I just ordered my dress, veil, and belt from this store....When I got home, I looked back at the pictures they sent me (a great feature!) and noticed I DID NOT like the veil OR the belt! I called my consultant, Amanda (LOVE HER) and she set up and appointment to bring me back in and try on more items! I spent another 2 hours trying every veil on, and many belts until I felt confident I made the right choice. I cant speak to how the end result will be as I have to wait until it all comes in...but my initial impression is a great one and I could not have asked for a better experience!
Madison is simply amazing. I had been shopping for dresses 3 times prior to meeting Madison ( the owner of this bridal salon). I felt rushed and pressured. I went shopping a few days before' black friday' not realizing that sales for wedding dresses would be a thing - and every salon tried to pressure me into a dress because 'I would save $800 if I bought it today'... and that is not me. I take 3 days to consider what dishwasher detergent I am going to purchase. I was never going to find a dress and not have to go home and think about it for a couple days before being sure. Madison completely understood. She also took special note of my body. She found the parts which I would want to accentuate and most likely the parts I would want to make less obvious. She recommended dresses I never would have chosen ,and pulled a couple in the style I thought I wanted... I never would have picked the dress I fell in love with on a hanger. But she knew how it would look on me. We had a long appointment and she really started to get to know me as a person, and what I would be comfortable with. My dress is timeless and amazing and I am so pleased. She was also happy to recommend and excellent atelier so that I can have alterations done. Everyone in her shop was so friendly - I didn't feel embarrassed once by my body or how something looked.
Excellent consultation, Madison is knowledgeable and compassionate. I felt like I had 100% of her attention and understanding the moment we walked in. I could not have created my dream dress without Madison's guidance and vision. Cautionary advice: do your homework a little before committing to purchase. Understand which aspects can be easily altered vs. full reconstruction. I bought a gorgeous dress for a great price with Madison, but ended up spending just as much on alterations due to style and material.
I had such a great experience at Yes to the Dress! Madison was very attentive and helpful. Her experience and knowledge saved ALOT of time, as all of the dresses she pulled for me were EXACTLY what I was asking for. The first dress she put me in ended up being the dress I purchased! I also loved how they took pictures of me from all angles on their own iPad, and then were able to pic-stitch the pictures side-by-side so I could see myself in 2 dresses at once. Madison also has many contacts and preferred vendors that she works with for other aspects of wedding planning. Many of which offer Madison's brides discounts on their services, so that's definitely something to consider! Overall, I loved the experience, would definitely suggest this business to anyone looking for their dress, and had an awesome time saying Yes to my dress here!!!
Working with Madison at Yes to the Dress was a fantastic experience! From the moment you walk in you can feel her genuine warmth and excitement to have you there! She takes the utmost care and pride in her boutique and she goes out of her way to make sure that you're receiving the highest quality service available. Not having much of an idea of what I wanted Madison shared her insights from many years of working in the industry while continuously respecting my needs and feedback. Yes to the Dress offered a wide variety of styles and price ranges, which allowed me to find the perfect dress for my body and my budget! After selecting the dress I came back to Yes to the Dress for Maid of Honor's gown as well as my veil, and I received a discount for each subsequent purchase just for being a return customer. Each and every time I left the boutique I received a warm hug and a big smile and felt genuinely appreciated as a client. I would love to work with Madison and the Yes to the Dress team in the future, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
Just picked up my wedding dress from here last weekend for my wedding this May and I couldn't be happier! I had a clear image of what I wanted when I came in and my bridal consultant picked a lot of different styles for me in budget. I ended up going with the first dress I tried on!
My only minor complaint is that it took 8 months for my dress to come in when I was told it would be around 6, but it wasn't too big of a deal.
I ended up being an exact dress size so they just ordered my to height (with added inches for my shoes) and it ended up being a perfect fit with no alterations needed.
I would definitely recommend this shop. I had a great experience here and the staff were very professional. I am so excited to wear my dress!
Deciding to make an appointment at Yes to the Dress was the best decision! Previous to coming to the adorable shop, I had been to serveral other appointments at other shops. Never did I get a good comfortable feel or helping support as I did at Yes to the Dress. I was lucky enough to have my appointment with Madison the store manager. This women is truly amazing. She is fantastic at was she does, and is clear to see she has had tons of experience. She stayed very patient and supportive as I came back to a few appointments, had said yes to a dress, came back once again because I had change my mind. I finally purchased a dress from her last week. I could not be happier. I am someone who is truly difficult and indecisive. If Madison can find me my perfect dress, surely she can find yours! She is super flexible and understand! I just love her and loved my expirence at Yes to the Dress. She is now helping me find my bridesmaid dresses! :) Make your appointment, I promise you won't be disappointed!
