The Lucas Farm

Established in 1875, The Lucas Farm is a historic wedding venue in Currie, NC, where coastal appeal meets country style. Originally a tobacco farm, owners David and Rebecca Lucas Jones have transformed the cropland into a 450-acres private oasis immersed with longleaf pine. They invite you to make the most of their serene sanctuary and host a dream wedding to remember.

Situated 20 miles from Downtown Wilmington, The Lucas Farm is a historic wedding venue in Currie, North Carolina, effortlessly combining rustic flair with a coastal appeal. First established as a tobacco farm in 1875, this 450-acre haven now features elegant refurbished event spaces tucked behind lush longleaf pine. After two years of dedicated work, owners David Lucas Jones and wife Rebecca are pleased to offer their serene establishment to host your dream wedding.

Facilities and Capacity

Each setting on The Lucas Farm is designed to adapt to unique visions no matter the season. The Pecan Orchard offers a leveled place for a tented structure of any size with picturesque scenes that will delight guests and photographers alike. The Pecan orchard is also a magnificent place for an outdoor ceremony. Meanwhile, the beautifully refurbished barn is a masterclass in how to elevate a time-honored building while embracing its originality. The striking open-floor setting features tongue and groove pine ceilings and rough-cut timber walls, which come alive with rich lighting and elegant décor. Here, you can host up to 175 guests for the ceremony and 150 for a seated dinner. The main barn comes fully equipped with air conditioning, and heating, as well as access to a patio adorned with Edison lights and a fire pit and patio tables and chairs. The farm also has a back barn that can be used for a covered place for the wedding ceremony, a "rain" back up plan and a lovely spot for a rehearsal dinner. This back barn is lined with cedar siding and a tin ceiling as well as full electrical. Outside, you'll also find the charming converted Bar Shed, which features a surfboard bartop and coolers. The carriage house has been converted into a caterers kitchen and 2 restrooms.The 3,000 square-foot Farmhouse and 1,500 square-foot Schoolhouse offer get-ready homes for both wedding parties with plenty of light for catching every detail. The schoolhouse is available to rent for the night before and/or the night of event if available for an additional fee.

Venue Rental

• $5,500.00 (Friday,Saturday and Sunday) - 12-hour access to barn, farmhouse, schoolhouse, and bar shed

• Weekend Package deal-Rehearsal dinner, wedding and 2 nights in the schoolhouse.Full access from Friday at noon until Sunday at noon-$10,000.00

• Additional $375.00 per night to stay at the school house
