The English Country Barn of the Carolinas had certainly looked beautiful online, but we immediately found that it was even more incredible in person. During our initial tour with Ian, we became completely enamored by the venue, amazed by the ceremony spaces, the reception and cocktail hour areas, the dressing rooms, and even the abundance of restrooms. We walked down the aisle in The Enchanted Wood and realized it was everything we had been hoping for. Meeting with Teresa, we gained advice, resources, and answers. During the planning process, we visited the venue 4 times and sent countless emails with consistently quick responses. I was surprised, relieved, and grateful that so many items were available for use with no extra charge (decor, signs, tablecloths, speakers, etc). Having venue access for the weekend was a game-changer for us as well, allowing us to set up all day on Friday, rehearse Friday evening, enjoy our Saturday wedding, and pack up to leave Sunday morning without stress or hassle. We even ordered some of Teresa’s homemade macarons and tiramisu shots for our wedding day, and they were absolutely delightful. It was ideal to work with the couple that owns the venue, and it was clear that Ian and Teresa are determined to constantly improve their venue for the benefit of their clients. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, and we cannot thank them enough for doing everything they could to make it that way. The English Country Barn is gorgeous, and the owners are superb. Don’t wait to schedule your tour or book your wedding because the ECB is a gem, and you will not want to miss out on your dream wedding.

This is one of the most beautiful and well thought out venues I have ever been to. All the vendors had plenty of space to work, there’s a full kitchen, a side room for the food, and an outdoor area perfect for cocktail hour. There are multiple choices for the ceremony including indoor and outdoor choices, a huge gravel parking lot for guests, parking up close for vendors; everything was just perfect. It’s less than an hour from Wilmington which is such a bonus for such a beautiful place and they have separate accommodations that you can rent to stay closer to the venue and a sweetheart cottage for the newlyweds on the property. They offer a weekend package deal that was so nice because we got to decorate on Friday, have the wedding on Saturday, and get all of our stuff out on Sunday morning. The barn is amazing for the reception and includes two dressing areas that were great for us getting ready for the wedding. The owners were very friendly and very responsive to any and all questions while planning, during setup, and personally came to make sure we had everything we needed before the ceremony. Absolute 10/10!

The English Country Barn is truly a dream venue, and Teresa and Ian are absolute angels. From the very beginning, they were supportive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our day special — but what truly sets them apart is how they handled the unexpected.

We were hit with an icy storm on our wedding day, and instead of panic or chaos, Teresa and Ian stepped in with calm, care, and total professionalism. They helped guide us through every challenge, made adjustments seamlessly, and did everything in their power to make sure we still had the most beautiful day and experience possible. Because of them, what could have been a stressful situation turned into a day filled with love, peace, and joy.

The houses they offer to stay in are absolutely perfect and worked out so well for our weather that we had come our way!

The venue itself is stunning, warm, and full of charm!! But it’s the hearts behind it that make it extraordinary. We will forever be grateful for their kindness, dedication, and support. If you’re looking for a venue where you’re treated like family and not just a booking, The English Country Barn is it. We couldn’t recommend Teresa and Ian more!!

My husband and I went and toured the english country barn at the end of 2024, and immediately knew before the end of the tour that we had to book! It wasn’t just the beautiful venue but it was Ian and Teresa that made the decision final…. they are the sweetest most involved venue owners we’ve had the pleasure of meeting! They were helpful and accommodating throughout the whole wedding planning process! Our day turned out absolutely perfect! We couldn't have found a better venue and met more caring venue owners! I would definitely recommend The English Country Barn of the Carolina’s!!

We absolutely loved working with Teresa and Ian! The English Country Barn of the Carolinas was a beautiful venue and we couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect it was exactly what we were looking from with outdoor chapels and a barn reception building. They made sure we had everything we needed and took extra care with their couples. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone!

Teresa and Ian are the most amazing people ever! We toured a few venues before we came and saw The English Country Barn. Once we talked to them and toured the venue when we left there was no doubt in our mind that their venue was the one we wanted to have our amazing wedding in. They go above and beyond and also have the best vendors to choose from to help make the day very special.

To top it off out of all the venues we toured they were the only ones to offer a 3 day weekend to help ease the stress of all the planning and clean up.

From our very first visit to the moment the last car pulled away from the venue, Ian and Teresa were there every step of the way to ensure our daughter’s wedding was truly the wedding of her dreams.
The English Country Barn of the Carolinas checked every box our daughter was looking for: a beautiful barn setting, the ability to stay on the premises for an extended time with their bridal party, the chance to bring her horse and dog, a perfect rain-day plan (which we thankfully didn’t need), the option to host the rehearsal dinner on-site, collaborative vendors familiar with the venue, and, most importantly, involved owners who were always available to answer questions. Ian and Teresa had it all.
To be honest, it was difficult to imagine how so many different moving pieces would come together—but it truly took our breath away to see how seamless and beautiful everything turned out.
We arrived on Thursday and hosted a wonderful parent and bridal party dinner at the farmhouse. On Friday, our daughter’s horse arrived and was treated like royalty—he settled right in and loved all the fresh grass! The rehearsal dinner on the beautiful patio that evening was magical, and guests were in awe of the breathtaking setting.
Saturday morning began early in the bridal suite, where the girls had a lovely space to relax and prepare for the day ahead. Watching the barn below transform into a dream come true brought tears to our eyes every time we peeked out. We knew how many people were working hard while we sipped mimosas and celebrated our bride-to-be.
Then came the photos—the bride, the groom, the horse, and the pup—each one more stunning than the last against the lush, green backdrop. The garden ceremony was simply exquisite. As the doors opened and my daughter appeared on her father’s arm, it was like a fairytale come to life. I have never seen her smile so much. In that moment, I knew all her dreams were coming true in a place that felt like home.
The reception in the barn was a night to remember—the warmth, the colors, the candles, the dancing, the food, the flowers, the cupcakes, the laughter, the love, the family, and the friends.
Ian and Teresa, we cannot thank you enough for helping make our daughter’s (and son-in-law’s) dreams come true and for hosting such a spectacular weekend.

Our wedding at the English Country Barn was all that we wanted for our special day. The venue's ambiance, especially the Enchanted Woods, was beautiful. The venue offers many settings for ceremony which is a peace of mind to have plan B, especially with NC weather. The owners, Ian and Teresa are great with communication always quick to respond all questions

This venue was perfect. Beautiful. Indoor and outdoor space. No stress if it was going to rain. Plenty of time to set up the day before the wedding. Theresa and Ian responded so quickly anytime we needed them to. Highly recommend this venue!!
