Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but choosing this venue was one of the easiest—and best—decisions we made!

From the start, we were looking for a beautiful space that didn’t require a lot of extra decorating, and this venue delivered in every way. It’s absolutely stunning and worked perfectly for both our ceremony and reception.

The owners are truly wonderful. They only host one wedding per week, which means they’re fully focused on you and your big day. You can really tell how much care and thought they’ve put into the space, right down to the little details that make everything feel special and seamless.

One of the most unique things about this venue is that it’s located in a bird sanctuary. While the celebration does need to wrap up by 9 PM due to the location, we simply planned an after-party elsewhere and it worked out great!

A fun twist: there’s no Wi-Fi on site. At first, we weren’t sure how that would go, but it actually turned out to be a huge plus. Our guests were fully present and engaged, which made the day feel even more meaningful. Some vendors who rely on digital payments had a bit of a hiccup, but we gave everyone a heads-up to bring cash, and I settled up with vendors the next day without any issues.

All in all, this venue was a dream. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, thoughtful, and truly special place to celebrate their wedding.

We have known the Clores for a long time (my husband his whole life), so we knew this would be the perfect venue for our son. Well it was even better then we could have imagined. Gene, Linda, their helper Ian and even their grand kids were so helpful! Gene was even so crafty to help with making contraptions to keep top heavy vases from being blown over by the wind. The venue was truly beautiful!

Absolutely breathtaking venue. From start to finish, Linda and Gene were accessible and friendly. I had so many worries over my day since it called for rain and thunderstorms. Not only were they friendly and reassuring about my concerns, when we got there, their gutter system was top notch. They were there nearly all day making sure everything was running smoothly and we had everything we needed. Even though we didn't brave the rain at the pergola for our ceremony, it was still beautiful underneath the center tent with our loved ones around us. We got so many comments from our guests about how much they loved the venue. The price was more than reasonable and we didn't have to rent anything but linens. I absolutely loved the bridal suite upstairs. It was comfortable and allowed my makeup/hair people to have plenty of room and light. The venue is about 5 minutes from Spotsylvania's Central Park and there are plenty of hotels around. Thank you all so much for making Matt and I's day perfect!

The Clores made my wedding day one of the least stressful days of my life.

They're amazingly accommodating, constantly friendly, and they have the perfect blend of providing advice vs letting us make our own choices. They're also very up front about cost and what's provided. For other venues we looked at, we would arrive mostly-blind, and wouldn't know what the pricing was or what it included until the end of a tour.

On the day of the wedding, they were awesome. It turned out that I'd messed up our table layout: I'd sketched a table where there was a column for the pavilion. My wife was hiding in the bridal suite having her makeup done, and so when the Clores were looking for feedback on how to proceed, she told them "You know your venue: I trust you to adjust the layout however you think is best". Her trust was well-deserved. The Clores shifted our table arrangement slightly, and it wasn't until later in the day that I even noticed anything had been changed.

We also had the looming threat of rain on the forecast, which was scary since we didn't have an indoor backup plan. But we got to see the Clore's gutter system at work when we toured the venue, and it's quite impressive. During the event, even with 50% chance of rain, I was never worried.

I would recommend Riverside Weddings for anyone who wants a beautiful and friendly outdoor venue.

Beautiful venue! I was so worried about rain on my wedding day (they were calling for a chance of storms every day!), but the Clore's reassured me that they would make it work, even with us expecting a lot of guests (we had about 125 rsvp). However, the day went off without a hitch and sure enough it didn't rain. This venue made my wedding feel so enchanting and all my friends/relatives said exactly that, and that is all thanks to the Clore's!

What a beautiful venue for a wedding! Everything was amazing, it's right on the Rappahanock River so the backdrop for pictures was unbelievable. Gene was great, very attentive, and willing to do whatever it took to make us happy. We'd highly recommend this place!!

The setting is stunningly beautiful - and Gene and Linda were so kind, helpful, professional and flexible. They were one of the key reasons that everyone had a great time at the ceremony and reception!

This venue was perfect! This beautiful little secret of Fredericksburg was amazing. Mr. and Mrs. Clore were wonderful to work with! From signing the contract to the day of the wedding, they were responsive and attentive to our specific wedding. The grounds were beautifully taken care of, the cabin and newly done bridal dressing room was breath taking and we felt comfortable all day. Every guest raved about how beautiful the venue is. There was lots of services included in the price, which was great. My one recommendation is to hire a day of coordinator if you feel you would be too stressed to decorate yourself, as this service is not included. The Clore's worked well with my coordinator and the day turned out perfect!