I love the dress I chose for my wedding... Madison happened to pull my dream dress. However, the lack of communication and professionalism when it came to Yes to the Dress really ruined the experience for me. I ordered my dress on April 3rd, 2O14 and was told it would be in by September. The dress did not come in until January 3rd, 2015- 9 months after the fact! I actually believe that if it wasn't for me nagging the store and calling 5 times a week, I probably would not have my dress. Every time I did call, --because NO ONE would reach out to me and communicate the status of my dress....Madison would give me a different story... "it was delayed", "it came by cargo", "it should be in any day now" " you will definitely have your dress before Thanksgiving" "before Christmas" "It is in Florida and should be in our hands in three to five days" (these conversations all happened from September-November) Mind you, I was told it would be in BY SEPTEMBER!! ... Then, after Christmas came and went... I was told "Oh... it's been sitting in the Factory Warehouse and will be shipped out by January 1st" WHAT??! Finally, by JANUARY 3RD my dress came in. I had horror stories thinking the worst happened. The lack of communication and professionalism is a disgrace to this store! I thought I was doing right by ordering my dress a year before my wedding-- Not at this store!!!
I didn't even bother finding out who their seamstress was or how her work was-- the fact that she dealt with Madison was enough for me to say, No thank you!
To top it all off, when I did go and try on my dress... I happened to try on a veil from there just to get an idea of what I wanted.. Madison was all friendly and charming telling me that she could order the veil and that she would call me the following Tuesday--- NEVER received a call. Save your time and DO NOT GO TO YES TO THE DRESS.
Are these people serious with 5 star reviews? This place has clearly gone down the drain. If I could give a -5, then it would be fitting for this store, the owner and our experience. We ordered our bridesmaid dresses in August/September for an April wedding, and now with a month left, WE HAVE NO DRESSES. Why? Because the owner has no idea how to run a bridal business and gave my friend, the bride, the run around for weeks regarding the whereabouts of our dresses (she said they were at the warehouse in Vegas, uh no the designer's warehouse is actually in Florida). They started flat out ignoring calls from us and telling boldfaced lies, so finally my friend showed up at the store only to see that THE WRONG DRESSES were ordered - to which the owner claimed they were the ones we signed for - umm nope not at all. She made the bride and her 61 year old mother stand outside while she apparently tried to figure things out (oh she locked the door too- real nice). The kicker is that the dress that I happened to order was actually discontinued by the designer a month before I bought it! So it was definitely never coming even though she claimed it was on its way. How ignorant can you be! How can someone be so irresponsible and careless when it comes to someone's wedding? You own a business and you screwed up, take accountability! Or at least offer an apology and try to fix things! This place had no problem taking our money for the dresses, but clearly had no plans to make sure we got what we ordered. After the most ridiculous series of events, she finally wrote us all money order refunds and we went to buy dresses off the rack at another store. She also sent the bridesmaids an email (that I never received - go figure) with a contract form requesting our signature so that we don't speak poorly about the store - again, in this email, she did not once apologize for her mistakes and said the bride was declining the dresses we ordered (LOL). Obviously it would be morally wrong to
I initially went to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses and had a terrible experience. It made me nervous that I was going to have a difficult time finding a dress and I wouldn't enjoy the process. We went to Yes to the Dress and I was so happy with the experience! I came with my mom, sister, and a bridesmaid, and just told Madison (the shop owner) about a few things I knew I didn't want. She selected about 8 dresses for me to try on, and I liked every single one of them! She really has an eye for what is flattering and what the clients will like! I purchased the dress that day and had zero problems thereafter. Spent slightly more than I would have liked to, but it was comforting to have someone help you that cares and knows their stuff!
I purchased my wedding gown and the dresses for my bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride at Yes to the Dress. Our gowns were beautiful! Each person looked stunning the day of the wedding.
