer out to more remote areas on the farm to get some portrait shots. Lauren coordinated some fun photos with the alpacas, which was a lot of fun!
Comus Farm is truly a beautiful spot to have a wedding, complete with a team that made our day perfectly stress-free. I’ll definitely be looking for any other reason to book with them in the future :) -

We had such a great experience! Kara and Lauren were so amazing from the beginning. They have everything you will need to through an amazing event or gathering. We had a company gathering there and they really went above and beyond to help me plan and set up for an amazing evening. Their recommendations were spot on I will highly recommend them to everyone looking for a beautiful farm setting. The space is so flexible for rain or shine and extremely convenient with it's location to 270. Everyone had a blast and the bartender Megan they recommended was spectacular.
They made everything so easy and despite the rain, everything was just beautiful and came off without a hitch. We were able to set up under their beautiful pavilion and gazebo.
Thank you so much for helping create such a memorable event for our company. 5 stars for sure :) -

We attended a wedding at Comus Farm in the Fall of 2022, when we were planning our wedding we looked at several locations and we kept comparing it to Comus Farm and nothing we looked at was nearly as beautiful, big, accommodating, and cost friendly. We booked our wedding with Comus Farm and worked directly with the owner Lauren to plan our day and with the help of her and her staff our wedding was a dream come true. We were able to arrive on Friday and set up/have the rehearsal and then stay on the property at their renovated barn house Air BnB which was beautiful, big, and pet friendly. It offers 7 bedrooms and sleeps up to 16 people. Our entire wedding party and both sets of parents were able to stay at the barn house making it so much easier for us to get ready the day of and for us as the bride and groom to provide accommodations for our wedding party. Lauren provided a thank you basket and fresh breakfast for the morning of our wedding. Saturday we woke up and got ready for the wedding in the barn house and were able to stay the night again following the reception and “check out” on Sunday. The ease of being able to spend the whole weekend on the property was just perfect and helped make the wedding as stress free as possible. We had the ceremony in the loft and the cocktail hour and reception on the first floor of the barn. The barn was also handicap assessable as it offered an elevator for guests who needed it to get to the loft safely. The venue is stunning, the property is beautiful and has so much to offer guests between pictures and ceremony locations, and they even have a playroom for kids if you choose to have children attend the wedding which was so helpful for us! They also have animals!! We live roughly an hour and a half away from the venue and it was well worth any travel necessary for us and our guests because of all it has to offer. We are so grateful for the Comus Farm team helping make our wedding day an absolute dream. -

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Comus Farm (and had our bridal party stay on the property!) and it was a fabulous venue! It was the perfect spot to kick off our wedding weekend. Luckily, our weather was perfect and we could enjoy the Rose Garden and surrounding area, but the Gazebo (and backup pavilion, though not needed) was also great space to gather! Lauren and her team were responsive and helpful dealing with our caterer team and helping us throughout the night. Cannot recommend it more! May have had our whole wedding there had we found the venue earlier even! The new barn is also stunning -- though we didn't use for our event.
Also, the house was an incredible spot to stay, with so many beds and beautifully decorated and clean -- plus the breakfast was generous and delicious! Great spot for us to do hair and makeup before our wedding too!! -

From the farm house ABNB, to the multiple ceremony options, to the stunning barn, and the professionalism and personalization the Comus Farm team has is nothing short of amazing. My sister in law was married here in 2022 and I had my own wedding here in 2023 and Lauren and her team have welcomed our families with open arms and were willing to help in every way possible. The barn offers a loft which was perfect for our ceremony and our private last dance, a huge reception and cocktail area with bathrooms, a full kitchen, a portable bar, a kids room, front and back covered porch with seating, and tons of options for seating arrangements. I was able to get to the venue on a Friday and set up/have the rehearsal, stay on the property with my entire wedding party and both sets of parents including our family dog, have our wedding on Saturday, stay again, and clean up and leave on Sunday. Staying at the farm house we were also provided with complimentary breakfast and Lauren the owner was my day of coordinator. -

Comus farms and event coordinator Lauren, we’re beyond amazing.
The venue: the farm is incredible and has everything you could hope for. And when they don’t have something Lauren gets it! The scenery is beautiful and varied. The barn is comfortable, easy, and elegant and we never had to worry about weather: the rain plan was just as beautiful as the fine weather plan. Having the farm house to get ready is incredible! It’s a long day and we used every perfectly outfitted room and the fabulous welcome basket treats. Having a kitchen was a game changer and as the wedding party got bigger over the course of the day lots of living spaces made it easy and fun.
The staff: Lauren and her people (including her husband) are amazing. We didn’t have enough menus which we discovered as tables were being set: magically another 50 appeared. She has experience, wisdom, calm, and style—all of which we benefited from. Last minute changes, she’s got it. Things you didn’t think of, she has. She coordinated with vendors and let us drop off a truckload of “stuff” at our convenience.
It was a perfect day. Thank you.

