We stumbled on the 108 Budleigh while perusing through venues online and immediately fell in love with it. Working with Allison was easy and straightforward which was necessary since we were planning our wedding sight unseen from across the country. Allison was great with allowing our photographer in to check out the venue to look at lighting beforehand and with making sure that we had everything we needed. We chose to pay to get in a day early and were happy that we did because it was extremely relaxed. The space is bright and open with separate spaces that all blended together in a way that made it easy to use for a ceremony and reception. We loved the simple elegance of the 108 Budleigh and were extremely happy with the wedding!

As an event planner, I worked directly with Velvet Venues as the banquet center and primary point of contact for this event. They did not simply provide a space — Velvet Venues coordinated and managed the entire event to precision, including vendor alignment, timing, and on-site execution. I am writing this review because she personally asked me to, and I agreed immediately. I was genuinely impressed. I have known her for many years, but I had never seen her operate at this level of detail, control, and excellence. The way the event was managed showed leadership, confidence, and deep understanding of how a successful celebration must run. Every element was intentional. Vendors were properly guided, the program flowed smoothly, and guests experienced the event without disruption. Velvet Venues proved they are not just a venue, but a banquet center capable of managing complex events with precision and grace. I would confidently recommend Velvet Venues for weddings and high-level celebrations where execution truly matters.

We fell in love with this venue here on Wedding Wire when we first looked. After that we compared everything back to it. They are great to work with. The pavilion inside with the ceiling lights and built-in bar is beautiful. Getting married on the docks and having the marina being the backdrop of all our pictures was absolutely perfect. They have a list of recommended vendors, but ensured us that we could any vendors we wanted without any issues. This venue is so easy to make it exactly what you are looking for. Also October is a great time there, just book early!

Fall in the mountains is never a disappointment, but add the beauty of Lake Junaluska & a sweet stone chapel and its perfection. Each person we show our wedding photos to (shoutout Darrell Cassell Photography, photos attached) says it looks like a fairy tale, and I couldn’t agree more! Kelley was so helpful during planning and I would definitely recommend Lake Junaluska as a wedding destination to any bride and groom!

The GBMH created my perfect dream wedding. It was so nice to know everything was taken care of! Decorations, tables/chairs, linens, dishes, the BEST food - they truly have it all!! I cannot recommend them enough. It is a great value for all that is included! All of the staff members are so kind and helpful. And it is so nice that they take care of all set up and tear down. Everything was beautiful and I could not have been happier with it!

Great venue, good parking, beautiful brick for pictures, doesn't need much decorating, plenty of space (small dance floor), quick responses, quick returned security deposit (within a week), overall good experience. No complaints.

Planning my wedding for at the Village Beach Club was absolutely a dream! Especially during the pandemic, they were very accommodating to push back our date 3 times due to special restrictions. This is the most affordable, low-key, beautiful option we found, and working with Nicole was just the best. She highly took care of me that day, despite last minute rain, taking care of all of our decor, and following any instruction we discussed perfectly. Highly recommend her and the venue beautiful!

We absolutely LOVE working with The Venue staff. Not only is the location perfect with the ability to walk to absolutely everything FUN and interesting in Downtown Asheville, but it's also on a very peaceful street. The staff are super organized and extremely talented. They take your vision and make it a reality. We have had the pleasure of working countless weddings with their crew and the space makes everything look good, including us. It's a great place to party and we love that the owners are dedicated to contributing to their local community. They are simply good people and I believe that really matters when you choose who to do business with.

We are so glad we chose the University Club at NC State ballroom for our wedding venue. It was a lovely setting for our Christmas winter wedding. The ballroom was gorgeous and the food was very good. The event planner, Cassie Parks, was very responsive and helpful in delivering a perfect venue experience.

The food was delicious and the price was very affordable. They were receptive to my needs, and were willing to work with me and my other vendors.
