Had the absolute best experience holding our wedding at the Silk Mill!! The venue itself is beautiful both indoors and outside, but the staff is what really blew me away!! Our day-of coordinator, Sarah, was so helpful in making sure every detail was planned and ready leading up to the day. On our actual wedding day, she set up all of our decor, coordinated with vendors, kept us on schedule, helped me with my dress, helped out with pictures, and probably so much more I didn’t even see!! We received so many compliments from our guests on how smoothly the evening went, and that is all thanks to Sarah and the other Silk Mill staff!! Everyone was truly so nice and helpful and really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day!!! I would absolutely recommend this venue, they will not disappoint!!

We recently celebrated our wedding on October 18, 2025, and chose the Marriott Publisher Hotel in Fredericksburg, VA for our stay and room block. It was one of the best decisions we made. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful — polished, modern, and thoughtfully designed — but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the team. Every staff member we encountered was gracious, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our weekend perfect. They seamlessly accommodated early check-ins for our bridal party and guests, ensured our welcome bags were delivered without a hitch, and always greeted us with warmth and congratulations every time we walked through the lobby. Our suite was spotless, spacious, and felt like a peaceful retreat amid the joyful chaos of wedding events. Our guests raved about their rooms, the comfort of the beds, and the level of service they received. It felt like every detail was handled with care. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but staying at the Marriott Publisher gave us peace of mind and a luxury experience that amplified the magic of our celebration. We are deeply grateful for the incredible hospitality we received, and we will always remember the way this hotel helped set the tone for a perfect weekend. We just got married a few days ago on Halloween and have been truly impressed by Day 1 at Brock’s. My now husband and I were searching for a good venue for our wedding that balanced elegance with affordability, and once we had a meeting with Carley last November, we knew this was the place for us. All of the staff were such a pleasure to work with, especially Carley, Victoria, Geoff and others. We had some unique ideas for our reception, and we were extremely grateful to meet with Carley and Geoff to discuss them along the way. The staff worked with us to truly make our dream wedding possible, costumes and quirky ideas and all. The surrounding town is also amazing and the people there are kind, warm and welcoming. Thank you so much for being a big part of our life journey, Brock’s, and a special shout out to Carley for being such an amazing person to work with ❤️ highly recommend for any people considering a wedding venue (or just a place to hold any event or party) in the future ☺️

Ginny was great, she listened to all of our requests and fulfilled them exactly. The flowers at our reception and bouquets were beautiful and lasted weeks after the wedding. When she ended up with extra flowers she and her staff took time to put together extra vases throughout the room; the price we paid for the quality was super.

There are so many great features about this one place. The setting up our wedding with Pheobe has been most delightful. She is very responsive and informative of all the wedding planning. The staff at Kenmore inn made our wedding go very smoothly especially during this hard time with COVID. I highly recommend anyone that is going to get married or have an event at Kenmore Inn to do so. You will not regret it!

Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but choosing this venue was one of the easiest—and best—decisions we made! From the start, we were looking for a beautiful space that didn’t require a lot of extra decorating, and this venue delivered in every way. It’s absolutely stunning and worked perfectly for both our ceremony and reception. The owners are truly wonderful. They only host one wedding per week, which means they’re fully focused on you and your big day. You can really tell how much care and thought they’ve put into the space, right down to the little details that make everything feel special and seamless. One of the most unique things about this venue is that it’s located in a bird sanctuary. While the celebration does need to wrap up by 9 PM due to the location, we simply planned an after-party elsewhere and it worked out great! A fun twist: there’s no Wi-Fi on site. At first, we weren’t sure how that would go, but it actually turned out to be a huge plus. Our guests were fully present and engaged, which made the day feel even more meaningful. Some vendors who rely on digital payments had a bit of a hiccup, but we gave everyone a heads-up to bring cash, and I settled up with vendors the next day without any issues. All in all, this venue was a dream. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, thoughtful, and truly special place to celebrate their wedding.

We loved the loft suite! It was very nice! Our wedding was in the courtyard by the pond and it was beautiful! Everything was perfect!

Just had my son's wedding here yesterday. The ceremony site was beyond beautiful. The biggest thing I can say is that Karman and her staff were amazing, Very professional, organized, easy to work with. We could not have pulled it off without them.

We took our wedding photos in the gardens at Gari Melchers and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were very nice and accommodating when the bride needed to hide in the gift shop to set up the “first look” photo. The photos came out stunning!

They were understanding and helped us every chance they could. It is mandatory to use their onsite catering, but the chef and their team is amazing. Our guests enjoyed the food so much that their complaint was that there wasn't enough time to eat it all. They paid attention to details and the lighting and napkins, signs and parking arrangements, were all about our theme. We definitely recommend them. Thanks so much.
