Twickenham House is located on Phoenix Mountain, which is known as the “Rocky Mountain of the East” due to its 1.6 mile cliff face. This mountain overlooks the historic village of Jefferson, North Carolina and is surrounded by spectacular geological formations and a broad array of indigenous wildlife. The grounds are great for walking, hiking, cross-country skiing and mountain biking, offering 50 mile-long range views from the terrace with a fireplace built in the cliffs.