I do feel as though the pricing of the dresses was good, too. That being said, the process of working with the shop was less than stellar. My wedding gown took quite a long time to arrive. I purchased my dress on December 21st, and it arrived on September 5th. To me, that seems like an inordinate amount of time for a dress to arrive. I understand that sometimes delays occur. However, you would think that in the event of a delay, the store would communicate with the customer. I was not happy with the lack of communication from the store. I feel as though if a dress is significantly delayed, the store should reach out to explain to the bride what is going on. Once the end of May arrived, I couldn't help but start to feel curious about the whereabouts of my dress. I inquired multiple times through the summer, and I received several different accountings. I got to the point where I felt as if I was nagging the store. (This is certainly not the experience that I would have wanted for my wedding dress purchase.) The tone of interaction with the employees varies. Sometimes they are warm, kind, and lovely; other times, they are rather aloof and stand-offish. I found the whole experience with my dress frustrating, although the shop did deliver the bridesmaids' dresses and mother-of-the bride's dresses in a more timely manner. Everything turned out in the end, but I just wish the experience had been less stressful. The reason I started shopping an entire year out from my wedding was so that I would not have to worry about the arrival of my dress. I would recommend this store to another bride only if she has a long turnaround time.
I just purchased my wedding dress this weekend, and i'm thrilled! I initially came to Yes to the Dress in November 2013 and tried on roughly 10-15 gowns. I'm on the smaller end of plus size, and Jenny couldn't have been any more supportive, complimentary and HONEST. First off, she really got me into those gowns. I'm a size 16-18 (street size) but had to fit into bridal 10's and 12's due to sample sizing. Jenny used clips and bungees and gave me a true vision to what I would look like... Other stores barely clip you in! The staff was patient and let me go a bit over my appointment time to get a few more dresses on. I couldn't make my mind up, but Jenny didn't put any pressure on us at all and invited us back 3 weeks later for a trunk show. I ended up buying my previous favorite gown at my 2nd appointment, along with a birdcage veil. The store didn't charge us the extra fee for a plus size gown, which is amazing!
For any brides that are size 14+... I highly recommend you go here and request Jenny. I had terrible experiences at other stores, and even left crying from one. Jenny was wonderful, understood my body type and helped me find my dream gown!
Jenny was the best! I was very overwhelmed ad it was my first time trying on dresses but she made my experience great! I found a dress I loved and she even made time for me to come back in with my bridal party so I could say yes to the dress! We are going back to look for MOB dresses this week :)
I Found my dress online and saw that Yes to the Dress was having a trunk show for this particular designer just a few weeks later. I called Madison and she made sure that the dress I had fallen in love with was at the trunk show for me to try on, which I was truly grateful for. I was really impressed by the Madison, the staff and the store in general when I went to go try on my dress. I felt like they were really giving me the attention and feedback that I had really been looking for at other bridal stores, but had not received.
However, I was not happy with how long it took for my dress and my headpiece to arrive at the store and felt like I did receive a bit of a run around whenever I called to inquire about it. I ordered my dress in early December, and was told it should be in store by late August. I finally received my dress i mid October, only 5 weeks before my wedding, which left me very little time to make sure that alterations were done correctly. I also decided to use the Yest to the Dress recommended tailor. That was the biggest mistake. The tailor, Lena, was a rude nightmare. I could't believe that anyone would openly do business with her and recommend that anyone use her services. Madison tried her best to make me feel better during the fitting, but did nothing to convey to Lena that she was behaving in a horribly and unprofessional way. It was very disappointing.
I can't compare Yes to The Dress to other dress shops because it is the only one that I needed to go to. I started looking for my dress about just about 6 months before the wedding. When I saw the dress I wanted online I called around a few stores that carried that designer. I was left upset because at least three places told me I was way to behind schedule and I wouldn't be able to get it in time, When I called Madison at YTTD she made me feel at ease and assured me we would work it out. I went to the store the next day and tried on a few dresses and left having bought the wedding dress of my dreams. I ended up taking the floor sample which was in impeccable condition and didn't even need any alterations. Madison was very helpful anytime I frantically called her with an accessory question. She made what could have been a very stressful situation absolutely wonderful!
I bought my wedding gown from Yes to the Dress for my October 2014 wedding. The boutique is beautiful with a wide selection of bridal gowns and prices, and they truly make finding your dress a wonderful and memorable experience. The store owner Madison is sweet, passionate, and so knowledgeable about the business, trends, and different designers. She understands everyone has different styles and price ranges and is respectful of that and helps you find your perfect dress. I highly recommend!