Best Experience Ever!
MOB here: I can't think of enough superlatives to describe our recent superb wedding experience with Comus Farm. At every step of the way, from my solo pre-booking tour on my out-of-state daughter's behalf (thanks for letting me videotape everything!) to the minute we left at the end of our daughter's wedding night, Lauren, Kara, and every single member of the Comus Farm family have surpassed our wildest hopes for a perfect day. No question or concern was too small or too much for them, no request too silly or too late or too offbeat--Lauren and Kara met every request with calm, warmth, reassurance, and a rock-solid professionalism. If we forgot something we needed--which turned out to be a long list--they had a backup on hand. If we had no idea where various family or bridal party members were supposed to be at a given moment, Kara and Lauren were there to provide firm, but always respectful, and professional guidance. When the weather turned out a little chillier than anticipated for our rose garden cocktail hour, Kara dispatched heaters. No "reserved" signs for the ceremony in the loft? No worries--they had signs we could use. No idea what greenery or florals to use as a ceremony backdrop? Again, no worries, because they had several arches and greenery drapes that they set up for us, and they looked perfect!
No matter how many times this anxious MOB scurried over to Kara or Lauren with questions before, during, or day-of, they solved *every single concern* we had, and they also often made gentle, helpful suggestions that allowed us to just relax and enjoy one of the happiest days of our lives, knowing that we were being taken care of so fully.
And that's just the people involved! The barn venue itself is exquisite, truly breathtaking (the pictures don't half do it justice) and the farmhouse was a perfect place for our large bridal party to prepare for the day, with plenty of room for everyone.
I could go on for pages (obviously!) but the bottom line for anyone searching for a delightful wedding venue, I can't recommend Comus Farm, Lauren, and Kara highly enough. They have been an absolute joy to work with, full of patience, good humor, quick thinking, and a thorough devotion to making already-happy days even happier through their hard work and thoughtful attention to every single detail.

Very satisfied with the Venue
The Venue is gorgeous, my pictures were so pretty! Lauren and her husband are so nice, they gave us and our family every support on our wedding day. They drove us to take pictures on the venue and it was a PLUS for us. Everything was so nice and the communication as well. -

Truly Magical
Comus Farms was the first and one venue we visited for the planning phase of our wedding. The location is truly beautiful and brings its own flair. We loved working with Lauren, her husband and their staff. You won’t regret getting married here!
Comus farms is a beautiful and calming venue. The owners are so kind, flexible and really make you feel at home. The entire weekend is booked for your wedding so no random people are around. The environment and vibe there is legit perfect!!! The rose garden is stunning and the rolling hills really create a expansive feeling. Thank you Lauren for helping me put on my dream wedding and always responding no matter how dumb my questions were!!! We will recommend Comus farms to everyone! You will not regret having your wedding here!!! -

I can’t speak highly enough about our experience at Comus Farm. The venue - including barn, property views of sugarloaf and other farm features, animals on site, rose garden and gazebo - is stunning. There are many features (chairs, tables, linen, full kitchen, equipment and extras for a reasonable fee) that are already on site. The Director of Events Lauren was joy to work with. She’s kind, patient, responsive and ensured a seamless event - a real pro. We stayed in the Farmhouse, which was beautiful, comfortable and had so many thoughtful touches. Would absolutely do another event here! -

The best wedding venue in Maryland
Our wedding day was perfect!! We couldn’t have chosen a better location for our special day. Lauren, the owner and wedding coordinator, was truly amazing! She went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service from day one.
Lauren was extremely accommodating and quick to respond to any questions or concerns with helpful suggestions or useful information. She made our day even more memorable through her recommendations of various on site locations for photographs and assisting us with decoration arrangements that really accentuated the already beautiful gazebo where the ceremony took place.
Our wedding party and family also enjoyed every moment of our stay at the farm house, from the beautiful ambience and comfy beds to the very tasty complementary treats. We can’t say enough about our experience at Comus Farm. We look forward to returning to Comus Farm in the near future.
From all of our research and very recent experience, Comus Farm easily gets our vote for the best choice for a wedding venue in Maryland. -

Beautiful venue for a fall wedding
We can't say enough positive things about this venue. The Comus Farm is picture perfect and houses multiple options for your ceremony and reception.
From the first day we knew that we were in good hands with Lauren and iAgo, they went above and beyond to ensure that everything would be perfect for our special day. Unfortunately our plan to have our ceremony at the pond had to be changed due to the weather, but Lauren came to us the day before with multiple alternatives for us to choose from. As is always the case, the last minute change came with a few hiccups, but Lauren and her team ensured that everything ran smoothly nonetheless.
We were the first ceremony and the second reception to take place in their new event barn and it was breathtakingly beautiful, and that was even without it being fully completed at the time of our wedding. I can only imagine what it will look like in the future.
If you are looking for a farm venue with breathtaking views, you have found the right place. -

Spectacularly amazing
Lauren and her hubby went all out for our intimate wedding and the property and views are to die for. This is a couple that cares about couples. Very rare to see in a " business ". Made to feel at home while in the stunning farm house, the grounds, the setting, our wedding was right out of a fairytale. Comus Farm is just amazing as is Lauren. Couldn't have been any happier. -

Comus Farm is a gorgeous venue located in northern Montgomery County. Their early 20th century farm house as well as outdoor set-up and newly reconstructed barn is perfect for any celebratory venue. It's quiet, off the beaten path and well secluded from the hustle and bustle of other venues in the Washington DC area. We highly recommend Comus Farm for your future event. -

The setting of the farm is in beautiful fields/hills and during the fall the colors can’t be beat! The farm house itself is spacious and great space to get ready in. Full kitchen for caterer. The rose garden is soo romantic with the fountain!! So many different ceremony spot that fit different style types. And the gazebo is a gorgeous covered option for rain (or without it’s so pretty!). The couple who run the show were super accommodating and on top of it. Brought out heaters without anyone noticing, but very welcome during a crisp October night! We rented the rose garden and Gazebo for my sister's Provence themed bridal shower. Guests were in awe of the property and multiple asked how we would top this day for the actual wedding. Kara and Lauren were very helpful and kind. We would definitely recommend. -

Comus Farm was a great value especially for the cost. The barn is spacious and gorgeous and there are tons of places on the property for photos. There is even a home on the property that accommodated my entire 20+ person wedding party the day before and after the ceremony. -
