The Farm is simply the best. We got married in August 2025 and truly could not have imagined a more magical, perfect day, and we are so incredibly grateful to everyone at The Farm for making that possible. From the very beginning, we knew The Farm was where we wanted to get married. It is a stunning indoor/outdoor venue that fit exactly what we envisioned — an outdoor ceremony with the mountains in the background, surrounded by lush flowers and greenery, and then a chic, beautiful indoor space for dinner and dancing. We planned our entire wedding from out of state, and The Farm team made us feel at ease every single step of the way. The “Taste of the Farm” event is such a wonderful experience, not only do you get to try the amazing food, but you also see the decor come to life and meet local vendors. It made the planning process feel exciting instead of stressful. Our actual wedding day could not have gone more smoothly. Everything looked absolutely perfect. Our family and friends are still talking about how beautiful the venue was and how incredible the food tasted. Most importantly, we truly felt that The Farm cared about us as individuals and about bringing our specific vision to life. We are especially grateful to our coordinator, Zoe, who is truly incredible. She listened to every little request, accommodated everything we hoped for, and made us feel completely at ease. Having her by our side made such a difference. We could not recommend The Farm more highly!!

We used Bar H Ranch for our wedding and had an amazing experience, they have done so much to the property since our wedding and it is amazing to see how far it has come. I would definitely recommend checking them out for any event needs that you may have. We will be using them again for any major event that we have. It is the perfect venue.

What an awesome expeience - I was the mother of the groom, but helped my daughter - in -love as much as i could from the beginning to the end, since her Mother is from another country and arriving the week of the wedding... Jeremy and his crew (shout out to Holly!!) were extremely helpful from begining to end. Anything we needed, they were on it and with a smile on their face. The venue is absolutley beautiful and the extra amenites and little touches they offer are spot on! We also worked with Johnnys bartending services and can i just say WOW!! Nancy was a God send for me! I am ocd and since i wanted everything just right, i thought i was going to have to take care of everything myself, BUT - she stepped in, put my mind at ease and took over! The food and beverage containers (non -alcoholic) were always full and everthing looked clean and tiday at all times. She and the Starlight Meadow staff had everything packed away and ready to load up at the end of the evening. I highly recommend both Starlight Meadow and Johnnys bartending services! You will not be disappointed!

Our daughter recently got married here during a literal snowstorm — and the venue team was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very beginning, Brooke led us with calm confidence. All week long, she helped us think through contingency plans… and then contingency plans for those contingency plans. She kept us informed, steady, and focused as the weather forecast kept shifting. Marsha was proactive and steady. She kept me informed every step of the way, but never once made me feel responsible for managing the stress. I felt aware — and completely taken care of. Donavon was the quiet workhorse of the weekend. Impeccable manners, steady presence, and constantly in motion making things happen behind the scenes. Jarod, Hannah, and Jaden worked all day in the cold and snow — moving snow in the early morning hours, pivoting when vendors canceled, picking up food, resetting plans, and serving guests with genuine smiles. When our caterer canceled the morning of the wedding, this team didn’t blink. They rolled up their sleeves and helped create a beautiful reception for the 95 guests who were able to make it safely through the storm. Not once did they make us feel like we were in crisis. Instead, we felt supported, cared for, and genuinely celebrated. It’s one thing to host a beautiful wedding when everything goes as planned. It’s another to deliver excellence when the unexpected happens — and they did exactly that. If you are planning a wedding in Cashiers — especially a winter mountain wedding — you will be in exceptional hands.

Hawkesdene is such a special venue. You can see it from just looking at the pictures of the beautiful grounds and the backdrop of the western Carolina mountains. But what makes it so wonderful is truly the people and the experience. Our experience venue shopping was unlike any other with Hawkesdene. From the beginning everything was transparent and perfectly laid out. We browsed the website and found all the information about the venue, pricing, and many other details. Rob provided us with a personalized quote within 24 hours of reaching out. From then there was an open line of communication. There were no surprise add on costs and everything was included to create a seamless experience. The guest payment process was also very smooth. We made the trip from Florida to do a site visit and were sure the moment we arrived that we found our venue. During our tour, Rob explained the entire process from booking to what the weekend would look like. Then we had the opportunity to tour every single cottage and Jaylen took us up to see Hawk’s Nest. It was all breathtaking. From there we were introduced to Jami, superwoman, who walked us through the entire planning process from napkin colors to guest accommodations and timelines. We were able to do our planning session on site and go over every single detail at length. The actual weekend was nothing short of magical. Multiple guests came up to us and said that it felt like a movie. The staff were so kind and attentive and treated our guests with so much care. We arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday. While there we did the Hawk’s Nest group hike, a field day with different lawn activities for the kiddos and adults, bonfires, Karaoke, and nightvision manhunt for the daring. The food was delicious and the logistics of it all seamless. We had the Mexican in the Mountains and Smoky Mountain Barbecue menus and a la carte for wedding day. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. Many of our guests loved the potatoes, croissants, and raved about the barbecue. Our wedding day was wonderful. Hawkesdene beyond exceeded our vision! I would be remiss if I also didn’t mention how incredibly talented and attentive Ashley is. She was an absolute wizard with florals and decor details. Many of our guests experienced flight delays and cancellations and she communicated with us to ensure that they would have dinner once they arrived. We had a positive experience with every single member of the staff we encountered. Wedding planning is such an involved process and it is such a breath of fresh air to encounter businesses that are transparent and honest. There is much more we could say about Hawkesdene. It perfectly fit our vision of a weekend away with our loved ones to connect and reset. Thank you to all of the wonderful people at Hawkesdene for making this a weekend we will never forget!