The initial meeting with Yes to the Dress was great. My salesperson Jenny helped me to find the perfect dress, one that I didn't even have in mind originally! And she was more than willing to help cater to a curvier waistline. To this day, I look at my dress and fall in love with it all over again (I wish I could live in it). The only complaint I have is it took a while for the dress to come-- which may not be their fault, as they said they encountered issues on the manufacturer's end. But it was still a bit stressful in the months leading up to the wedding. Luckily they got it in in enough time for the seamstress to turn it around and everything worked out fine.
Maddison (the owner) was great! I was a bride on a budget with not a lot of time and she found me the perfect dress for the perfect price.
I had to have a sample dress because I did not have time to order one. She found me the dress for less then my budget. Everywhere else I looked I had to go over my budget to find something I was semi happy with.
She cares about finding you something in your budget and still making you look great!
The ladies at Yes to the dress are so helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to help you achieve your dream look.
Our experience with this shop was a pure nightmare. My daughter was forced to purchase a dress at the last moment because we were repeatedly told that the dress we had ordered (and paid for in full) was delayed. Apparently, Madison West is in the habit of banking your full payment in her interest-bearing account, selling your dress off the floor, and then engaging in endless excuse-making at the last moment. She was only willing to refund 3/4 of the total price one day before I threatened to take her to small claims court. I accepted this compromise just to get her out of our lives. This woman is snake-oil draped in lace and satin. She is morally bankrupt and will do anything to squeeze money out of you. Please avoid this shop at all costs.
Save yourself the stress of dealing with a mismanaged and disorganized business. Yes to the Dress has awful customer service, incredibly long wait times for products, and will sell you a dream they cannot easily provide. Find another dress shop and save yourself the hassle.
My dress arrived seven months after ordering. The shop was incredibly unresponsive and uncommunicative about the status of my dress during this time. It was supposed to come in at the end of May, and just arrived yesterday, July 8. No one at the shop except Madison is allowed to speak to manufacturers and can provide no information on shipping status, etc. It was like pulling teeth to get answers. It took two weeks and seven phone calls to get any information. They also made a mistake on my bridesmaids dresses by writing down the wrong style number for the neckline. The girls ended up liking it, so I didn't change anything, but did alert Madison of this. She was unapologetic and made it seem like it was my fault.
Do your research and go elsewhere. My dress experience has so far been the most stressful part of planning my entire wedding due to this shop. I do not suggest going there. I will also be having my alterations done at another place due to having lost trust in any business associated with Yes to the Dress.
Horrible experience! Dresses fell apart the day of the wedding! My bridesmaids got them back the week before the wedding!
This is the worst store ever....totally corrupt. DON'T BUY YOUR DRESS HERE, PLEASE!!!
I have spent this summer searching for my bridal gown. I was looking for a dress that flattered my figure and had a "one of a kind" look. It also had to complement the antique lace veil I am planning to wear and fit in with my beach venue - all for a reasonable price. Quite a tall order! My Mom and I had been to six boutiques and the large discount chain, and saw many lovely dresses, but none of them were exactly what I was envisioning. A friend suggested we try "Say Yes to the Dress." The owner, Madison, consulted with me for at least half an hour as to my vision and price point. She looked at the veil we had brought with us, and then pulled some dresses. She was able to find my dream dress and help me to style it to perfection. This is a lady who knows her merchandise and is willing to take the time to help her customer find want she wants. We made a second appointment and were able to find the bridesmaids' and mother of the bride's dresses for reasonable prices as well. It must be said that Madison is not afraid to speak up and give her opinion, even if it differs somewhat from that of the customer, but she is the professional and we found her advice to be sound. She knows what she is talking about. You should also know that an appointment is necessary, but once you are in the store you do not feel rushed or pressured. My original visit lasted for a little over three hours. You are not permitted to take pictures of the dresses, but Madison does take pictures with her iPad, so you can see how you photograph in the various styles. Once you decide on a dress, the pictures she has taken can be emailed to you. We were very happy with our shopping experience at Yes to the Dress. They have a large selection of dresses at reasonable prices and personnel who are willing and able to help the bride and her wedding party navigate through it to find the perfect selections.
I had a stunning dress that was perfect for my day and fit my vision and I don't believe I would have found it anywhere else. Madison, the shop owner, is wonderful and will do what it takes to find you the dress of your dreams! The shop is very pricey but it is worth it to get a one-of-a-kind look. You certainly can't find these gowns in David's Bridal. I would, and already have, recommended this shop! In fact, I went there based off a recommendation too!
