Key Ingredients Catering did a wonderful job catering our 75 person wedding in Dickerson, MD. Javier was open to all our ideas during planning stages, and created a menu that was perfect for our fall themed wedding. His team presented a lovely tasting for 4 of us. Appetizers were creative, fresh and tasty. We chose some Peruvian choices that were well liked by our diverse crowd (the shrimp were a big hit). Entrees had ample portions. People enjoyed the crab cake the most! No one felt it was "standard" wedding food. The servers and bartenders were excellent. Javier was open to our preferences for alcohol. He did not push unnecessary items. He accommodated special requests including a drink station before a hayride. Pricing was competitive, and value was great for the amount of food and drink we served. Would definitely work with Key Ingredients again for future events.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Key Ingredient Catering from start to finish. From the moment we met their team at a wedding expo, through our tasting, final walkthrough, and wedding day, we were consistently impressed by their professionalism, organization, communication, and customer service. We especially appreciated their transparency throughout the planning process. They provided a wide range of menu options, were flexible with substitutions, and were incredibly accommodating when it came to dietary restrictions and food allergies. Our guests included individuals who were vegan, vegetarian, lactose-free, gluten-free, and had severe nut allergies, and Key Ingredient ensured everyone had delicious and safe options. For guests with severe nut allergies, they even offered sealed plates for additional peace of mind. Their customer service truly went above and beyond. Because my husband and I weren’t able to attend a formal cake tasting in person, they prepared an extensive assortment of cake slices for us to try at home. This thoughtful gesture made the decision process so much easier. We ultimately selected a beautiful three-tier cake with two flavor combinations: a black-and-white cake featuring chocolate and vanilla layers with cookies-and-cream buttercream, and a carrot cake with cream cheese buttercream. We also had a dessert spread that our guests thoroughly enjoyed. The food itself was outstanding. Our menu included grilled flank steak with soy, brown sugar, garlic, and herbs; cabernet glazed salmon with mustard, cabernet, and brown sugar; wild mushroom polenta with mushroom ragout and herbs; a pear and walnut salad; grilled plum tomatoes; grilled asparagus; and bread and butter. Every dish was delicious, and our guests raved about the food and the variety of options. We also used their drop-off catering for the getting-ready portion of the day, and it was perfect. They provided sandwiches, wraps, fresh fruit, shrimp cocktail, chicken skewers, and more—offering a great balance of lighter items and more substantial food to keep everyone energized throughout the morning. During dinner service, they had plates prepared for my husband and me so we could eat first. This thoughtful detail allowed us enough time to enjoy our meal before stepping away for sunset photos while guests began dinner shortly afterward. We also want to recognize Kamila and Fabiana, her assistant and our day-of lead caterer. During our final walkthrough, they were incredibly kind, calm, and confident, immediately putting us at ease. As regulars at Glenview Mansion, they offered excellent insights into timing and flow that helped the entire day run smoothly. On the wedding day, the reception dining rooms looked stunning, and their team handled setup and breakdown of tables and chairs seamlessly. At the end of the night, they even packed up our leftover dinner and desserts for us to take home, which we truly appreciated. The cake was another highlight. We shared a few inspiration photos, and their team transformed them into something even more beautiful than we imagined. It perfectly matched our wedding aesthetic and felt uniquely ours. Overall, Key Ingredient Catering exceeded our expectations in every way. Their professionalism, attention to detail, flexibility, inclusivity, and incredible food made them an essential part of our wedding day. We are so grateful for everything they did to help make our celebration unforgettable.

I am so happy that I was able to have Key Ingredients Catering apart of our wedding day. The service throughout our cocktail hour and reception was top notch. Javier really worked to give us a menu that had a fusion of our cultures. Everyone raved about how the buffet menu items blended so well together. I can not thank Javier and his team enough for making our wedding day amazing! Javier was attentive to my many questions and special request from the very beginning! We customized our menu for our guest which included passed appetizers, stationary displays, & a duet dinner entree! Javier worked with our budget and was very affordable without sacraficing quality. Our guests can not stop raving about how great the food was! Javier adds just the right amount of spice and flavor to each one of his dishes which sets them apart from most caterers! The presentation of the food and staff were perfect! I would recommended Javier and his team for your wedding day needs!

Took the stress out of what could have been a stressful event. Key Ingredients catered the celebration on life ceremony for my husband. The food and service was excellent. They made some last minute menu changes for me and worked with me on the cost. We had a very nice selection of menu items for a very fair price. I would definitely use Key Ingredients again and will recommend them to others. Thank you.

Key Ingredients was the best caterer! From the start, they were so attentive and listened to my input, creating just the right menu for our wedding reception, while sticking to our budget. Javier and Carla were very professional, attentive and kind from start to finish. The day of the wedding, they proved to be above and beyond our expectations. We had an unexpectedly cold and ferociously windy day for our garden reception. The whole team adapted to the day as it unrolled, and made sure everyone was fed and happy. We had sooo many rave reviews from our guests after! Everyone couldn't believe how delicious the food was and how friendly the staff was. We couldn't have asked for a better caterer, we felt so well cared for, and in the best of hands with them.