Choosing the perfect venue was one of the most important decisions for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the moment we toured Oakhaven, we received truly exceptional care—anticipating our needs before we could even voice them and consistently going above and beyond to make us feel like family. Their warmth and attention to detail made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. The venue itself is breathtaking, with beautifully landscaped grounds that offered countless photo opportunities. The multiple houses surrounding the venue allowed us more than enough room to have all our friends and family on site while having private space when needed. The Manor house and Cabin gave us peace of mind and allowed everyone in the wedding party to get ready in comfort. The elegant indoor spaces provided a warm and inviting setting for our celebration, and our guests were consistently impressed by both the ambiance and the attention to detail throughout the facilities. The best part, you never have to worry about sharing your weekend with any other party. The barn is updated and they recent addition added more room for us to comfortably fit all our guests, while having plenty of room to dance. One highlight was the accessory room, thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed to create unique details and added touches which saved us hundreds. One particularly unforgettable touch was the Model-T car available for our use. Taking photos with this classic car added a unique, vintage charm to our day, and the ride made us feel like stepping back in time. This thoughtful amenity was a guest favorite and made our celebration even more memorable. Jeanette, Elizabeth, Bob, Jaden, and Gary remained outstanding—professional, organized, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. They worked closely with us during planning, offering helpful suggestions and listening to our ideas. Jeanette and Elizabeth saved our big day when we had issues with one of our vendors by finding a last-minute replacement. They also added little touches to the itinerary simply because they knew it would make me smile. On the wedding day, everything ran smoothly thanks to their expertise and unwavering support. Overall, our wedding exceeded all our dreams, thanks in large part to this incredible venue and its remarkable team. Patience (owner) and the staff pour their heart into making Oakhaven a one-of-a-kind venue. It shows in every way. They have so many nods to the past while incorporating modern amenities. We enthusiastically recommend it to any couple seeking a beautiful location, outstanding staff and amenities, and a truly unforgettable event.

My husband and I just got married September of 2024. We had such an incredible experience here at WinMock, I cannot recommend it enough! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff is incredible, and the food through Providence Catering was delicious! I tell all of my friends they need to get married here! 11/10 recommend!

My daughter and husband were married at this site in June 2022. We toured in fall of 2021, after what was then a serious flood. We, like most of the people who use this venue, arranged to stay on the site with the full wedding party and family members for 3 full nights and 4 days. So unlike the individuals that are commenting, we have first hand knowledge of the venue, the staff and the owner. First, the area that is shown fully flooded recently, is well above where past flooding has occurred. There is no way that anyone with knowledge and experience with this property would ever have thought that those upper pastures would flood at such a high level. Look at the picture of the reception tent. Water is almost to the tent level which is close to 9-10 feet off of the ground. This tent sits 400-500 yards from the river and is elevated from the river area in two progressions. The flood in 2021 didn't make it past the ponds at the first progression. No one could have anticipated anything like this. I would ask the individual who took this video that has caused all these callous comments that if they were so intelligent and had such foresight, why did they remain on the property during the storm or for that matter why did they book a venue that they knew would flood so dangerously? And the answer is simple, because they didn't know what was going to happen. Just like the owners and staff did not know or anyone else for that matter in the entire region. Please have a bit more empathy for people who are suffering and have lost maybe everything they have. I have met them and worked with them, seen them with their animals and I know that they are distraught over what has happened, so callously commenting with no first-hand knowledge of the geography or people just to make yourself feel better about your views on animal well-being has done no one a service, but has materially impacted real human beings. Good human beings.
