Chestnut Ridge is a family-owned wedding venue located in Canton, North Carolina. Since 2017, the Gregg family has been welcoming couples and their loved ones to celebrate their nuptials at their remarkable property. Throughout this hillside estate, your guests will experience breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, rolling hills, and lush forest. With its seamless balance of rustic charm and sophisticated elegance, this venue is an unforgettable setting to host a dream wedding event.
Facilities and Capacity
Throughout the various event spaces at Chestnut Ridge, events of up to 200 guests can be accommodated. To begin your day, you will be invited to prepare with your wedding party in the luxury of the property’s Bridal Suite. Alternatively, relax and unwind before the day’s festivities in the Groom’s Den that features a large flat-screen television, lounge furniture, and a bar area. A number of locations are available to choose from for your ceremony and reception. For an open-air scenic ceremony space, the pavilion boasts 2,543-square-feet of covered event space, surrounded by the beauty of rural North Carolina. The patio area is a warm, inviting spot to host a sophisticated cocktail reception before moving into the barn for a grand soirée. With over 6,400 square feet of space, the barn is an ideal choice for your reception. With vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams, an eye-catching fireplace, and glorious chandeliers, the existing features of this versatile banquet hall will complement your chosen decor.
Services Offered
This full-service venue offers multiple wedding packages to choose from, including packages that include wedding planning services. A variety of event items will be available for use, including farm tables, round tables, high-top cocktail tables, and bistro furniture. Seating options for you and your loved ones include pew seating and cross-back wooden chairs. Set-up and clean-up services are provided, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy your day without worrying about the small details. Your chosen caterer will be welcome to set up and prepare in the spacious kitchen, located directly adjacent to the main reception area.

The Perfect Venue for Our Dream Wedding!!
Being a destination wedding, we wanted a venue with beautiful decor to utilize and reliable communication throughout planning… Chestnut Ridge nailed both. The venue itself is stunning and impeccably maintained. So many guests commented that it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended!
The Bridal Suite and Groom’s Den are spacious and stunning, with plenty of room to get ready. The mountain view from the Bridal Suite is such a calming way to start the morning!
We loved the ceremony pavilion and having our cocktail hour outside to enjoy the gorgeous Fall weather. And even if the weather hadn’t cooperated, the built-in contingency plans meant no tents were needed. The reception space is immaculate and dreamy. We had 67 guests and worried it might feel too big, but it was absolutely perfect.
We’re so glad we chose Chestnut Ridge, this venue will always hold a very special place in our hearts. 💕
A Beautiful Venue
I also can't say enough about the staff. I mostly communicated with Taylor (the owner) leading up to the wedding. (I wasn't able to use them as my planner since their planner was getting married the same day - but I would have if I could). Taylor was amazing. I don't know how she responds as quickly as she does. Everytime I met her, she was so warm and welcoming.
The day of our wedding, Taylor wasn't there, but every single member of the CR staff was friendly and helpful. We even got compliments on how nice the bartenders were. We really could not say enough great things about this venue. If you can afford it, you really won't be disappointed!

We were incredibly fortunate to work with Emily P. as our planner—she was instrumental in bringing our dream wedding to life. Her attention to detail, creativity, and unwavering support made the entire planning process seamless and enjoyable. I highly recommend utilizing the in-house planning services; they are truly worth it.
The owner, Taylor, was also an absolute joy to work with—professional, kind, and dedicated to making sure our day was perfect in every way. The entire Chestnut Ridge team is outstanding, and it’s clear how much they care about each couple’s experience.
I wholeheartedly recommend Chestnut Ridge for any wedding or special event. It is a breathtaking venue run by an exceptional team, and I’m so grateful to have celebrated our special day there.

I also cannot praise Emily enough - we hired her as our venue coordinator and we ADORED every interaction with her from our site visit to our wedding day. My family who took home all of our personal items after the reception sang the highest praises of Emily and the CR team at how organized and quick they were to help with collecting items post the reception.
I said it in the beginning of the review and will say it again - if you are considering Chestnut Ridge for your event - ASK FOR THE CONTRACT IMMEDIATELY!!!! :)

Taylor and her husband Preston have poured endless love and hard work into this venue. What started as an empty (although beautiful) ridge where the two got married, has come a timeless wedding venue for more to enjoy! They have thought of EVERYTHING you need to host a beautiful wedding, from stunning groom/bridal suites down to the multiple areas available to get married! I am blown away by the beauty of Chestnut Ridge every time I walk in, and I cannot speak highly enough of the ease in working with Taylor and her team. Prompt communication, friendly recommendations and a big southern smile are sure to be included!
